There was plenty of parking and it appears that there are classes and art showings in different buildings on the site, as well as a cafe, although we didn't go in any. The framing shop itself is set inside a small building with lots of beautiful paintings and prints as well as unique craft items and gifts. There were many framing and matting options and a very helpful saleslady gave us tasteful suggestions while listening to our wants. We just picked up our three art pieces and they look better than we had hoped! Price was very competitive and less expensive than we expected. They give a 10% discount if you pre-pay for the services. Overall, very happy we have found our new framing provider! Highly recommend!

At this little shop they offer a fast, friendly and reasonable service though. In 2019, I purchased a mahogany chest of drawers and a small mahogany Pembroke work table. They were of fine quality and if available in the US would have cost three times as much. The chest now sits in an upstairs study and is so absolutely perfect you would think it had sprouted directly from the floorboards. I have purchased from other dealers and they have been costly mistakes. It is easy to get the purchase of antiques very, very wrong. Thakeham operates with the highest integrity. Unfortunately one small part of the bed had a mark on it when delivered but it was replaced with no fuss in a couple of days.
