Am I right? For us guys it's not the end of the world but it is a little annoying...HOWEVER, this was NOT my experience with Neil at his little hole-in-the-wall shop (no seriously, it's literally a hole, in the wall) right next to Doherty's 24hr gym on Flinders St. I asked for and received the exact haircut I was looking for with the added bonus of some pleasant conversation, some sweet house/techno tunes and all for $25. Not bloody bad at all. If you're like me and you support the small business owner before the big business money machine then go on down and let Neill give you that funky cut you've been craving. This place will probably not attract the suit and tie brigade but for me that's a plus.

Each and every time I went back she put the price up and became a bit nastier. My LAST visit, she was just rude and literally painful. She is a greedy lady. She has an eftpos machine but insisted on cash. Not hard to work out why Mr Tax man. She expects to cut my hair each time and gets really upset if I only want colour and wash and becomes really grumpy. She did her best to make me feel poor and inadequate. I'm still recovering from the trauma. If you have plenty of money and are happy to spend lots here, more and more each time, I'm sure she will treat you really well. Thankfully Hoopla take client relations to whole new level! My appointment started out with Brianna discussing what I did and didn't like about my hair and issues I'd previously had with my hair. We flicked through Pinterest to confirm that why I wanted was what I was actually describing. Always an added bonus! After the initial consult the staff will slip you a sneaky quote for the services.There's no hidden charges and it's all laid out in the table for you. A pleasant surprise rather than the usual heart when it comes time to pay. The whole time your in the chair there's a constant supply of quality coffee. There's no Nescafé blend 23 happening here! The team here are extremely supportive of one another. With two apprentices on site the senior stylists are constantly pulling the younger tram members around to lend a hand and learn new techniques and skills.
