This 'flagship store' sells mainly their sneakers I think, my main aim was admittedly the special edition Moomin sneakers and I didn't browse around much. Turned out that those sneakers are sold at about 40% reduced price in the Swedish webshop, so no buy for me in store. But if I was an overall sneakers person (which I most certainly am not) I would definitely enjoy this classic, hipsterish style of them. Lovely colours and pretty insoles too. Unfortunately the time I was in Finland was over the Easter holiday, and most places were closed on Friday, Sunday and Monday. Luckily, Della Marga was open on Easter Monday, even though online it stated it was closed. I was able to come here just before they closed and get myself a couple of purses. For International Travel, they are a Global Blue Store, which means you get a percentage or amount off on the items you purchase if they qualify. At the time I went it was 15% off any purchase between $1000-$5000. Over $5000 you get 17% off, the price, since tax is already calculated into the ticket price. You will get your savings from the Airport when you leave. I had Milla? as my sales associate, and she was extremely helpful and friendly when I walked into the store. She explained all the savings that I would get and provided my boyfriend with some of the reading material regarding that. She brought out all the bags for me to see and select from. She showed me EVERYTHING Chanel that they had so that I could make a good selection and find the right fit. She wasn't pushy or rushing me even though it was getting close to closing time for them. She was extremely attentive and was listening to what I was looking for. The store has free wifi, so that you can take pictures and send to those people that you may need to that aren't there with you. I had cell service in Finland, so I didn't need it, but I definitely took time to show pictures to my mom and see if she wanted anything and her suggestions for my purchases. I've been to some Chanel Boutiques who won't even allow you to take photos, which I find extremely frustrating, and plenty of others like this one where they encourage and allow it. I really enjoyed the hassle free shopping. If I ever find myself in Finland again, this is definitely one of my first stops off the plane. Before we got there, I went to the website and read/watched the whole "about us" section. It had all these great creative videos and descriptions of how they design, print and construct their creations. I think in such a mass-produced era of factory goods it's easy to take for granted the craftsmanship behind the scenes. Without any knowledge of the brand I could've easily just walked in and out like "ehhh... another bold print. Don't they have fabric like this at IKEA?" But, by just going to their wonderfully designed website before coming to the actual store it made me really appreciate what I was seeing in person. Plus, I'm pretty sure that a lot of those IKEA fabric prints are a "inspired" (slightly copied) version of the original artistry you see here. Before you head to the store, I really suggest that you check the site to see a little more about what actually goes on behind those iconically Finnish bold patterns! We kayaked for approx 3 hours including stopover on one of the island in the nature reserve. Overall a great experience to kajak near Helsinki.
