I stopped in for some Angry Orchard bottles. The store is large, an employee asked if he could help me as I use a cane. I told him what I was looking for, he walked straight to the cooler where it was found. I told him my choice of flavor, he took it out of the cooler and carried it up to the front check out line was long, he said follow him, he opened another register and checked me out. He even offered to carry it to my car, I was parked close by so I told him I could do it. I did not get his name but he did have an accent, perhaps German. An excellent employee. Your store should be proud of his customer service skills. I will definitely shop here again. read more

I popped in Wednesday to redeem a birthday voucher for a free bottle of prosecco. I located the aisle and scanned the shelf prices then made my way to the fella behind the counter... voila! He showed me an even smaller bottle, wonderful! I came in ready w the QR code on my phone but he did me one better and was able to just scan my license for redemption. Easy Peasy. It's always nice to have a well stocked liquor store in your neighborhood. This location has a decent selection of most things, and most of all it's clean and well organized. Staff have always been helpful when I've had questions on pairings or I'm trying to find something. I have not been to other Top Ten locations, so I am not sure how this location adds up to others. read more

Great store- excellent selection of pretty much anything u could want to have for liquor. The prices are great. If you are a wine lover they have a great selection. I went to get a bottle of Whiskey for a special occasion. They had quit the selection of hard to find stuff by smaller distilleries. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and kind. They also have a reward program there as well. The store is clean. Based on the low prices, the staff, the knowledge of the staff I would give this store a 5 out of 5. More expensive than many liquor stores in the area but the selection is phenom. Has some hard to find beers and wines. Really has a great selection on craft beers in the larger 16oz bottles. And they always seem to have some sort of sampling or tasting going on. Beer and wine. The liquor offerings are pretty rad. if you drink or need a more obscure anything, like a flavored or rare brandy or something, they are going to be the best liquor store in the Anoka, Coon Rapids, Blaine area to go to first. Have shopped at a few local liquor stores and stumbled into this one while one a Target run. Clean, well organized, and plenty of selection. The staff present themselves professionally, and will go the extra mile to help. This is really why I have started going here exclusively: I have for some time been trying to find a liquor store that can source sparkling red wine - not Rose - but sparkling merlot/shiraz/cabernet. The typical answer when I ask is well tell us the name of the wine and we'll see what we can do. At Northgate the staff I spoke to not only knew what I was talking about, they had had some on the shelf in the past, and gave me a sense of hope that they could at least get some in again for me. I left my name and email, and after a few weeks they contacted us to say they had managed to get three bottles in and were holding it for me. This is the liquor store I frequent most often. If you are tired of dumpy liquor stores & crummy service I suggest trying Northgate. I am usually greeted when I enter the store and asked if I need any help with picking something out. The staff is friendly & there is usually plenty of people working. I hardly ever have to wait in line. A lot of the time I am offered free samples, things are kept stocked up and the store is kept clean. If you value great service like myself, I would make Northgate your regular liquor store where you can expect very consistent service. read more

I went in to this store after running errands . I had heard they have a huge selection of foreign beers and I was looking for a particular one. I browsed for a while and was asked if I needed help. I had a picture of what I was looking for. They carry it! Took a while to locate the ONE case left , but it was! I'm very happy they carry it and it's one of their good sellers they always have! Stopped in there a few days ago and was disappointed with the prices on the wine. Overpriced. Managed to find a few bottles that to me looked like they were tagged on sale. Ended up paying $40 for three bottles of wine. Checked receipt to find that they were not charged at sale price so I went to let the clerk know. I was then told it was a "rewards member" price. Now when I checked out the young man who rang my purchase up asked if I was a rewards member, which I am not, but never even offered the reward member program to me or even took the time to explain what it was. I could have gone up the road by my house and purchased the same wines at a better price. Too bad I won't be going back there anymore. Would have been convenient too, since I frequent Andover Target. read more

Twice I have had horrible service. They argued the price on a case of beer, telling me I didn't know what the sign saudsaid, even though it was a banner all the way across the back of the store. I had to purchase beverages for my Family for Christmas Eve. The chick working had really short dark hair and was wearing a tie and pretty much interrogated me like a police officer would do to someone. I have a head cold and she refused to take my cash because my eyes were red....and my fiance had to pay for it WITH MY MONEY. How embarrassing. I managed a LQ store for 4 years and I refused 1 sale because the lady was pregnant. I could understand if I was hobbling around and had slurred speech, etc. I know in the business you have the right to refuse a sale...but REALLY?! Ridiculous - I have been rejected a sale and I am 32 years old. This establishment is never going to get another purchase from me. I really think the chick just didn't like me. Pretty simple when you walk into a LQ store - you grab your items and walk out. I was not even driving my fiance was and I definitely was not drunk lol. So dumb.
