Really don't mind the 2nd Amendment infowars feel in there, but this being my second time going there I left with a ridiculous haircut... AGAIN. Maybe it's my fault that I don't know the clipper sizes and all that, but I showed the guy my license for reference and my hair is jacked up. Short on the sides, longer on the top. I went here for a haircut about 2 weeks ago and there service is amazing! Everything about this shop is amazing. They did exactly as I told them and they are very gentle. Also the haircuts are pretty cheap, I payed around 20 Dollars for a nice haircut. Only downside is that they are sometimes packed and have a very small store, other than that, it is a very good barber shop and has some very amazing people working in there. read more

By far THE BEST barber shop, perhaps on the planet! Staff is courteous and competent. Training for new hires is a must so nothing is left to chance. Always a ton of staff on hand because although never being reviewed here, it is clearly not the best kept secret. I think people probably drive from the surrounding area to go to Tony's. After moving back to the city and having nothing near me but a chain choppery, you really miss a good haircut. Seems like such a simple thing right? Only downside is that they are normally packed. Early and late are the times to go. Call for an appointment once you find a barber you like in particular. Some are better than others but none are bad. This place is a fire hazard waiting to happen. Clutter everywhere, no space for the staff to sit. How should I describe the décor? Think 80's traveling carnival, the type that sold those cheesy framed pictures of scantily clad women bent over a pick-up truck with a double entendre phrase below. Wall to wall brown paneling. I felt embarrassed for the barber's who feel they need to lower themselves into the pit in dying need of a makeover. My guess is must be the money because their parking lot is constantly filled. The money could blind anyone from realizing they work in a hell hole. My haircut was nice. The barber took his time. If I were to recommend anything it would be the barber, but then I would be recommending this depressing setup. Poor Cape Cod. When will the owner take the money and build a respectful business structure. From the reviews posted and the shops own website, I was duped into believing the professional website would translate to the storefront. Was very happy with the service received here. I walked in on a weekday afternoon with no appointment, and was seated immediately. The haircut was standard, and the shave was very attentive and flawless. The barber (didn't catch her name) was very skilled with her razor and scissors. The decor is very comfortable, the banter around the shop, and the vintage furnishings gave the old-time hometown barbershop feel that I have been searching a very long time for. This is well worth the 90 mile drive to get here for me. read more

Just went there this afternoon for a cut and to get my hair colored. Kat was absolutely amazing. I've been to many stylists of the years, and she is one of the best out there. My brother got his hair styled too, and was very impressed by her work. I will definitely be coming back for her to do my hair again. read more

It's a good barber shop with a nice and well trained staff. They charge $18 but it's worth it for a good haircut. Parking is limited, but I just park at the AutoZone located next door for a short 1 minute walk. The banter back and forth between the employees and customers is entertaining too read more

This place is a great old fashioned barber shop. Yes, they do use razors. The staff are always friendly and talkative and there is always some light music playing, whether is be something upbeat or a bit of classical this shop is always revving. That's where the bad comes in, this shop is VERY small and during their busy hours it gets packed and crowded. If you are looking for a bigger and less crowded shop I suggest their Gambrills location. read more

We love this place, my son has autism and he used to HATE getting his hair cut, the first time we brought him here they were so patient and never rushed and took it at a pace my done was comfortable with. Now, every time it's time to get my son A hair cut he gets excited. read more

Caution! Do not take your kids to this barber shop. There are pictures of half naked women all over. I have been here numerous times and I have been sent to the back room of the shop every time. It seems that people with a tan should be sat in the back room, out of view. I was told by the barber that my child's hair should be kept short because its curly. He said that "his hair is curly like black peoples and we should keep it short because black peoples hair can't get cleaned if its a little long because the dirt won't come out." Wtf! Really!? As some others remarked parking is an issue as well as the wait. In addition, it was one of the worst haircuts I have ever received. The guy could not understand what I wanted, even though it was a simple high fade. I had to correct him three times during the cut that it was not what I wanted. Even after the third time it was still messed up with a long strip along the top. Towards the end I was so frustrated I just wanted out of the chair. Will not go back. read more

I used to love to go here. However, it became more of a hassle and really not worth it anymore. What really bothered me is if I made an appointment, it was really never honored. I found I'd be waiting and waiting or hear "I'm really backed up today!" Sometimes it would take over an hour to get a haircut!! Since I only let the owner cut my hair, I didn't really want to see anyone else there to do it. I also thought it became really pricey for a weekly haircut. With tip it was $21!! I like one of the other reviewers said was getting a little tired of how cramped and crowded the place was and also walking though a cloud of smoke and cigarette butts to come in. The neon didn't really bother me I think that adds to the character of the shop. All in all ok place....not great. read more

I want to preface this by stating that the stylist that I have been going to did a remarkable job with my hair before at another salon- I am, however utterly disappointed with my experience at Tony's Barber Shop after doing some self reflectance. To put it clearly and so that I can warn others- stay clear of this place if you are looking for anything more than a fresh cut- you are in for hell for anything past that. I would give them 1.1 stars, .1 simply because they have the cutest dog in the world, but for nothing else. Firstly, the atmosphere of the place is tense. I am not a person who is directly critical of others political ideologies, but there is a lot of signs and messages sprawled in the small shop. It is covered w/ papers and signs talking about second Amendment rights, the Confederacy and immigrants. As I will not discuss their stances on these cases as I would feel that would be immature, I would like to say that if you are a person that does not like direct political talk about pressing issues, do not come here, especially for something like a long color job. The owner likes to be very political with whichever clients comes his way, and this is something that is important and needs to be noted. If anything, I'm happyappy I walked in today as my stylist recently moved to this location, and I wanted to see her to get my hair redone. I told her that I wanted to get it colored as I had done with her before at the other salon she worked with, and had cost me somewhere among the realm of $100. I was not specified how much it would cost, and I assumed that it would be around $40 for color, as their sign clearly specifies. However, it was a long (3 1/2 hour job,) so I assumed it would be more expensive. My stylist recommended that my sides should not be recolored as she trimmed them down to be fairly short, but I assumed this to be a stylistic suggestion. More on that in a bit. I changed my mind at the last second, and told her that I would rather have all my hair colored. She said that would be fine, and we continued the process of bleaching and washing hair, as done before at her other salon. Since I was getting my hair done to be light blonde, I got it toned, but it appeared that they had ran out of toner and just went with it. I believe that it was about 80% developer as my scalp didn't heat up as before when putting the toner in, but I was unsure. When i asked if we were using a different toner, the stylist replied "yes." Something definitely felt off, a bit more on that later as well. After the 3 1/2 hour job, the owners wife (I believe her name is Nam?) told me that the price for the color and bleach was 210 DOLLARS. Out of stupidity and anxiety, I paid the price but then came back and asked why the job had cost 210 dollars. I said "My friends have had Level 1 hair and also hair that was much longer than mine (I have only around 4-5 inches of hair as I am a guy) and they had never paid that type of price." I also explained that none of the prices were ever explained to me, and that the prices on the signs were unspecified and outright wrong. The true kicker was that my stylist only mentioned that it would have cost half of the price if I had not done the sides! (which meant bleaching half an inch of hair on the sides, with a bleach and toner that costs nowhere that price) Even after admitting it was their fault, the owner's wife never bothered to try to make anything right, never offered to fix my hair further (more on that a bit later again) and didn't really seem care that they had outrageous prices, regardless of my complaint supported by legitimate reason. Nam also stated that they use "quality products, nothing cheap" and even said that they included the charge of the product that they used in my hair, which was just a bit of hair gel. They seemed to deny that there were any better or cheaper places than them. This shop believes that charging people for whatever frivolous use of product, rather than the overall job for your hair overall is justifiable. My hair came out disastrous, looking like a $50 job. Due to the fact that they likely wanted the color was haphazardly done. I believe this is partially not the stylists fault, as they seemed to be working with limited materials. However, shame on the owners for not providing their stylists which the proper tools to properly colour ones hair. I do not understand why my stylist didn't bother to explain that she was working with limited materials. The colour of the hair (supposed to be platinum blonde) ended up being bright yellow on the sides, an alright blonde on the top (but somehow not platinum, not the way it was before likely due to less toner + a pink hue) and an orange back. Not much else to say. It sucks that my stylist moved to this place, because it's one of the worst shops I've ever walked into. Unless you really dig your hair getting destroyed and getting financially manipulated in unprecedented ways, stay away. read more

Been here two times and got my haircut by two different barbers which both did a great job. The parking is an issue but that won't deter me from coming back as this place has a lot of character and you can get a good haircut for a fair price. The inside is a little cramped but again I think the quality of the haircut speaks for itself. Both barbers took their time cutting my hair and did a really great job. read more

Been going to Tony's for 10 years. Love Stan and Nam. However last night I worked late and had a job interview in the Morning. I arrived at shop at 7:35pm. Door locked but open until 8. I knocked on the door which was answered at which point Nam said even with 4 barbers open well I can't help you I have stuff to do tonight so I'm closing early. My hair cut takes about 15 mins and clearly they had the staff open. Friends are friends and business is business. Great people but they have lost my business when you run a business and you have loyal high paying customer I tip $10 on a $16. Haircut you don't tell them we I can't help you I'm getting a package tonight. Especially when I called ahead and was told to drive the 18 miles out of my way to use your services. read more

My 7 year old son has special needs and haircuts can be a frightening experience for him. We have been to several places for haircuts, but after coming to Tony's on a recommendation from a friend we will not go anywhere else. Ms. Nam and Stan are two of the most compassionate and caring people I have ever met. My son sometimes screams and wiggles (that is putting it mildly), but they treat him with the same respect as anyone else and try to put me at ease. Ms. Nam always goes the extra mile. The world needs more people like Ms. Nam and Stan, their kindness means the world to me. read more

Good place to go for a good haircut... If you have an hour to chat. Price is a liittle expensive but it's worth the money. Tony cuts my husbands hair and I get my eyebrows done when I go with him. The environment there is cozy and there is plenty of decor on the walls to keep your eyes busy if there is a wait. His hair always looks great when he leaves there! Got a cut here today and was severely disappointed. I had my hair cut by a younger girl that was clearly In a bad mood from her previous customer. I told her that I wanted a medium razor fade, with nothing off the top. Pretty simple. When she "finished" she had not used a razor, and went up way to high on the sides for a medium. And she cut some of the top, after I told her not to touch it. When I explained that she needed to get closer to the skin on the bottom, "razor fade", she got pissy, and then continued to correct me and tell me that I needed to ask for a "low skin fade". I am in the military, and have had my hair cut at barbershops all over the country. I know the difference between a "medium razor fade" and a "low skin fade". The other barbers were very polite and friendly, but I will not be returning. I will be telling my fellow Marines to stay away from this place. read more
