I am not an insecure woman, however, I am a plus size woman and have had some seriously negative experiences with other photographers. In addition to that, my husband gave me the gift when I was 7 months pregnant with our miracle baby. Every preconceived notion I had about Theresa was blown away. I try not to judge a book by a cover, but my initial thoughts were, "What does this gorgeous, petite, woman, know about posing my pregnant plus size curves?" Boy would she prove me wrong. My photos were amazing and worth every penny. My first session was March 9, 2013. I would come back again to have photos done of my daughter and I together after she was born. Then again for Christmas 2013. I will be back again for our anniversary this year!! I only had a small window I could go for a shoot and, even though I wasn't able to give her much notice and she's officially booked through August, she juggled things around to fit me in. I then received a tips email and a reminder email prior to the session. Her studio is quite inconspicuous on the outside. Once inside there's a pleasant sitting area, a makeover room and a lovely boudoir room. Theresa starts by reviewing the process step-by-step including photo purchase options. I really appreciated everything being clarified up front like that. Then off to the boudoir room (no hair/makeup for me this time) and again Theresa carefully reviewed the game plan. 3 wardrobe changes, 3 poses per wardrobe change, and varity within the pose (look up, look at me, look over your shoulder, that sort of thing). Theresa demonstrated the poses and had lots of patience with me as I did my best to replicate them :-) The hour flew by and the pace was fast, yet eveything was relaxed and we had fun along the way chitchatting about all sorts of stuff. She shared some raw results in her viewfinder which were outstanding. I'm a long way from photogenic but Theresa obviously knows just what to do to accenuate your positives, hide your negatives and make you look good. Looking at her work on her web site and Facebook page she spends a lot of painstaking time on retouching to ensure providing results that delight.

Kapri responded quickly, answered all of my questions, and offered exactly the type of professional headshot session I was looking for at a very fair price. During the session, Kapri was friendly, professional, and made me feel completely comfortable. She guided me through every pose and expression, which was especially helpful since I had never had professional business headshots taken before. I never felt rushed, and she took numerous photos with a variety of poses to ensure there were plenty of great options to choose from. Less than 24 hours later, I received an online proof gallery with clear instructions for selecting my favorite images. The selection process was simple and convenient. After making my selections, the final edited photos were delivered promptly and looked polished and professional. Once-in-a-lifetime proposal, and we had to fight for everything. Verify your files before accepting…read moredelivery. Kapri photographed our surprise engagement proposal. The moment itself is priceless to us -- which makes what followed harder to accept. Delivery problems: Our gallery was first sent to a complete stranger before it reached us. The delivered photos had tilted horizons across multiple images, soft/out-of-focus shots, and inconsistent color and exposure. The $300 wall: When we asked for the RAW files so we could correct the issues ourselves, we were told that would cost $300 via Zelle -- on top of the $300 session that was quoted in writing as including "all photos in digital form, full size, with professional print options." What we found when we checked the files: Most of the "full resolution" downloads were only 2,272×3,408 pixels (~7.7MP) -- roughly a third of what her Canon R6 actually produces -- while a few images in the same gallery came through at full size, proving the rest had been downsized. Only after we presented the file-dimension evidence did she re-export the gallery at true full resolution at no charge. The full-res files revealed the deeper problem -- the camera settings themselves. The blur wasn't a file issue; it was captured that way. One movement shot (a dip pose) was taken at 45mm, f/5, 1/100s, ISO 2,500 -- a shutter speed too slow to freeze that motion, with ISO already high, producing visible blur and softness. Another was shot at ISO 12,800 at 1/60s. All on an 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 consumer superzoom lens, for a planned evening session photographing moving people. These choices raise real questions about the ability to select appropriate equipment and settings for the conditions -- and the resulting noise, motion blur, and missed focus can never be recovered by any editing. Several photos of a once-in-a-lifetime moment are simply unusable. Bottom line: We ultimately received our full-resolution files and a written print release -- but only because we knew how to check pixel dimensions and pushed back with evidence over several days. Most clients would never know what they didn't receive. If you book here: get the print release in writing before the shoot, ask what lens and settings will be used for evening sessions, and verify your file dimensions before accepting delivery. Update, re: owner's reply -- RAW files were never the point; full resolution was. When RAWs were quoted at $300, we asked instead for the images we paid for to be re-exported at full resolution -- which she did at no charge. That speaks for itself. My review stands.
