Horrid experience. Got tons of attitude for sorting out the sub-par lumber (splits, warped, moldy…read moreetc.) and then was told "it wasn't worth it" to open the second pack of lumber because the ones I sorted out were "good enough." Wasn't worth a 6k order and years of my future business? I canceled the order at that point and then got a quote from a different supplier for 1.1k cheaper! What a twist. I also received Hardie from this branch that had tons of defects. One pack of pre painted Hardie lap siding arrived wet with out a cover after days of rain. If you read Hardie's instructions it explicitly states to NOT ACCEPT if the product arrives wet because it can mold and damage the product. They simply said it was fine because its siding and siding gets wet. If it were vinyl... sure. When you're spending thousands on supplies and want to protect your investment, that's not the kind of negligent attitude you want to be met with. I eventually got an exchange, but had a terrible time. 0/10 Would not recommend.

I tried 84 twice now. This latest time I called ahead to check for a router bit that the guy said…read morethey had. I found out when I got there they don't stock router bits, only typical metal drill bits. The first time I was there looking for plywood and found the other home improvement store up the street to have better selection, better quality (still junk but better junk like sanded both sides), and better pricing. I was told 84 caters to contractors with big orders and apparently that seems true. For a guy like me looking for 3 sheets of ply and a single router bit I'm forced to go to the other guys. It's also worth noting the place didn't seem heated at all. It had to be around 40 inside. I felt like any colder and I'd be seeing my breath.

We were going to use a big company lowes home depot etc but though we want to use a local company not a big chain. MISTAKE!!!!! Everything was going fine we ordered everything paid over 12 grand and were excited to have a new kitchen. After the check was cashed it was impossible to get the owner who we were dealing with (John) on the phone. The work started and the first day came and went no problem. Oh they pick the contractor if you don't know one and we went with there guys. The only new thing in the kitchen was the facet and we told both John and the workers to save it Befor work had started. I was at home the second day and one of the guys came up to me and asked where's the facet. I said you were to save it. They said they threw it out so went and spent another 75 dollars for another new one. They said they had to get some flex tub, washers and PVC pipe prob about 10 dollars worth. The job was complete and I some what happy there was some damage to a couple cabinets and two counter tops. Once again tried to get John on the phone with no success. About a month later I get a mean letter saying I owe the $23.10 that's right 23 stinking bucks after spending over 12 grand for there workers mistake. I paid and thought it was over. Two months later we bought a new washer and when my plumber was installing it I inquired to low water pressure in the kitchen. The open the cabinet under the sink and turned to me and asked " who did this work it's all wrong. " The one workers son who did the work was not a lic plumber and the house would not pass inspection if we tried to sale. Wrong size traps , broke my 2 new facet and a lot more that would take too long go list. I called the county and had told who did the work that they were going to pay for it I would sue. He did and admitted his son was NOT a plumber. When I voiced my displeasure to John he said it was not his problem. Remember these Are there people not mine. When I said that I was not happy and could have saved money using lowes home depot he said we should have used them. WOW ! Got everything taken care of with a lot of phone calls and a couple threats from a friend who is a lawyer. It's was a big pain in the you know what and would not ever use them again even. There is a lot more that happen but I do have a life I need to get back to. Wish I could give them a negative 5 stars but I can't. U HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

I would highly recommend you spend the extra amount and go with another vendor such as 84 Lumber…read more We were between the Columbus Brothers and 84, but Columbus was cheaper, especially in the contracted labor department. A year later, we find that although we paid for real wood, we were cheated out and we see our cabinets and internals slowly falling apart due to cheap materials in certain spots. We thought we were comparing apples to apples but truly the product we received was incorrect and inferior. We reached out twice to the Columbus Brothers and received no response. It may seem attractive to go with them at first, but really I think it would be best to avoid choosing this business if you want long term results and quality service.

Really good first experience here. I came here because I had two blank valet keys for my car I…read moreordered online. My car has keyless start and entry fob with a valet key in the back to get in if the battery dies or something. Anyways, Walmart, Lowes, and Home Depot wouldn't cut them. They would only cut keys that were purchased from them. Anyways, I tried this place and lucked out. They have a much better key cutting operation than any place I've ever seen. So many options were available, but they were more than willing to accommodate me. The older gentleman took my two blanks and my original without hesitation and began to cut them before my eyes. He was done in a jiffy and the price was about as good as it gets. I will make it a point to come here in the future or recommend to anyone else to go here for key cutting services. Besides that, the staff was very friendly and quick to help. The store seems to have a larger selection of items for a smaller place. It's always nice to support local business.

The owner Erin ordered the incorrect style of siding which we didn't realize until my construction…read morecrew showed up to start the job. I called them and they couldn't get the correct siding for 2 weeks so I was forced to change colors in order to get another color rushed in in 2 days. Erin tried to blame me for her incompetence. On top of this i had to pay another$720 for the correct style that had originally told her I wanted. Then 2 days later when they went to deliver the siding to me they weren't going to leave it because now I had a dumpster in my driveway which prevented them from backing up to my garage to pick up the incorrect siding order. I'm 57 year old widow with asthma and it was 95 degrees out. I had to start hauling the incorrect siding boxes out of my garage and dragging them up the lawn closer to the driver truck and threatening lawsuit in order TY get the driver to agree to leave my siding. He said he would get into trouble with Erin but didn't want to see my get hurt. I still had to help him unload 24 boxes of siding and start loading the incorrect siding from the garage onto his truck until Blake from the office showed up. Erin made me feel like I was being held hostage from getting my job done all because of the error she made! I will never recommend this place to anyone.
