This is on a side street right across from Cerveceria Chapultepec in Andares. I have walked by…read morethis restaurant countless times while visiting Guadalajara and staying at the Hyatt Regency. The front view from the main road looks like greenery and difficult to see it's a restaurant. The best part about that is that is where the outdoor seating is and you feel like you are out of the city in a great cozy spot with loads of ambiance. Service was great, waiters were attentive enough. Food was good, I wouldn't say great. We were a party of four, two adults and two kids. We appreciate they have a few vegetarian options and ordered the cheese enchiladas, three different tacos, chile renello and the queso fundido. Tortillas were plentiful and the salsas were very tasty. The "chips" they gave us when we sat were from a big Tostitos bag and obviously store bought not homemade like most places, this surprised me since the first time I got chips in Mexico that were from a bag...we don't even get these in USA at restaurants (always hot or fresher ones). The stars of our meal were: Arroz y Frijoles (yes, the rice and beans were better than our meals). My sons Enchiladas with verde sauce were all our favorite and had a good flavor. MY favorite of all was my Margarita Tamarindo, the best one I have ever had! If i wasn't so full I would have had 5 more! haha. This restaurant has been around for a LONG time and I can see why, I appreciate the veg options and I will surely be back everytime i'm in GDL. A must try!

A local friend brought us here during our trip to Guadalajara, and it ended up being one of the…read morebest meals we had all vacation. I ordered the pozole, chicken enchiladas, and an agua de jamaica, and everything was delicious. The pozole had amazing flavor and tender meat, although I personally would have loved a little more red color from the chile. The agua de jamaica was perfectly balanced, not too sweet and not too tart, and the chicken enchiladas were outstanding. As someone who usually only eats pozole and enchiladas made by my mom, that's saying a lot. The restaurant was very clean, the food felt authentic, and I would absolutely come back.

The pico de gallo was very spicy and flavorful. I LOVED it. We ordered the tacos dorados. They didn't allow us to order plain carne (which is strange because that's what we usually order) so instead we ordered the picadillo. I'm not a huge fan of picadillo because since it mixes the meat with carrots and potato it tasted kind of sweet. I should've tried the bean or potato taco instead. I love how crispy the tacos are and all the toppings that came with them. I ordered the chicken enchilada as well and that was fantastic! So much flavor but it didn't have a runny sauce which i thought was interesting. The tostada with cajeta and queso was a strange combination but the flavors complemented each other perfectly. I highly recommend getting at least one if you find yourself here. The ambiance is very homey. You see a lot of large parties here and a lot of families. This is a great place to bring a group because of the fast service and delicious food.
