Before he could get someone to help change out the bed, they found out about it and sent him an illegal eviction notice stating he had to be out in 72 hours. He and his 12 yr old son went to the manager to explain the situation and that he would immediately correct it. They said too bad. They also said they're keeping the whole month's rent and his security deposit of $365.00. On his behalf, I am filing a complaint with the state and also meeting with my attorney tomorrow and possibly filing a lawsuit. Is this the way to treat a handicapped man?? The "American's with Disability Act" was created to keep crooks like the Legendary Oaks Apartments from taking advantage of disabled people like this. Only to find out the hard way.. he has had name changes with his company or started new companies is why they couldn't find anything at that time and the internet not having his whole history....with google now it is hard to hide for long. This man/company has taken many years off my parents lives, cost them entire savings 100K to repair home, I have spent 50K myself... It comes down to not owning up to it and denying there is a problem then, he attempted to put it off on subcontractors and they put a band-aid on it in a poor attempt to repair it, but nobody accepting that there was serious engineering problems, and a band-aid cant fix it. My Parents begged him to repair their home, he did not repair it, it is very hard to hear your elderly parents crying for months/years to be honest with the poor quality building, not backing his warrantee, with their home literally falling apart, poor construction in every aspect of the home, huge engineering issues, substitution of and material quality issues, cutting of corners, quality of construction, lazy workmanship issues, the lying conniving piece of work, his word is no good......if you ask around the building contractor community or ask any skilled carpenter's and tradesman that have work directly for the man or have worked on nearly every home he has built in this area, not one person has anything good to say about his man and or his company, He is a wonderful salesman and fairly personable person, tells you everything you want to hear....everything..,,once he has your $$ the honeymoon goes you know where. If you see this man run..run..run..run...
