Every time I visit, the staff at the tills seem rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. With the cost of groceries being so high, customers who are spending a lot of money deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect. On my most recent visit, I had a handheld shopping basket in my trolley and accidentally brought it past the till while unloading my shopping. It beeped, and before I even had a chance to move it back, I was shouted at by the staff member on the till and spoken to as though I were a child. It was unnecessary and quite embarrassing. This isn't an isolated incident - it seems to happen every time I shop here. Tesco has a lot going for it, but the attitude and manner of some staff members really detract from the experience. I think staff would benefit from additional customer service training, particularly in how to speak to and treat paying customers with respect and professionalism. A friendly, helpful approach would make a huge difference.

There are constantly long queues at the checkout. Usually only one register is open with a huge line of people waiting. Sometimes there are two, but only when it's extremely busy. The staff often seem gloomy and unwelcoming, and the whole place looks messy and unpleasant. In general, Lidl seems to be getting worse and worse. Other supermarkets now have self-checkouts that also allow you to pay with cash, which makes life much easier. Here, you often can't do that, which is frustrating--especially when you want to send your child to buy something and give them cash. Honestly, I can't stand this store anymore--neither this one in Bray nor any other Lidl. The only reason I still end up here sometimes is because Aldi doesn't have the same bakery selection. If they did, my foot would never step inside any Lidl again.
