Toronto Hyundai isn't perfect, however, their team leaders appear to have autonomy to help the customer. Newer advisor dealing with a warranty wasn't informed and Dominic worked it out by the time the car was fixed. Dash cams, dealerships who want to disconnect them should deter you from wanting to bring your vehicle to them. Having had a sensor messed, and impacting my ADAS,the dash cam can help determine the "why." Sales, not pushy, met Lawrence who discussed the Ionic 9 and said he'd pull the EV from their over lot if I wanted to test drive. read more

They were clearly looking to establish a long-term relationship with me as a customer and provided options which were aimed toward my best interest and not only intended to accommodate their contribution margin. As such this most positive interacted ended with me giving Hyundai another chance and leasing yet another Hyundai vehicle. Took my car here the other day for oil change and some check up, the filipino lady at the counter was not nice and have a bad tone of voice it was my first car buy from this area technically the car was new and i am not aware of the services however, i was charge more the I expected with services maintenance which i didn't ask for I wasn't fully explain but a fat bill after. I even had a car wash its a part of the care and leave smear all over. Overall services here is bad customer service is garbage people here is always on defensive. read more

Dealership advertised current inventory Hybrid Santa Fe 2024 with Trend package. I filled out the unlock quote form and gave credit card information and drivers license. On phone call with dealership was told Daniel Denese does not work for Hyundai anymore. They do not have the vehicle in stock as advertised. When I asked Tatiane to refund the refundable deposit, she said the online sales manager does not work on Saturdays and I should call on Monday to speak with Vince. Suspected online scam/fraud. Called credit card company to reverse the deposit charge, no charge on file. Have cancelled my credit card. Very poor customer experience and potential fraud for identity theft. read more

Please do not contact me again in regards to services that were schedule august 24 and 31st I came in on the 24 left my car with you for hours and when I returned I pulled out onto the Main Street and the clanging began again I came in again on august 31 to fix this banging for the second time I was told the service would take less than an hour so I waited at your establishment 1 and a half hours later my car was still sitting in the same place that I had parked it and no one had even looked at it I asked for my keys back so that I could get to a meeting at work As I waited for my car keys someone drove my car back to look at it This delayed me even further and the end result was that I was asked to return for the third time so that a part could be ordered and so that my entire dashboard could be removed to look underneath Because of this I have found a new garage that has been doing my repairs, snow tires etc. I am very happy with them, as I was very happy with the garage I used for 6 years before I moved. Your lack of communication and consideration for my wasted time means that I will not be returning to Toronto Hyundai. read more

Parents went to buy a brand new car they promised a few days to deliver the car. To this day its been 3 weeks and counting. They are not keeping in contact and avoiding us from getting vehicle. They as well already took the money without delivery. Definitely would not go back due to the lack of organization, lack of honesty & integrity and lack of communication with the car. Booked a simple service and tire swap appointment and chose the option of waiting as I live quite far. I was told that it would be 2 to 2.5 hours so came prepared to work - should have been a breeze. 4 hours later and I'm still waiting for my car to be done! No problems with it, just bad service due to really poor time management and carelessness. If someone told me earlier that the car couldn't be seen for 4 hours I wouldn't have been happy but I could have made alternative arrangements. Now my day is a mess. read more

where do I even begin with this place? Took my car in this past weekend to have my all season tires put back on my car, get an oil change and then store my winter tires. about an hour after waiting the service advisor came out and said that it was recommended that my transmission and differential fluid be changed. I asked how much it would be to change both fluids as it had been 5 years and they had not been changed (since I purchased the car), I was told it would be $400 so I agreed. when the bill came the final total was $960 so naturally I asked how that was possible. the service advisor told me that the cost of the fluids were totalled at almost $600. I responded by telling him that this was not the price that was quoted to me originally and I wasn't going to pay higher then I was quoted. also discovered that I was charged $465 for labour.... excuse me ?!?!? $465 to pour liquids and take off tires? found out that after waiting 3 hours that my car had been finished an hour sooner then they said it was so they charged me additional labour for my car to sit there .... dishonest much ?!? paid the bill because I needed my car, leave and then realize that the service tech didn't put back my wheel lock key so I drive all the way back to this garbage establishment. by the time I got there the mechanic was gone so I told the advisor that Hyundai was to replace the lock key because without it i cannot get my tires off. I was reassured that they would replace it and call me asap I have yet to hear anything back and have to again waste time to go down there and force them to replace it. in addition to this disaster in the past they have charged me for a full oil change and only filled it half way to which I had to point out and complain about on two separate occasions and they have lied about having to get filters in the car changed when they didn't need changing because shortly before those appointments I had changed the filters myself. This place does not care about the customer at all and if your women they treat you like your an idiot and know nothing. Worst dealership in the city avoid if you can and don't let them tell you that you have to go to them for service as part of your Warranty because you don't you can go to any warranty approved mechanic for service . read more

He made me feel confident in my purchase, and was not pushy at all. He gave me an amazing deal and then the courtesy of an extra discount. The car is a blast to drive! My experience especially with the service department is not a good one. I feel like they don't want to do their job to help me with the issue with my 2017 Hyundai Tucson. I called the service department, spoke to Mae Osorio and inquired with her about issues in my Tucson but she did not give any specific answer to my inquiry. She just says that "I am not an engineer or Technician I don't know" what she could have done is call the technician who check my vehicle and ask. And I did not hear any update from the a report that they created for Hyundai Canada regarding my vehicle. So I don't know if they will be able to fix it or not. I have been dealing with this dealership since 2006 and up until recently have always been satisfied with the professionalism. In the spring the service started to side and yesterday it sunk to the bottom. The front desk people have been replaced with incompetent zombies. Service that should take an hour was delayed for 3 because the person who took my order held up maintenance because he called my home number even though he could see me sitting 15 feet away and I had told him at the start that I would be waiting. Yes, I should have said something sooner but he was told that I was waiting and could see me if he looked up. Bottom line. When I pick up my tires in the spring that will be the last time I set foot in there. I'm looking to buy the new Sonata but there is zero chance that they will ever see one more penny of my money. Bottom line: I would NEVER recommend this dealership. read more

I bought a new Hyundai car last October and during the first few months the heated steering wheel stopped working, the alternator stopped working and when I tried to get it fixed they forgot to order the part and then tried to charge me for a battery recharge that did not need doing. Trying to sell it back when I am leaving the country has been like pushing treacle up a hill and although I was given a good offer a couple of months ago, the final offer was far less than other dealerships gave and the appointments are difficult to make and not kept when you arrive and still waiting for a reply on my last email in this regard even though the loop they leave you holding on says they are super keen to buy back second hand cars. The service takes longer than expected and no replacement vehicles available but when you say something they say well it is under warranty so no problem. No problem for who? There are some hard working good characters there, but they are clearly understaffed most of the time. I would not buy hyundai again, overall not a good customer experience at all. read more

Bought our Tucson here. The air conditioner compressor broke after six years. Had it fixed here for $1200. Then three years later, the air conditioner compressor breaks again. This is a known problem on this make/model. This dealership, on purpose, only gives a one year warranty on the part that is offered as at least a five to ten year warranty in other garages. Went to another place for the second repair and they did an amazing job. Don't get your car serviced here. They just care about the money - not their customers. read more

The last experience was horrible. I brought (Tuesday May 16) my car 2 weeks ago because it is jerking every time it shifts. They told me its 02 sensor. So I paid for sensor and labor for around $300 and they ordered the parts. They said wait for 2 days for parts to arrive. After 2 days (Thursday May 18) the parts arrived late afternoon but no one called. I called Friday and the service advisor assigned to my vehicle is off so I waited another day. Called the guy Saturday (May 20) morning and told him that the parts came. He said they cannot put my car in service because they are busy. I told him that he knows that we are just waiting for a sensor and he knows that it will come in 2 days so they should schedule my car ahead. Anyway, he said he will schedule it for Tuesday (May 23) since it is long weekend. They called me Tuesday afternoon that the car is ready. Paid for another $700++ for the labor. The guy told me that there is a 1 year warranty for the parts and service made. Went home that night ok. The very next day I still experiencing some jerking but I ignore it and told myself to give it some time thinking maybe because ne O2 sensor just got installed. Thursday and Friday, jerking comes frequently and the car has hard time accelerating from total stop (stop sign or traffic). I brought the car back again to Hyundai Dufferin Saturday 8am. Told the same guy I have the same problem and additional issues. He said he cannot squeeze my car that day. Don't wanna have more argumentations so we agreed on Monday (May 29). The guy was kind enough to help me rent a car for the weekend. I keep on following up the whole day (Monday) for update. After work personally go there around 4:30pm to ask for update. After 1 hour that is the only time they put the car in service to check what's the problem. After another 30mins, the service advisor told me that the as per the technician the problem is the transmission and recommended for change. The guy quoted me for transmission change $7,000 plus. I asked him why this problem never occurred 2 weeks ago when their technician checked it. If they told me that the problem is the transmission that time I wouldn't have to proceed with the O2 sensor and paid $1000++. Now I have no choice but to pull back the vehicle because it will cost me a fortune for the transmission issue. I really don't understand why they did not diagnosed the problem at first since it is only more than a week difference. Are they trying to make you come back and tell you there's more problem that they need to fix? So, I just gave them $1000++ and my car wasn't fixed and additional problems occurred. I bought and serviced my Veloster here since 2012. It is not near my home but I always come the extra distance to get my work done here. They always offer a shuttle to and from the mall while I wait. They always have taken good care of me and my car. I typically feel more obligated to leave negative feed back for a a bad experience with a business and often fail to review good experiences. Seeing Hyundai's overall poor review I feel they deserve better. Never ending issues here. I've been going here for every service for about 2 years now. Hard to get the service department on the phone. Always passed around to different departments. They removed my master bolt for my tires for whatever reason and never gave me it back- only saying they wouldn't have when I know for a fact they did as I had it before the appointment and only went here. Ordered my tires from their storage and drove an hour to pick up and they aren't here. The person who said they would apparently forgot. They thereafter ordered them from storage and called me to confirm they are here and what do you know, they aren't. Some nice people in service but how can anyone keep coming in under these circumstances? read more

The service department is very poorly organized and service jobs take longer than expected because of that. I called to check to see if there was a recall on my car. I confirmed twice on the phone that there was. Then I get to the service centre and they say that they never ran my VIN and in fact there was no recall! Very frustrating. While waiting 30 minutes for them to figure that out, I also saw them order the wrong side mirror for a customer and a litany of other failures. If being clear and checking and checking again is not enough, I am not sure what you can do to make the service go better. Also parts costs are 33% more than I was able to find elsewhere. read more

Joseph was very kind, and answered all our questions with detail, allowing us to compare prices and features between new vehicles and the one we tried. This is the best car dealership I have been to so far! I bought my car from Arnold Cabalza a while back. I was in good hands with his knowledge and assistance. Definitely recommend him to anyone looking to buy a car. I went to the downtown Hyandai once as its a lot closer to me and the staff wasn't that pleasant at all. So I go to the Dufferin location even though its a lot further. However its so worth the extra distance! The staff is amazing and I now go there every time I need my car serviced. Everyone I communicated with was so pleasant and helpful. From the receptionist Zekiya (apologies if that is misspelled), Manager Brandon, Porter and I wish I remembered the other names and of course Arnold, he always makes sure I am good hands. read more

Service Department is subpar. Follow schedules and don't actually think about problems. I have been having oil consumption issues for over a year. Every time they told me it was normal...until the first oil change outside of warranty. I am a very angry and upset consumer right now. A few weeks ago, we went to go look at a 2013 Elantra, the salesman was great and we felt very comfortable purchasing the car (it was going to be our second car). We signed the papers, but the next day found out we could not afford the insurance, so we called and went into the dealer the next day asking for our $1000 deposit back and to cancel our purchase (which we are entitled to). The salesman said they were not allowed to refund our deposit but they'll hold our $1000 for an unlimited amount of time in case we came back to spend on another vehicle. A couple weeks later, after doing a lot of research, we found out from other dealerships and other sources that we are entitled to receive all or at least some of our deposit back if any cancellation occurs. Now, since the car wasn't available and had to be shipped to the dealer (which would've taken 2 weeks) and we canceled the day after signing the papers, we thought we'd be able to get our money back without any 'damages' resulting in them keeping our deposit. SO, today we went back to speak with the General Sales Manager, Fendy Wong. He tried to explain how its 'policy' that they were not allowed to return our money and kept saying the same thing no matter how many times we argued about the fact that we are entitled to get our money back. He would not give us any paperwork showing/proving this policy or any reason why they are keeping our money. The contract we signed didn't state anything he said either. He was also very contradicting. Saying things then when proved wrong, would go back to that excuse of the 'policy' or trying to change what he said. Overall, our experience has been horrible at Toronto Hyundai. They get you into making a quick deal, then will scam you for your money no matter how right you (the consumer) are. I'm not saying we didn't make a mistake of signing the contract before checking our insurance, but come on, the customer is always right. Avoid going to Toronto Hyundai. read more
