In December of 2015 we hired Mark Grosz (Concrete Pros, owner) install concrete steps, sidewalk,…read morepatio, and driveway section which included all labor, materials and sealer application. As per our written agreement, he was paid according to his invoice 189, dated 12/9/15, by check the sum of $10,218.50. In January,2016, we noticed that the driveway, step and patio had all turned white and the steps had running marks all over them. On January 31, 2016, my husband texted Mark including pictures of the discoloration of the driveway and steps asking you why it they have turned white. He replied on January 31, 2016 that he would come look at it when the weather breaks and that you would get it looking good. Mark did come out finally on June 12, 2016. He told us that he would replace the cracked step and patio slab and would also remove the sealer which he believed caused the white discoloration within two weeks. My husband started texting Mark reminded him that it has already been 3 weeks and we have not heard when he was coming to repair the issues. Mark responded saying that he needed to order a product to remove the sealer. From July 4-July 18 my husband texted Mark and received responses from him. The last response from Mark was July 18 which Mark said in a text "sorry it's dragging on, but his wife is having issues and he will get to our house and he apologized for not keeping us updated. From July 30-September 4 my husband has been texting Mark and has not gotten a response. We have sent the contractor a certified letter giving him 10 days to respond to us (Sept 17, 2016), giving us a date when the repairs will occur. To date he has not signed for the letter nor picked it up from the post office. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and have received their response that they have not heard form the contractor and are closing the case. I have an estimate from another contractor to do the repair at a cost of $5,996.00. We have all of the texts that Mark sent to us stating that he would do the repair work needed. We are in the process of filing a small claims suit in court.
