The main reason for this…read morebeing that for a ladies hair cut you require a pre-arranged appointment and I tend to decide at the last minute that I really NEED a hair cut. Yet, I have heard very good things about this place on the man side of things. Yes, I'll attempt to do a Barbers review based on things that I have heard from some of the males in my life. Please, cut me some slack here - this was not the easiest thing to do: "Oh you went there - what was it like?" "Good" "What'd you mean?" "That it was good" "Yes, but why??" "You know..." etc etc After some very direct questions I could fathom that this place is good because of the following: 1) You don't need an appointment. 2) You get a good, decent hair cut. 3) Said hair cut is done very quickly, but also to a high standard. 4) The prices are very reasonable and much as any other Barbers. 5) The staff are very friendly and chatty (and potentially flirty - though, this was coming from an egotistical male friend and the other two men did not mention anything along these lines at all). So all in all, top marks. If only, I could get the above without an appointment.

As it's recently opened, there are still a few bits and bobs that need done around the shop but its starting to look good so far and Brian mentioned all the little things he's going to do with the place (He's completed a lot of the refurb by himself). Brian was very friendly and easy to chat to. As he's a local he knew most of the customers by name which was nice. He gave me a great haircut (best I've had from a local barbers) and was dirt cheap, which made me tip him as I felt it was a bit of steal! I'd definitely recommend this barbers and will be back when my hair starts to over grow again.

The chat from the cutters is pretty good, the drink is on tap, and the prices not extortionate. It feels pretty serious, without being pompous: that is, they know their hair and how to get the best style, but they don't show off about it!
