Oh my, this place is absolutely terrible, I should have not waited this long to write a review on this clinic and surgeon but here goes, it's a long one. So in 2018 I decided to get a chin and neck skin reduction done by Dr. William El-Masri. I was young and it was my first time getting surgery and really want to reduce my neck fat and length of my chin. I told him how short I wanted it (which was actually a lot) and didn't realize how it might actually unbalance my face. He didn't give any professional suggestions or warnings about how shortening it too much would cause an unbalance but rather go off about how big my nose was and that my nose was just like his (which was big and bulbous) and that I should get rhinoplasty. Everything about this clinic was so unorganized, staff was unprofessional and the aesthetic was dingy looking .. that should have been my warning sign but all I was thinking was how could anyone mess up a chin. Well he did, he botched my face, leaving my chin uneven when I smile and left me with this terrible thick uneven weird long scar under my neck with an additional 2 bumps on each end that look like big pimples. I noticed hardly any difference in the liposuction and neck skin reduction the only thing he succeeded was ruining my lower face. We waited 2 whole weeks to remove my stiches when every other surgery I had always removed them much sooner which is probably why I was left with the two bumps under my chin. Our follow ups were very short and unpleasant, he showed lack of care as if he wanted to leave right as soon as he met me, he looked uninterested in everything. I remember he came up to me right before he was about to leave to tell me that he was going to do my nose and all I could smell was just foul breath to make it worse. Since then I've had a neck lift, submental lipo and a muscle shrinking procedure done by another surgeon who did a fantastic job but because Dr. El-Masri botched my chin you can really see how uneven it is more now that the skin has been tightened. I'm currently in Korea here to do facial contouring to fix the unbalance facial proportions and uneven chin. It's insane because during my consultation here in Korea we did some extensive tests and 3D x ray CT scans to show every angle of my bone structure. The surgeon in Korea even pointed out the uneven and rough bumpy looking bone that Dr. El- Masri had done. I can't wait to get it fixed because my chin looks horrible. Also Dr. El-Masri is the type of guy who would gaslight you into telling you that you're wrong if you were to bring up an issue, he did not have a warm demeanour please avoid this clinic in Yorkville and him!! Oh yeah they offered me small units of Botox I forgot what the reason was but I didn't have to pay for it and the woman at the front counter whose not even a nurse did it for me and the whole time she was "training a women" how to do Botox by using my face. Neither of them were qualified to do that. I got Botox on my chin dimples to try it out and guess what she messed up and I could smile and move my mouth on half a side. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!! Please don't trust this place with your health, they are extremely unprofessional and money hungry. I had a very simple procedure and ended up in the emergency. The clinic is so unorganized and once they receive the payment, they don't care about you. When I addressed the problem with the main nurse, she blamed everything and everyone (including the doctors hired by them) except what they are lacking. I bought a deal for laser hair removal, for six treatments. I'm not too sure how it works, but I'm pretty sure that the hair isn't suppose to grow back within a month. The machine they use looks quite ancient and even though they advertise "painless" treatments, it always hurts. The woman who performed my services was very rude, and REMINDED me to tip on my way out. I never tipped her for the six times I've been to this place. The receptionist was unprofessional and always on the phone with her boyfriend. So, not only was it a painful experience, the hair grew back in a matter of weeks after my six treatments. Got my eyebrows tattooed and it is so terrible...no other permanent makeup clinic can fix them unless I get them lasered off. I It is so embarrassing....I went back and they made me pay for a touch up that made them worse. If you cant do something as an artist or clinic SAY IT DON't ruin someone's face just for money. I wish they would at least pay for the removal because I can't afford it. My eyebrows are 2 completely different shapes and they have lines running through them that look like someone had an unstable hand doing it... I was a client at this client, a number of years ago. I had the worse experience ever, not just with the surgery but with the mean, unprofessional filipino staff that worked there. I was in my early twenties at the time and could not afford a lawyer to sue them, now that I can... I am asking anyone who has had a bad experience with this company to come forward and speak out. I have been haunted and felt depressed all these years, knowing that there was nothing I could do.. Now that i'm older and wiser and able to afford a good lawyer, I'm going public and will make sure that my many years of being depressed and unhappy after an expensive surgery, will come to an end. Worst customer service ever.... I have been waiting for 3 weeks for surgery dates. When I do get a reply which has only been once they tell me they are checking...... it doesn't take 3 weeks. They are very unresponsive and totally unprofessional. The Front desk/Admin wont let you talk tot he owner or dr because I am sure they don't want them to know how terrible they are. Don't go there, very bad experience at "La Fontaine Cosmetics Surgery" LIARS AND VERY UNPROFESIONALS they booked me for a "free consultation" for Breast augmentation with Sara and they give me a great price $6,000 plus tax and I agreed and put down a $1,000 deposit. After that they told me that I have to meet with the doctor of another consultation where the price totally changed from $6,000 to $11, 995.00. The price it doubled and of course I told them that I am not going to have the surgery and I would like to have my deposit back. Cynthia "the manager" was very rude and told me that the deposit was non refundable. I filed a complain to BBB and I advise everyone to do the same to stop this crooks. read more

Sonya, and Cynthia took my money without any problem, but day of surgery they and the doctor JUST FORGOT to do 1 FULL area of liposuction. THEY FORGOT!! I put my life at risk to go under anesthesia and they forgot to liposuction a huge part that was marked up. DONT TRUST YOUR LIFE in their hands. They didnt even tell me! I only realized after a few days once I stopped taking pain medication and when my massage lady told me that this area wasn't done. I then asked them, and they said "Yeah we forgot " and asked me to come see the doctor for a second surgery. NO doctor should even recommend a second surgery within 6 months of the procedure, and he said I can do it this week as a revision. What does that even mean?? Why should I have 2 surgeries instead of 1. My life was NOT a concern of their. Please be aware and find a doctor and clinic that CARE. I would never put my life in their hands AGAIN. my Nov 2nd 2011 experience is different from the the person who was unhappy with the service. I read some reviews before committing to my eye lid surgery and there is not a lot of positive feedback out there....I still went a head with my procedure and was completely satisfied in every way....staff was great, surgeon was great - made me feel relaxed while he was doing the procedure. After the surgery the nurse gave me her direct cell # and said if I were to have any problems - call her and she will help me with the next steps (i never needed to call her) most reviews people will read will be negative as people will take the time to complain about why they are unhappy, Very few people will write a positive review. In 2011, I underwent 6 brazilian laser hair removal sessions. Throughout the process and afterwards I saw absolutely no results. The clinic advises that it takes between 6 and 10 sessions for complete hair removal, but at no point was I told that there was a possibility of having no results. I believe that the clinic was negligent in the sessions. Some sessions were as short as 5 minutes, which is not enough time to adequately cover the area. One session was 20 minutes, and more thorough. The laser technician was also rude and unprofessional, and the one session that lasted 20 minutes was because she was busy telling me a story about her trip to Florida and how she almost cheated on her husband. My sister underwent the same procedure at a different clinic and her results were complete. I tried contacting the clinic several times and each time I was told that they would get back to me. The clinic is clean and the equipment looks fine, However I paid for one year hair laser removal and the technician who started the treatment, was very friendly and helpful and tried to do her best, the 2nd session there was another technician and she refused to provide me with the treatment on same area I had in the first session and said the first technician was fired because she had given wrong information, which is not my fault as a client. I got those information and trusted this clinic and paid and then they change their commitment which is totally unaccepted and unprofessional. when I told the receptionist about my dissatisfaction, she kept herself busy with phone and didn't answer me. now I am looking for another clinic to cover the area they refuse to treat. read more

I bought a deal for Laser Hair Removal at La Fontaine through one of those group-buying websites. I had no experience with this place but figured that since it was in Yorkville, it must be one of the best. I was WRONG! The women who work there are complete bitches. I waited patiently for 20 minutes while the laser technician blabbed on the phone, and when I politely asked if I should come back another time, they rushed me into a room, did not apologize for being late, and kept complaining to me that I wasn't giving any compliments for the service they were giving me! Needlesstosay, I did not leave a tip that day. And if it wasn't for this deal that I have already pre-paid for the year, I would never go back. I am stuck - but YOU are NOT! Buy your deal from somewhere else - there are plenty of them out there. La Fontaine staff sucks, and not only that, the decor is hideous, the floors are always covered in hair and dust so no one ever cleans them, and the bed that you lay on for laser services is so wobbly that I swear one day it will tip over and I'll end up with a scar on my face! I just contacted the clinic for the second time today to inquire about derma fillers. The person who answered the phone was too busy to talk to me the first time since she " had three people on hold" and so she suggested a call back. I decided to call later which I have and that exchange did not inspire any confidence in the clinic's ability to meet my needs. I have an uncomfortable sense about this place. The telephone connection sounded as if the clinic is using an offshore answering service. It lacks professionalism and given the price range I was given for certain procedures, one would expect a higher degree of information, discretion and an invitation to schedule an appointment with the doctor not a technician. My 'gut' feeling tells me to move on which I will do. First impressions do count and this one left me feeling really perplexed as to why a group of plastic surgeons would choose to have someone whose first language is not english using a muffled telephone system offer up information which was, for the most part incoherent. read more
