I went to Skinjectables for a Lip filler consult and subsequent treatment. By far and wide, Skinjectables is the best clinic in Toronto. The office is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The staff is attentive and friendly. My appointment was with Glenda who is quite possibly the sweetest human being ever. She knew I was nervous and did everything to make sure I was comfortable, informed and walked me through each and every step. Glenda ensured me that my results would be natural and conservative (as I had asked) and the results are incredible. I have gotten botox at another clinic in Toronto and they paled in comparison to Skinjectables. Please don't waste your time going elsewhere, this place has great reviews for a reason! The office is clean, and the girl who treated me was fabulous - she took her time to assess my face, talk about my concerns, and then was very careful and intentional with the injections. I had my first lip injection done here back in 2015 and overall experience was terrible right off the bat. I showed up to the clinic to find that it was empty. Only the receptionist and Dr Jugenburg were at the front, seeming to be closing up for the night. He looked at me sort of confused but didn't entirely acknowledge me (lol that's always a nice way to be greeted when you're spending $600 right?). Turns out my nurse (Marina) forgot my appointment and left already. Front desk called her to come back which took 20 minutes. When she came back, she was not apologetic and arguing about how the emails we sent were unclear. I was so upset near tears because of dealing with all this unnecessary waiting and arguing. How is that any way to do customer service??? I still have the emails in my inbox where she confirmed my appointment time! Just own up to your mistakes! To sum up this long review, I got one full syringe of Juvaderm, but she didn't give any numbing cream prior to the injection. I dont know if this was another screw up of her's because most give you numbing cream prior. The results were ok but she couldn't even correct a minor gap I have between my upper and lower lip (I now know she really did suck at her job because I only got half a syringe at another clinic last week and they managed to correct it easily) Maybe they have better staff now but I wouldn't take a chance. I have to start out this review with a warning to first timers to this clinic. While it is highly advertised as a "walk in " for botox & fillers, you need to see the doctor first, I was waiting 2.5 hrs. So please keep this in mind with your first appointment. This is a fantastic, what would one call it, clinic? The staff are super nice and made me feel very comfortable for my first time. Plus they do a follow up a few weeks after ur Botox to make sure that everything is sitting right which when I checked with my girls who also get it, none of them have had that service at the places they go to. I came here today initially to get shots in my masseter (Botox) as I have TMJ and my dentist suggested a while back to get Botox as relaxes the muscle and calms the pain and clenching at night which can help get rid of my migraines. Anyways, my first appointment was canceled as I was en-route at the doctor was called away on an emergency. I was super bummed and had spent the cab fare to get downtown , I had emailed them to find out the next time I could come and they gave me $50 off my treatment PLUS $20 reimbursement for cab fare! So awesome of them. It was a tad hard to find at first, it's in the Royal York hotel. They have 2 areas upstairs is for surgery and downstairs is for injectables. Glenda took me upstairs to meet the doctor first, just because I was a first timer at their clinic. After answering standard questions I went into the treatment room. Glenda was so informative , eased my mind about some fear I had about injecting into the jaw, she was so knowledgeable, gentle with the needles (I've had doctors who are really rough, not fun) I completely recommend them, the area is clean, modern and fresh looking, they are all super friendly and easy to talk to. I Went in for some dermal filler this week. This is my first time at this clinic so I didn't request a specific nurse, and I was given an appointment with nurse Shan. I came in with the intention to have one area treated but I did have some questions about doing other areas. Nurse Shan was very honest with me and didn't try to push or sell any unnecessary treatments that I didn't need which really stood out to me that she was looking out for my best interest. After having my dermal filler, which was quite comfortable with minimal pain, I immediately loved my results. It has been a few days and I am definitely satisfied as my filler looks natural but did make a noticeable difference to me. I am so happy with my experience with nurse Shan, and the beautiful clinic was a bonus. I am big on service and when someone is passionate and truly cares for the clients they are treating it shows. I will definitely return for more treatments in the future and recommend them highly to anyone interested. read more
