Rather than working towards an overriding theme, the exhibition is defined by the size of the works - all pieces measure 40 x 40 cm. A good size which works well for photographs and paintings alike - and fits on regular walls in regular homes. No wonder quite a few pieces were snapped up on opening night! Mince pies were a nice touch!! I wonder if I'd even noticed this gem if I had just walked down the road. The main shop window on Denmark Hill is dedicated to the framing business. The main gallery space is towards the back of the building with a separate entrance from a side street. Beautiful basement gallery!

The price range of the art work never exceeds £3,000 and start as low as £50. The owners of this gallery also happen to be the creators of the now renowned 'Affordable Art Fair' which takes place twice a year in London and has now spread through other locations in Europe. Unfortunately for this gallery, I find that it is located in a rather unlikely place, in the middle of a residential upmarket area and is a bit hard to access. I feel that it could do much better in a more accessible and central location.

They have a selection of ready-made frames as well. The artist shop has a very wide choice of materials and makes, and they also sell greeting cards and stationery. They do have some oils and acrylics but the best quality ones they offer are Georgian oils, they have quite a good selection of brushes but it's better if you're more of a crafts person. They have loads of paper choices, pens, drawing materials etc. They also have lots of craft items like beads, card, glue and more. They also sell some nice gift cards. The prices are quite good but again if you're on a budget make the effort to go to Atlantis as the prices are slightly cheaper.

We spent almost four hours going through exquisite jewelry collections and learning about the company's history, designers and inspiration for their creativity. The gallery is spacious with high ceilings, great air quality, lighting and clean! The restrooms were also just as nice! SAATCHI GALLERY is a lovely place to explore !

I had only recently come across the term "ego-seum" and while I dislike the word itself I just love the idea of collectors opening their homes to fellow art lovers. Gallery 286 has a lovely old-fashioned museum feel to it which provides a lovely backdrop for the art on display. I was fascinated with the current "Light Art" show which includes mind-blowing kinetic works by Andrew Ryder in the main reception room and a selection of holograms in the downstairs gallery - the main consignment of works by Dora Tass and August Muth was delayed in customs, but the selection of pieces from Jonathan Ross's (no, not Wossy) personal collection were equally fascinating. I was particularly lucky to get a chance to chat to both the host and a couple of artists - a truly enlightening evening.

Now in its sixteenth year, this is the largest artists' fair in the UK, and features over 150 artists from the UK and overseas, selling paintings, photographs, sculptures and prints directly to the public (ie with no commission - saving up to 40%). I went there a few years ago with my partner's cousin, who was exhibiting her photography there. The venue is part of the Old Town Hall complex, and is about ten minutes' walk from Clapham Junction station. It is a little pricey to get in, but the range and quantity of art on display is impressive. Not every stall will take your fancy though - some of it is very mainstream, others very eclectic, so it depends on your taste. As well as straightforward art, there are artists who specialise in painting things like your pet's portrait, if you are so moved. But there's bound to be something that takes your fancy. Unfortunately for me, I seem to be born with expensive tastes: rather than the stuff around £40, I seem drawn like a bee to a honey pot to the stuff in the £4,000 bracket. I don't know if this means I have good taste, or just an eye for the commercially popular. My other half and I eventually bought a photographic print for around £90. Refreshments are available, and there's a jazz band playing during the Friday evening reception.

On first visit what will hit you is the clean lines and whiteness of it all. It is very similar in feel and mood to the White Cube on the other side of the Southbank. It's so clinical, white and spacious it perfectly marries a modern theme of art and the restaurant that Damien Hirst wanted to portray it would seem. It's actually two floors but a lot of rooms that are vast wit very high ceilings and lots of Space to see the art from back afar. It feels like the gallery of the future. Something you might see Kubrick do for one of his films, and for that it gets high praise from me. The exhibit wasn't amazing but the space did let the work sing as you walked through it and did that job well.

A reminder that it is always worth turning off the main road to explore hidden corners and side streets. The gallery is located at the corner of Thankeray Street, a hidden gem of small shops and cafes running parallel to Kensington High Street - well worth a visit if you want to get a feel for the area's history. The gallery specialises in architectural and classical prints, in particular of the local area, which are displayed in charming surroundings. The owners are equally charming and very knowledgeable. They run a framing workshop on site and are true experts in their field.
