After paying $300 for a check-up, this clinic recommended that all this dog's teeth be removed. This is a major surgery for a very senior dog probably in the last stages of her natural life, and I declined as I considered it as inflicting unnecessary suffering on my beloved old girl. I requested antibiotics and a pain killer for her. After a mere few days, she seemed her old self again. She thrived and certainly wasn't in pain. Then her prescription ran out. Back to the vet, another $300 spent, and good for another month. The vet refuses to offer refills on the prescription as they simply want to continue to rip us off- no concern whatsoever for this pets suffering. The attitude is 'you shouldn't have a pet' if you can't pay, which is extortion. They would willingly subject a senior dog to unnecessary surgery to get their $2 grand, all the while knowing it will probably kill her, or cause her last year to be one of extreme discomfort. This vet has not the slightest inkling of empathy or compassion for the pet and certainly none for a pet owner. Treat your clients fairly and they may come back. Learn good business practice. PS, Paradise Animal Hospital has poorly trained staff and vets as well, performed a botched kidney stone surgery on my Shih Tzu causing circulation problem and 3 additional surgeries. (His Penis had to be amputated) I took him to Bay Roberts Animal hospital where they saved his life. These scum charged us 4 thousand to nearly kill our beautiful dog. I forgive accidents, but I do not forgive overcharging and incompetence. Take your critter to Bay Roberts for the best possible care in Newfoundland that I know of...just my and my wife's opinion ...I know of no other place that is trustworthy. Pan can't wait to get in and see them, and his other canine friends, when we drop him off. They expect you to take your dog in for a trial visit for a few hours before the first time you board him/her, in order to ensure your dog won't be too anxious when you leave him/her there. There are numerous upgrades that you can get for your pet while they're being boarded, including extra walks, treats and kuranda beds. Markwin also offers obedience training (indoor during the winter and outdoor in the summer) which the owner, Mark, leads. The classes are very small (seems to be a max of 8 dogs), so you get a lot of individual attention. The training is praise-based, as opposed to treat-based, which is vital for a dog like a Lab, which are prone to weight problems. Mark's training has worked wonders for Pan, and has taught us, as owners, a lot as well.

terrible place to work. i left another job to come work here and after my fifth day here they…read morecalled me that evening after my shift and fired me because the manager "simply didn't like me" and that was the only reason i was given after asking several times. they knew i left another job to come work here, they knowingly put me out of work because the manager "simply didn't like me". during my time there i felt harassed pretty badly by the manager at every shift, but i kept quiet in hopes it would get better. i had an absolutely horrible experience while working there. over the phone as i was being fired i said "there is no way this is right, it can't be right to fire someone because the manager simply didn't like me" they responded with "while technically your on probation for 90 days so we can do whatever we want, and it wasn't just the manager, no body here liked you at all, and everyone had a problem with you being here". needless to say, i definitely felt extremely hurt being bluntly told no body liked me, and felt pretty hurt knowing i was working with this group of people and having conversations with these people for 6 days just to find out they all didn't like me. it was an extremely unprofessional way to fire someone to say the least. i will also add i am a very quiet and shy person, and struggle very badly with anxiety and i also struggle pretty badly with social anxiety, so this whole experience took a huge toll on me. i wouldn't ever recommend working here.

Slept with us in the bed all night and loves all of her toys!! Danielle, the breeder, has been nothing but a pleasure to work with. She is so passionate about her cats and the breed, educated and helpful throughout the whole process. She has kept us in the loop on our kitten with photos and progress information up until the day we picked her up and continues to help out! She really cares about the cats, their well-being and what forever homes they go to. Our kitten came with so much including food, litter etc. She even went the extra mile and gave us a frame with her baby photo in it & important dates about her. We are so happy to have the most perfect baby to love and we cannot recommend newfound Siamese cattery enough.
