From the moment Chris Wolverton walked in he made us feel so comfortable and confident that he was the right contractor for the job. We were not disappointed. I would give these guys a ten if that was an option. The tradesmen working with Chris were all very highly skilled and easygoing. And after having a complete kitchen and bath remodel I determined we needed a laundry remodel too. They are just wonderful and each one of them have become part of the family. He also honored the price he gave even though went above and beyond on things I requested last minute. I am very thorough and what things done the way I like it. I called/text Mr. Wolverton at all times of the day through the whole process. What was refereshing is that he called/text back within the hour (even on weekends and during his vacation)! We compared with several different companies and decided with John McCarter and I am glad we did. Our experience started with Clyde, who really did win this deal for them. He was the ONLY one who brought us any kind of mock up for our house, offered design suggestions, and even gave us advice for our roof for a future project. I highly suggest you ask for him. He explained the entire project and how it would work. Next we worked with James, who did final field measures. And double crossed the t's and dotted the i's to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted before they ordered. We very much appreciated this. While we were working with James, we had an attic inspection done by Jim who caught a leak in our attic! So added bonus, always better to find that sooner. When you have a project this large, things ARE GOING to go wrong. The important thing is how does the company handle things when they go wrong. And I can give nothing but the highest praise to this company and specifically our Project Manager John Giese in this regard. He always got in front of every issue, quickly communicated everything and kept the project on track The job is split into separate crews, Vas was the Forman for the actual siding. And to this day I can't believe how fast and efficient his crew was. The gutter team of Hunter, Aubrey, and Jason were quick and offered great guidance! Helped us consolidate a downspout! One less for me to step on! Tony came out and quickly fixed our before mentioned attic leak. Dan and Josh took fantastic care of us when installing all our doors. They spent extra time making sure they were PERFECT. They also did painting work to fix some issues with the siding. Julio and Jeicob made our house truly look BRAND NEW!

I put a deposit down on a lot late last year and then discovered I was facing multiple…read moresurgeries from major injuries and could not do the move across country from the West Coast to Michigan. In addition to a recent unexpected loss and illness causing major delays, I could not see selling my home to buy this one having needed a place for recoveries. I notified them as soon as this was told to me, within a couple months of doing paperwork last JANUARY in the middle of winter...NO building or excavation or any movement on construction had begun. ONLY paperwork. They are refusing to not only give the deposit back, but are threatening to build the entire house making me find money to purchase it only to immediately sell. They are even refusing to allow another buyer to assume the build! Nothing that I am going through has been addressed...nothing. They simply say they will not allow me out of the build. The stress of going through this and the physical things I am facing has tripled my stress along with recent personal loss of my long time service dog. I relayed my concerns and unknowns to the salesperson during the original transaction. His response was, "We are not in the habit of keeping people's deposits." I trusted this person and now am facing a year of extreme stress dealing with this while trying to get well. I had not even finished the selection process, it was so early in the purchase. His response was they would just choose things themselves and go through with the build. When this lot in this large community could easily be sold to someone else with the same build, NO ONE can understand this treatment and why they would put a senior who is struggling through this. EVERYONE should know this is happening as I reached out early when I found out to mitigate any other expenses. Your home build should be special and meaningful and make you want to belong to the community, especially at this time in our life. No one who has followed this treatment will ever have anything to do with this company or community. Del Webb and Pulte should be ashamed. I have waited in good faith and must put my efforts to getting well, but I will always reman shocked that a company this large would care so little. I thank everyone who has been there to support a widow alone. It has not been easy dealing with something so senseless.
