If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely the worst scheduling system and communication ever. They tell you if your kid (15 years old) gets an 86 on the written assessment and passes the driving assessment parents can pay $100 for them to take their driver's test. Well...my kid didn't pass the first driver's assessment and I was told he would get another chance and if he passed it I could pay $100 for them to give him the driver's test instead of going to the DMV. We'll, that was a lie. Also in the portal next to my kids name they add (DO NOT PASS). That's so crappy. So it looks like someone added DO NOT PASS as part of my son's name. I was told this is how the company keeps track of who to pass and who not to. That to me is unprofessional. There are better systems in place for that. I shelled out $645 for the teen driving package. It is not worth it. Find another driving school. Someone that has a good reputation, clear and concise communication, and professional. read more

Impossible to schedule drives, all the times are instantly booked when the schedule opens up. Plus I have been trying to reschedule a class lesson my daughter missed and EVERY time I call it's either busy or they tell me to leave a message and someone will get back to me "shortly" Well I've been leaving messages for two weeks with no call back. They take your money then they don't care. Go elsewhere. read more

AVOID! Terrible. My child is dyslexic and mentioned it on first day of class. She is supposed to get a special exam. She didn't and failed. I called to complain, they never mentioned being able to take it again. Now, 7 months later, I want her to take the drivers exam thru Top Driver, but she's not eligible because she didn't pass the exam, which wasn't even her fault, and I tried to fix it immediately! Canceled a driving lesson in less than 24 hours due to emergency and still get charged $60. $60 for a missed lesson??? Can't get driving lessons scheduled because they are always booked up. Don't bother calling, half the time they don't answer. At the Bartlett locations, parents park illegally during class completely blocking people from exiting their parking spaces. Top Driver instructors need to handle that better. read more

The instructor MOHAMMED SAADIQ is a very rude and creepy man. He insults his students and seems to enjoy angering them. His driving sessions are filled with creepy personal questions, rude and hateful comments, and direct slander towards the driver. Please avoid this instructor AT ALL COSTS, as he is not a man that is safe around minors. He mocked my father over the car he drives, but Mr. Saadiq reports to work on a scooter. Mr. Mohammed Saadiq also name calls his students and coaxes them into answering trick questions which are not at all appropriate for a minor. We used the Schaumburg location but many instructors were from Bartlett. Horrible. One instructor was lovely but aside from that I found out much later they taught my daughter so many wrong things and odd things I had to retract their bad instruction. Some instructors full on yelled at her while driving and then contradicted their own instructions during the lesson. For the amount of money spent it was not at all what I hoped for. Just caused my anxiety and confusion that had to be unlearned. Awful. read more

Two of my daughters graduated from the Top Driver program in Bartlett.  We found the program to be satisfactory in everyway.  The instructors were prompt and friendly.  In our case, the customer service was exceptional.  The specialist on the phone got me exactly what I needed on the first call.  Our representative, Anthony,  stayed in constant contact with us notifying us of openings until my daughter had enough credits to apply for her drivers license.  Additionally, I never had a problem with any of the Top Driver websites.  They are all pretty easy to use for scheduling, etc.. Too expensive; they charge for EVERY. LITTLE. THING. Good luck trying to make appointments as you talk to a call center several states away. They don't know our area, and it shows. The class materials are seriously lacking and look child-like; there may be only 2 or 3 questions on a worksheet. The instructor explains that classtime involves a lot of "discussion." Unfortunately, it also involves a lot of breaktime. I watched kids goof around outside for 20 minutes before getting back to work; a class is only 2 hours long. Awful!!! read more

My son lost his permit. We asked (IF) we should cancel his up coming behind the wheel sessions. They went ahead and cancelled all of them without notifying us. They are not easy to schedule. Make sure to read the entire packet before starting. It states the state mandates 9 month to complete, if so how can they extend your time after they mess up???????? read more

This place is so ridiculous- they let the "top driver" parents that come to pick up the idiot kids who want to be a "top driver" park directly in front of the facility to pick up the idiot kids. This place is in a small strip mall with parking one row over- the idiot parents think it is their right to park right in front of the facility instead of parking in the second row thereby blocking people like me from getting out of my parking space when I have parked LEGALLY!!! This has happened to me many times and "TOP DRIVER" needs to ADDRESS THIS ISSUE!!! Pathetic "TOP DRIVER" maybe the IDIOTS that pick up the idiots that think they will someday be a ""TOP DRIVER " should figure out how to park LEGALLY!!! I would discourage any parent from enrolling your son or daughter with Top Driver. You pay for driving time with instructors only to find out they are grossly understaffed with extremely limited time slots. There is no consistency as to when they open up their online schedule for you to book driving lessons. When I questioned one-off the Instructors about the lack of available slots, he admitted they were having problems as they were understaffed. I tried booking lessons at other locations, up to 40 miles away...same issue. read more

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The customer service is terrible. I learned that loooong before the classes even started. I went online to check out Top Driver because my daughter missed her opportunity to take drivers ed at school. I was happy to learn they had a location nearby. The prices looked good to me, but I was not ready to pay the $450 in full that day. I started the checkout process to see what the payment options were, and when I got to the screen where I had to enter my credit card info, I click on the terms and conditions to see if I could figure out what was going to be charged. They terms said that a minimum deposit of $100 was required to enroll, and that the balance would need to be paid prior to the first class starting. Since the first class wasn't starting until August (over a month away), I was ok with paying the $100, because I had plenty of time to come up with the balance. I wanted to get her enrolled as early as possible, so that she could go to the secretary of state to get her permit. So I went ahead and clicked submit. Thinking either they would charge $100, or that the website wasn't going to charge, but just collect my card info, and be charged later after a confirmation phone call. Nope. They charged the full $450. I called immediately to try to clear it up, but they were closed. So I called back the next morning, and got a young girl who I believe was from a corporate office. I explained the situation to her, and she put me on hold. After a few minutes on hold, she came back and said "I'm sorry sir, but the website states that you were paying the full $450, and so by clicking submit you agreed to that". I told her "No. The website wasn't clear, that I was going to pay $450. In fact the terms and conditions say that a $100 deposit is required." She said "Well I'm sorry sir, there's nothing I can do about it." I told her that if they could just refund the $350, they would get it back from me within a few weeks. I wasn't trying to cancel. I just wasn't ready to pay the full amount." So she put me on hold again and came back and said "I can try to put in a request for a refund, but I can't guarantee that one will be issued. It will take 10-14 days to find out." So I'm supposed to wait 2 weeks to find out if I might get back the money that I didn't have to spend? I was going to pay you that money in 2 weeks anyway. Once again, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the service. I explained that I had screen shots of the payment terms and that I was going to dispute the charges with my bank. She didn't seem to care. I said "So you would rather have me cancel my enrollment, dispute the charges, and look elsewhere for driving school services than just temporarily give me back the money that you sneakishly took from me in the first place?" So now you have an unhappy customer who's going to write negative reviews about your service and encourage everybody to stay away. Good customer service would have been realizing that maybe your website was a little unclear, and refunding me the money. You were going to get the money anyway, just at a later date. Unfortunately, I came to yelp a little to late to read the negative reviews that you already have. Seems like deception is kind of your thing. Wish I would have known that before I gave you my credit card info. read more

Top Driver was great to work with it. Every time I called they were every helpful and accommodating. They send out a lot of reminders so nothing gets over look and everything gets completed in a timely manner. Being busy, I appreciate that.
