Glenn Weaver is a great manager, and Monique Jelley is a very proactive maintenance manager. I could give many examples, but, here is one: After close of escrow-- Oscar and Timothy had no responsibility at all to help me-- the seller removed a couple light fixtures out of the kitchen and basically said "Good Luck", bye! (They meant well; long story). Oscar took my call even as prepared to go onstage at a conference, and figured it all out for me and I had brand new light fixtures within an hour delivered by Timothy. Oscar and Timothy really are the Dream Team.. My wife was lucky enough to find them after doing a bit of research when we started looking to buy a restaurant early this year. They put so much time and efforts into helping us find the right place but even more than that,, they have great instinct and seem to know what is going to be the best situation for you even before you do.. Frustrated to be honest. In the first 3 years ive had over 14 service requests. After 3 years…read moremicrowave and dishwasher stopped working. Stove knobs and stove top indicators have worn off. Cheap appliances. Nails protruding for the ceilings on the entire west side of the house. Replaced 8 led ceiling lights that i was told would be good for decades. Island countertop splitting along the seam. Vinyl flooring not level and popping at seams throughout the house. All cabinets throughout the house has paint wearing off. Cracked tile in the masterbath, cracked tiles in the utility room. Highland never gave leftover replacement tiles. Also never gave leftover paint for cabinet touch ups​. Have been struggling with my yard for entire time since moved in and today i tore up my yard and filled an entire wheelbarrow with left over bricks that they were too lazy to clean up. So if this was just in a small area i can only Imagine what the entire yard is. So now i question alot of things in regard to this house. Things that cant always been seen. Forgot to mention the wood and bricks inside the sewer line from the house to the street. Horrible just terrible how the building managers and workers are on these houses. I WILL NEVER BUY A HIGHLAND HOME AGAIN!

By far the worst experience I have ever had! We inquired via our own agent, through Sunset Group…read moreabout a rental in Houston. After several emails back and forth, the agent insisted there was "No Negotiations" on any of the terms (most specifically, rental cost). So we decided to leave the house out of our options. After 4 days of no communications, we then discovered via Har & Zillow, that the agent reduced the cost of the rent (after explicitly making it clear they would not lower it). I am assuming cause it had already been more than 60 days on the market. We then reached out again, (5 days after the end of our original inquiry). The Sunset Group Agent, did not even recognize who we were and asked again for all our documentation. This agency demands more information for a rental than what you need to buy a house. (4 years of tax returns, 10 months of bank statements, 6 months of paystubs). We showed proof to the agency with just 3 months of paystubs, that we would be able to cover the rent by 5 times just from one salary. This has got to be the worst representation of the for any client I have every experienced. Very unfortunate, because the house is still sitting empty and we would have been moving in next week! I really feel sorry for the owners.

Even my bank was baffled by this procedure * The option and earnest money were were not initially included in my final bill, meaning that I would have lost thousands due to poor accounting if I had not verified the numbers myself * Provided inconsistent and conflicting information about financial policies to my agent and myself * All calls seeking clarification were met with annoyance and several times I was hung up on before the conversation ended I would not recommend this company to anyone.
