It's a bit of walking but holy crap they pack in a lot of good horror motifs. The giant monsters you encounter are worth the wait and money on their own. Also love the gift shop at the end where hungry people can have a snack and but t-shirts celebrating their over 20 year long run. Torment is my favorite Haunt by far! You certainly get your money's worth!! Torment at 1200 isn't just your average Haunt. The elaborate complex takes 45 minutes to walk from end to end the actors are very scary and dress and play the part very well. You'll be impressed as we were from beginning to end. They also feature the best props. You can tell they've put a lot of time and effort into authentic presentation!I. So if you're looking for a great experience at one of the states best Haunts, Torment at 1200 is definitely the place to go! read more

We arrived at roughly 11:30pm on the night of the 17th. The wait was decent, about a half-hour before we paid for tickets. The princess was entertaining people in line, that was pretty awesome. After we got our wristbands, we waited a few separate times in various rooms after that. That was mildly entertaining and not upsetting, as we knew we would be soon broken into our smaller, respective groups and get scared senseless. When we finally got started, our group of 5 was broken up into 3 separate groups. We had made it abundantly clear that we were together but the man did not care, he chose to stick us with strangers instead. Next, were forced to change order. I did NOT want to go first, and I was told that we were not getting in if I didn't. After trying to convince the man otherwise, we obliged. The groups were then so close together that it ruined the element of surprise and scariness because we could literally see the group in front of us. There were hardly any workers there and the ones that WERE there rushed us along so we couldn't maintain a distance between our group and the group in front of us. The group behind us was also running into us constantly and rushing us along more, which caused the workers to further rush us. We got out at 12:45, when we were told it'd be an hour and a half to get through. We paid $75 dollars for the 5 of us, on top of traveling costs (we drove from Davenport, Iowa) and we couldn't feel more taken advantage of than we do tonight. We have come in previous years and been very happy with our experience but this year was a sad change. We will not be back and we do not suggest that anyone goes and wastes their time or money. UPDATE: The owner took no responsibility and blamed us for the issues. I am very upset. I wish I could give less than 1 star. I have messaged them repeatedly and unable to get them to take any responsibility. They are no longer responding to me. The business ethics are undeniably horrible! read more

I was very disappointed! The scenery and story line were okay but I felt that the actors didn't try at all. For $15 per person my expectations were high and it didn't even come close.. at the end I felt robbed. I have been to decent ones in the past (Terror in the Woods in Donahue, IA for example) but it closed a few years back.. I haven't found one better since. Don't make the same mistake and waste your time and money on this.. oh forgot to mention, while in line, one of the workers/actresses begged customers in line for money. It wasn't a joke and was quite aqward. They need to get a cast that actually has a desire to scare people and not just stand there. Never again. read more
