We've seriously braved Québec's -25° two Decembers ago. So much so, when we came back to NY, hubs and I laughed because once you experience that type of bone-chilling weather, you're set for anything. And visiting Montréal consecutively in back-to-back winters for 3 years now, their Winters are still cold- but not Québec cold. So what does it boil down to? A warm AF all-around bitchin coat. I set my mind up to visit Nordstrom at The Westchester, but before I even got to Aritzia (on the 2nd floor), their long puffer display coats caught my eye. Aritzia has an industrial type feel- but the warm lighting, made the store feel cozy. I was so caught up in finding a coat, I didn't even check if there's a men's section. Greeting was nice and Aiesha(?) was helpful. The shop carries their own in-house brands as well as other labels including Levi's and so many others. I'll be honest, I asked her to hold a long puffer coat I picked out because quite frankly-I didn't want to spend more than $200 on a coat. Yet considering their quality and brand- I squeamishly felt their $398.00 (excluding tax) price tag went hand in hand. However, having said that, I also wanted to look elsewhere and see if I can find a coat for a fraction of what Aritzia's coats cost- then perhaps circle back and come back here. Sure enough, I didn't see anything I liked at Nordstrom. So Aritzia was it. I know all down long coats aren't created equal. Plus I love a specific pop collar or cowl-style that suits with my style. Hubs dished out the $431 for my long yellow down coat- but it's so worth it! The only way I see this is that coats are going to be pricey if you're looking at good quality ones. Plus this is an investment for years to come. I think I'm already hooked!

Kimberly spent the next hour helping me figure out what fit best for me and help determine what size I actually am. I ended up exchanging the bra I had ordered for something else and she applied the same promotions I had used to save me some money since none of the bras were on sale like they had been the week before. Kimberly was so friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable that I could trust her judgment on the fit of the bras and she pulled what she felt would be best for what I was looking for.

I had purchased Lucky Brand slacks at other major department stores but as I was browsing at Nordstrom's I was told, they no longer carried their clothing. So we walked over to the Lucky Brand store located on the lowest level ( L1) of the mall and we were greeted by Narda Brissett, who greeted me warmly and after asking me a few pertinent questions about my shopping preferences, became my personal " dresser"! Narda made great suggestions and while I went into Lucky Brand thinking I might buy one or two pairs of jeans or slacks, my wife and I walked out with two shopping bags filled with sweaters, slacks and warm winter shirts! Did I mention that most of their clothing was reduced by up to 70%! Their prices were so low, it made sense to start stocking up on clothing for the spring as well as next winter!
