It was quite simply long overdue. Northern Skies Roofing bid the job, along with 2 others, plus 2 that never came out, despite our inquiries. The first impression was the the selling point: punctual, polite, straightforward, answered all of our questions, gave advice, patient & at no point pushed us for a decision... and, impressively, never bad-mouthed any of the other companies we were looking at. We didn't feel like we were dealing with a salesman, which was nice. We had to verify eligibility with the insurance company before proceeding, which took longer than expected. Still, no pressure. Bids were Mon & Tue. We selected them on Thur & work started Fri. There was just a bit left to wrap up the next day. The 5 man crew knocked out the house & garage in -14hrs, with tear off, new shigles, new vent-thingies & acthorough clean-up. That's including coming back the next day with the new vent-thingies. By then, the warm-weather window was gone & they went up in the cold to get that part finished. Pricing was reasonable. At final inspection, we were happy enough that we asked for a siding quote, as well, with no rush. I've attached pictures of the old shingles, work & finished product.
