I complained to the Indiana Attorney General when Top Dog failed to honor gift cards. These cards had Top Dog logos on them and I had used them prior to the car wash being closed most of the winter. They told the Attorney General that they decide each case at the time. This tells me they have cheated other people. In any case they are still not honoring their gift cards. Here's their reply: To Whom This Concerns, I received a letter from the Indiana State Attorney General's office regarding the above case number. After reviewing the complaint this is what happened. We have situations like this that occur occasionally and after speaking with the customer at that time a decision is made from that discussion. There is no way to remember one customer, what was discussed and what the outcome was. We do not just turn customers away; we have guidelines and adhere to them so that all customers are treated equally. We purchased Top Dog Carwash in January of 2022. We have no way to verify purchases, amounts purchased, services prices have changed. In November 2022 our carwash was struck by lightning and the carwash automatic tunnel has been down (not operating) ever since. My elderly mother took her van here for a complete wash and "INTERIOR ADDON". The job was marginal at best. They failed to wipe the dash and other interior components of the vehicle. My mother is not one to complain but swallowed her pride and went back the next day. They absolutely refused to do anything for her. All she wanted was to get the interior cleaning that she PAID for. Walk, no RUN from this business, they take advantage of the elderly and will certainly do the same to you! UPDATE: The manager made good on the promise to do it right. Went through the car wash and the dryer literally blew off the trim around the front windshield. Employees had us fill out a claim and said someone would be in touch with us. Waited a week and nothing. So my husband went to the car wash and spoke with the assistant manager. Said he couldn't find our claim. Luckily he had taken a picture of the form after he filled it out. Then he said the manager would be in touch. Nothing....we have sent emails ... Nothing. Today one month later my husband finally caught the manager at work. He said our claim had been denied. Very disappointed in their customer service. We noticed after we got home from the car wash that a lot of the chrome on my car's rims had come off. We immediately took the car back and were told they would take the matter under review. The next week we got a letter from them saying it wasn't their fault. We set up a meeting with the manager, reviewed security footage which clearly showed the rims were fine when we arrived to the car wash and noticeably darker when we left. The manager said he would speak to the owner about it and get back to us. We're still waiting. We've called and left messages, another week later, and still nothing. My wing mirror was knocked off during the wash, we thought it's ok, accidents happen, they have insurance, it will get sorted. Boy was I wrong!!! The assistant manager sent me a letter stating that it wasn't the car washes fault even though the person I spoke to when it happened said there shouldn't be a problem with the claim going through, as did an employee when I rang up to enquire about the outcome. Upon my phone call to the manager he underhandedly suggested that I had tampered with the wing mirror which had caused it to come off. I then scheduled a meeting with the assistant manager to review the footage which again backs up my claim, but still my claim was denied even though the cctv clearly shows my wing mirror on as I enter the car wash and then hanging off as I exit. The assistant manager then tried to offer me a few free washes to make it better to which I just laughed at him, surely it was a joke, right? I will not stop until they accept responsibility. I asked for the details to speak to someone more superior than him, he said there isn't anyone in the whole of America that's more superior than him?! read more
