I cannot give enough praise and thanks to Andrew and how he has helped me in a variety of ways so far. He is so passionate about his work as a healer, always exuding loving energy and warmth. I have seen him quite a few times now for hypnotherapy sessions. As soon as I met Andrew for my first session, despite being a little unsure of what to expect before getting there, I immediately felt very safe, welcomed and calm. Just by being his genuine self, he makes you feel very comfortable. He is very easy to talk to and very understanding of anything that you may be dealing with. I had originally gone to him for help with my chronic pain. I was looking for anything and everything to help as the 20-something doctors I've seen so far have not been any help at all. I have certainly learned, through hypnosis sessions, to deal with my chronic pain much easier than before. It wasn't until recently that I started to uncover many issues in my life that were causing me emotional pain and stress, which I believe have been contributing to my chronic physical pain and other health issues. Through hypnotherapy sessions with Andrew, I've been able to really face and let go of some things that I've held onto for a very long time that have caused me a lot of stress and anxiety. Everyone needs someone like Andrew at some crucial point in their lives & for me it was for severe trauma that resulted in crippling anxiety. Andrew I want to first thank you for having impacted my life in such a profound & positive way & in such a short period of time. Having tried everything other than medication for my anxiety & nightmares I came into hypnosis as a last resort, fearing falling into a deep depression I went to see Andrew with an open mind & an open heart that was fueled with the desperation to be whole again for my 2 young kids, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made at a pivotal stage in my life & I am happy to share that I have my life back & feel incredibly blessed to feel really alive again. I happened to find Andrew Gentile online & now can't believe how lucky I was. I loved his website & its description of his work but when I booked an appointment with him I really didn't know what to expect. I was going through a personal crisis & had already had 4 sessions with a psychoanalyst to help me get through it, but I was still hurting both emotionally & spiritually. The psychoanalyst had been a bit of a comfort mainly as a good listener but I didn't feel that I was getting the help I needed - nothing seemed to be changing for me & I was still struggling just as much; the sessions seemed to be geared for a long-term sort of 'indirect' therapy vs. directly addressing my immediate circumstances & giving me the help I needed at that moment. I can only describe my first session with Andrew as a revelation. I met Andrew 2 years ago in the middle of heartbreak from the end of a 6 year relationship. I had just moved to a new city and taken on a new job so was dealing with a lot of new challenges. Also, the relationship I had been in created a lot of anxiety for me. I need help with heartbreak + anxiety. I'll admit, I was nervous when I decided that I was going to see a hypnotist to solve my problem. I wasn't really sure what it entailed, and I didn't know if I'd leave clucking like a chicken like some of the audience participants do on tv. This was my first experience using Hypnotherapy and I have to say I am impressed with the results I got. My session was with Michael and it felt like a really complete approach to what was going on with me. My initial reason for booking was to work through some stuff around a breakup I had been dealing with, but we ended up addressing a pretty long-term problem I had with some anxiety as well. He talked me through the biology behind my anxiety, taught me some ways to work with overriding it on my own, and then also worked with me on the breakup. I felt a lot different the next day, so needless to say I am very pleased with how things went. I have been working with the homework he gave me, and also the self-hypnosis exercises from the Heartbreak Manual that his partner wrote, and have been doing really well since then. I just completed a 10 day transformational hypnotherapy certification course with Andrew and Michael and could not sing their praises any louder. The course was a wonderful mix of theory and hand on practice. And beautifully paced. What I did not expect but should have, is how much work we each did on ourselves, how much we each transformed. I went to see Andrew at the suggestion of a friend to try hypnotherapy. He was definitely the right person for me! He has a debonair attitude and is soft spoken, gentle, kind and intelligent. He was able to explain clearly what hypnotherapy was, how it works and what would happen in the sessions to come. I felt totally comfortable in his presence and knew that he could be trusted. I was not wrong with my first and second impression, nor my 5th, 6th and subsequent impressions. I found Andrew to be most welcoming, with a great sense of humour and is very astute at reading people. He picked up on a lot from me in our conversation and made me look at myself in a light that I hadn't considered before. I went for fear of flying I went twice and it got me on the plane and back.
