Been going here for a few years after shopping in Aldi. It's handy, being right at the entrance of the upstairs carpark at Brandon Park.
They do pretty good bread. The high fibre 'tiger' loaves are one of my favourites. Beautiful crust that isn't so crunchy as to require dental treatment and a lengthy hospital stay after the first bite. Not saying I don't like a crust, on the contrary I do. But for sliced bread, less can be more. The inside of the loaf itself is light, with good crumb. Any leftovers usually have the crust removed and then get turned into bread and butter pudding.
The sweeter side of the bakery is alright. Normal bakery fare of custard tarts, vanilla slices, tarts of a few varieties. They're all okay. I haven't had a bad experience here. Yet. If you want to order something, good luck finding their phone number. I've just spent over ten minutes looking for it. Not a good sign for a business, but I'll keep buying there. read more
