This is a good honest mechanic with very fair prices,…read moretrust me, we were at C&J tire off of 422 in the Exeter area and I had a particular problem with my front left tire/bearing joint area and C&J Tire told me they could fix it for around $250. I said ok, then the lady at the counter I was talking to said "hold on" she then walked back to speak with the young newbie looking mechanic in the back. When she came back out she all of a sudden doubled my price quote to around $500 and tried to say you need both front ends done! I left and went to Classic Auto and had him look it over. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it and charged me 60% LESS than C&J Tire! Needless to say I now bring my vehicles here to Classic Auto!

It left me extremely suspicious of their expertise, but after having work done on my tie rods, I took the car to them for a simple balance and rotation. It wasn't until AFTER they had completed the job that they called me and said I would need brand new tires if I wanted to pass inspection, so I had to buy brand new tires. Instead of giving me the chance to get new tires and THEN perform the balance and rotation, they did the job anyway so I had to pay for the job to be done twice in the same week. Then after being promised I'd pass inspection because of the new tires, they failed me on inspection anyway, forced me to have more work done on my car, then failed it again. I called the garage that did the repairs they told me had to be done and they said they did the work up to state standards and there is absolutely no reason my car would fail. He actually recommended I get a sheriff involved because I was being robbed. I will never trust them again. if you want to waste money on your car, take it to Dulins because they will make sure your money is wasted.

I mentioned numerous times about an oil change , when I called when I dropped it off. The day I dropped it off they were closed at the time that they were supposed to be open and I had to turn around and come home and call to find out when they would be opening up. I did get my car in that day for what I thought was going to be an inspection and oil change along with anything else that the service required. I heard nothing from them all day so right before closing I had to call to see if my car was ready. They said it would be however when I got there, they were still working on it. I found out that they never did the oil change because they did not know what the service number on the dashboard meant and had to look it up and would do that the next day and call me, which they never did! Being that they specialize in foreign vehicles, they should know or have the capability of looking up what the codes mean. I was even told that they were sure it did NOT include an oil change. Regardless of whether that service did, I specifically wanted an oil change. I looked up the code when I got home only to find out that it should have indeed had an oil change. I did not drive my car for a few days after getting it home and parking it in my garage. When I pulled my car out of the garage I noticed scrapes below BOTH front doors!! Since I had not noticed it for a few days, I did not say anything to them because I am sure they will deny causing the scrapes, but have no doubt they did. When I did go to pick up my car, they left me standing in the waiting area for a very long time with the kids who kept repeating that, maybe they should go get their mother who was in the garage. That was nice of the kids to be concerned because the mother and owner was aware that I was there since they saw me come in but didn't have the courtesy to acknowledge me and let me know they were still working on my car, which I think was rushed. This is the second time I used this repair shop. The first time it was more of an emergency due to a dead battery and had my car towed there. Everything was fine that time except that while I was standing in the waiting room yet again for an extended period of time , I could barely handle the smell of marijuana. Needless to say, I would not recommend this repair shop.
