Before the awards, we were able to venture around the library that has its own museum, connected cafe with limited hours, conference rooms, a bookstore, a study area where you can rent laptop and a vending machine area. Their bookstore had great surprise book packs and dvd packs. The detail in what was included as well as the wrapping made it enticing and so reasonably priced. The activities they had during the event were so fun. Button making, art contests, balloon animals, and bracelet marking. I really enjoyed this library and all it had to offer.

If a student voices a concern to administration that is someone that will actually listen and try to help their hands are slapped for helping and they are either told to "stay in their lane" or they somehow no longer work there. No wonder it takes 6 years for half of their students to graduate with a bachelor's and almost half drop out after 4 years without a degree. They are getting Federal $'s for most all of these students #moneyhustle. It's hard to rate state capitol buildings as they all have something unique about each one of them…read more Like in Kansas, they have the dome which you can go to the top and go outside it! But I would advise that you do so if you are not afraid of heights. I've been skydiving before so I didn't think it was a big deal. But going up and down the steps was very intimidating. There's so much history in that part of the building as kids would write graffiti all over the inside of the top part by the dome. Kansas does have some cool history as it pays tribute to its culture, the Native Americans, its most famous residents, agriculture, and much more. A lot of it may surprise the visitor, or even a Kansas resident! Parking is underground, and it doesn't cost extra. They do have a cafeteria or restaurant in there.

You enter on the lower level from the front of the building, and there is a looping video, gift shop, and mini museum on that floor. Then you can go up and tour the bulk of the building. The state library has cool, glass floors that you can see through, and there is a tour that takes you all the way to the top of the dome (if you dare). Worth a visit!
