It takes all the stress and hardship out of the treatment process. Residency in this lodge help the patients to focus on medical treatment while on the road to recovery. Under this roof are many blessings in one! The rooms are clean bright, spacious and comfortable. Wonderful Kitchens: there is cabinet, refrigerator, freezer spaces for the convenience of home living. This is a wonderful place to stay while receiving medical treatment! Management and Staff: Jackie, Christy, Diane, Christina, John, Vickie, Chris, Carlton and many others were pleasant friendly and make you feel comfortable and are assets to this organization. We thank all the organizations and pass patients who visited and provided free meals, I want to say we are grateful for the preparation and donations of every meal and we appreciate everything you have done. The inpatient care center is utilized for hospice patients requiring acute care of symptom management when symptoms can't be managed in their home. It is also available for patients who are in the hospital, elect hospice care, and require symptom management. They can be transported to the ET York care center, receive medications and care for symptom management, stabilize, and be transferred home to continue with hospice services. An RN case manager visits every 1-2 weeks to assess the patient for changes, provide patient centered care planning, and ongoing emotional support. Patients also receive spiritual support from a Haven chaplain, social worker, and Home health aides if they so desire.

The staff is attentive. The guest rooms are large. Each has a very large window that looks out onto the beautiful property. There's an onsite eating area & an inside sitting area that is decorated for the holidays; the cost of a meal to visitors is minimal. This place is kept immaculate. There is also outside seating & paths of bricks that sport the names of past residents who died peacefully at this care facility. (The bricks can be purchased & engraved w/ personalized messages.) There's a very nice gift shop on site that is manned by volunteers, & local artwork (up for sale) that line the hallways. The doctors & nursing staff are top notch-- trained in hospice care. There's one permanent doctor assigned here & on call overnight. Parking is easy; there is no shortage. If your area loved one is in a state of acute crisis w/ death eminent (& home care is an impossibility), this facility is a wonderful option. My father surprisingly "graduated" from here, & in late 2008 an elderly friend died here. Both patients & their families/friends received excellent care/service.
