If it weren't for the gluten-free, this would probably be a pretty standard bakery. However, BECAUSE of the gluten-free, the Swiss Bakehouse deserves many repeat visits.
What is so marvelous about the gluten-free selection is that it is so casually placed on the shelf. As if you could so easily just slip in there and buy gluten-free by mistake. Of course, proper anti-contamination measures have been taken but that's how it Looks.
On top of looking like any old gluten-filled pile of baked goods, the products at the Swiss Bakehouse taste like any old pile of gluten. Which is to say, like, totally rad dude. Pizza rolls! Real "I just sprinkled some bacon and cheese on this roll for you" pizza rolls! If only they weren't so salty, I'd probably be poor, overweight, and very sick of them by now. read more
