Got a polish change it it was not bad. The lady was very tempted to cut my non-existent cuticles and it was a challenge to ask her to stop, but that's kind of going out of your way, so all good. The reason I took one star off - there is no main person who cares about your satisfaction. That's why you wait for a while when you come, and once you go to dry. I have been coming to top ten nails since I moved to the area. The women here are very sweet. I always call ahead. Even if it's only 15 minutes before I arrive and I've never had to wait. If calling in a day before I always ask for Helen. She is the best. She alway remembers the colours I like for my shellac manicure and pedicure and does a fantastic job. I brought my bridal party here to get our nails done for the wedding and my sister in law continues to visit here a year later. This is the first nail place I've been to where they cover your toes with oil and little plastic bags if you're wearing closed toe shoes. If I could leave a zero I would. I went in to get a manicure and I was convinced to go with shellac. I told the employee that I was trying to grow my nails. She filed my nails right down so that no white part showed. She cut my cuticles until they bled TWICE, the shellac is lumpy and the colour is uneven. There is shellac all over my finger tips and she tried to remove it by cutting it from my skin!!!! I complained that the nails did not look very nice and she said it was because of the coloring I chose and my nails were short to begin with. then she started raising her voice at me saying " so what do you want me to do?! " just wow. Honestly, there are so many other places to choose from. Please don't go here. I wish I could post the picture of my nails. They look awful. In addition to that. Don't bother calling ahead and making an appointment as they will still keep you waiting with no apology, no remorse. I booked a 2 pm appointment for a mani and pedi for myself and my daughter. We arrived 10 mins before our appointment and no one told us if there would be any delay (which would have given me a choice to stay or leave). Instead we were kept waiting and when at 2.30 pm I asked when someone would be free to take us, we were told it would be soon. That meant another 20 minute wait and no one actually came to us until 2.45. No apology was offered. No one even expressed any regret for keeping us waiting for 45 mins. Terrible customer service. Typical Vietnamese nail place. To be honest I had high expectations after seeing the great reviews but this place is nothing special. We made appointments for two pedicures. Mine with shellac and plain (obvs) for my boyfriend. The place is small inside with only a couple of stations. Didn't look as clean as I had read in reviews. My overall pedicure was rushed, taking only 30 minutes with shellac polish soak off and change. She seemed to be in a hurry which was made evident when her regular walked in and was waiting on her. She spoke almost nothing to me besides telling me to switch feet and was very rough with my skin. She did however talk in Vietnamese through my pedicure. It was my boyfriends first pedicure so he didn't know what to expect. I'm surprised I even got a rushed massage at all. Needless to say I will not be back. read more

Great attention to detail and man do they get my eyebrows right! The ladies are all very sweet too. Place could be a bit cleaner and could use some updating. Love that its a small place because that means you get much more attention. I'll keep going back! read more

I've been coming to Top Ten Nails for nearly 10 years and I've always been a huge fan. I think they do a wonderful job with nails - from mani + pedi, to shellac, to bio gel, I've had it all. I do not recommend this salon to anyone who wants a QUALITY salon experience. If you want to waste 2 hrs of your time for a basic mani/pedi only to end up with a rushed paint job that chips the very next day, then Top Ten in Etobicoke is your place. I strongly suggest that you don't waste your time or money here and go elsewhere. This salon is very disorganized, turning away clients that had made appointments, no time to take walk ins, huge wait time if they actually do manage to see you. Perhaps I just caught them on a chaotic Sunday @ 11am when they first open, regardless, I won't return. With the abundance of nail salons in the GTA, there is no point in going to a place that is going to rush through their work simply because they don't know how to schedule and organize their staff efficiently.
