I almost feel like we are at a spa or retreat while we do our laundry. The vibe was so chill. Had a nice Jazz Bar meets Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru's house on Tatooine. The payment technology was simple and upgrades were included. Charged my phone and enjoyed free Wi-Fi. Near our hotel the cost would have been about $105 compared to like $32 plus a subway fare, so much better. With a great coffee from across the street and friendly staff we couldn't ask for anything more. We'll be coming back in a few days before we leave Sydney.

It was done same-day, and I chose to have it delivered to the hotel for a nominal fee instead of walking back to fetch it. When the clean laundry didn't get delivered to my door by 5 as expected, I went down to the front desk to inquire and they said it hadn't been delivered, so I called Wash on the Rocks. They answered, called the driver, confirmed it had indeed been delivered (at 4:30!), then had the hotel bellman call me to confirm as well. I ran down to get that laundry so fast! I just really appreciated both the convenience and the immediate problem solving; it was the hotel's error, not theirs, but they really worked to get me those clean clothes. Highly recommend.

I asked if I could do my own. I put it all in one washer and the woman put the detergent in. I went to the Smoking Gun coffee shop while it washed. Came back put it in the dryer and took a walk. Cost me 5 to wash and 5 to dry. You just pay her at the end, only cash. Walked back to the hotel through the botanical garden.

Located on the corner of Commonwealth & Reservoir St (diagonally opposite the Royal Albert), HDC do dry cleaning & pressing and best of all, cheap cheap bag washes. I haven't had any dry cleaning or pressing done there, but every week I drop off my laundry, and come back the next day to a bag of washed, dried & folded good times. $10 for a full bag wash (and that's with quite a lot of clothes). The place is run by a really lovely couple who are great with faces, after only around 3 visits I stopped needing to do any paperwork / receipts stuff. I simply dump my bag, and the next day as soon as I walk in the guy grabs my bag, takes my $10 and off I go. You can pay either when you drop off your clothes, or when you pick them up - it's your choice. They also take eftpos, but there's a $1 surcharge.

They are always true and with integrity to their word as to when your dry cleaning will be available for pick up, and their quotes and quite great; especially with a 10% discount offered for up front payment. Great for repairs as well; and for sewing up loose hems on dresses. Love it. The chain feeling just isn't there as this establishment does go above and beyond for their customers; which is why I still chose to Yelp about it in a positive manner. You will know more for yourself once you have given this establishment a fair go for sure. Yes it does get busy, yet they are so professional and my clothes just feel so smooth and great after picking them up from the dry cleaners on this occasion.

One time after a particularly huge day / night out, I brought in my favorite white skirt with grass stains all over the back and technicolor cocktail spillage on the front. I gave it to the owner sheepishly with down-cast eyes and a "please, please it's my favorite!"
