Cliff was awesome to work with! My daughter and I found his booth at the Westlake Village Wedding Show and so happy we did! He has a great price for using his DJ services and the photo booth (frankly the most reasonably priced and the photo booth cinched the deal!). Cliff was great to work with and very accessible throughout the process from selecting the music to helping us during the dry run at the wedding rehearsal the evening before. Gary was the DJ at my daughters wedding and he was on time, if not early, setting up the photo booth, the equipment inside the ballroom/dining room and also setting up the outside mic for the reverend and bride and groom for the actual outside wedding ceremony (so everyone could hear the exchange of vows and the sermon). Everything went picture perfect! Gary kept the whole wedding on track and everyone dancing until the end; he could read the crowd and adjust to what was needed during the whole evening of fun. We were delightfully surprised when Cliff emailed us all the pictures from the photo booth and a You Tube video with select pictures with sound track to share with our guests! Get that photo booth! This review is way overdue. We hired Total Entertainment DJs for our wedding at a private estate in Santa Ynez October of 2015 and could not be happier with the services provided. Cliff and his team made sure that our special day went smooth and took all the pressure off of us so we could just enjoy the day. The DJ had our family dancing all night long. Our "day of" coordinator really knew how to keep everything flowing no matter what obstacles came up she made sure we were oblivious to any hitches and did a perfect job of both sticking to the plan but also letting the night unfold naturally as not to seem forced. I can't say enough good things about The Wedding Music DJ's. They were my MC/DJ for my wedding a little over a month ago and they did a fantastic job! Cliff, the owner is very professional and really listens to all questions and concerns. He even did a walk-through our venue (a private home) just to see where the equipment will be set up and to make sure everything will go smoothly the day-of. Gary was our MC/DJ and he was brilliant! My guests had nothing but great things to say about the music and his MC skills! We also rented their Photobooth and it was a hit! The attendant for it was so sweet. My fiancé and I were VERY SPECIFIC on what we wanted and would not be offended if we were considered somewhat of a pain client. If we were considered micromanageers, they listened and performed. They knocked it out of the park. There are too many things to list on the positives of this company. We even had last minute changes and the DJ, Gary, was adaptable like a marine. The DJ was not evasive and was barely noticeable throughout the night, which is what we wanted. He participated only when needed as an MC. We had no real specific music requests but the music played during dinner was at a low level in order for table conversation and the songs played were fun and non-intrusive. Nothing but compliments from our guests on the whole night. As stated before, this was just the tip of the iceberg on how great they were. read more

Gary was our wedding DJ. We briefly met with him before the wedding & had most of our meetings with Cliff. Things were professional but the disappointment was that Gary mispronounced my husband's last name when he was introducing us. It's not a common last name, but easy to pronounce once you hear it & is phonetic-- Gary never asked to hear it, which I felt he should have done to be sure he said our full names correctly. He read our guests' enthusiasm about the music well & changed when necessary, but didn't have as much enthusiasm about our wedding as I would've liked, which I imagine is related to the fact that we didn't really interact with him. read more

Overall we wee satisfied with them but had quite a few issues from the get go... One of them being that they lost my deposit several times and blamed it on management changing around which I understand but it was frustrating and stressful 2. I had emailed them regarding a few really important songs that I needed the correct version to be played and they swore up and down hat they had them on the list but it never was played 3. The wrong song was played for me to walk down the aisle to. As a bride, you could imagine how this would infuriate you because you spend a lot of time finding these special songs and to find out it's wrong in the moment of the ceremony and not be able to do anything was heartbreaking I think they did a good job at the wedding and I probably will refer them to other people but with CAUTION. Cliff and his team are absolutely amazing! We did his whole package...he was our officiant, DJ, lighting and they did our photo booth as well. I'm sure he has worked with some big spending clients, but he was able to accomodate our modest budget. This is definitely not a time where you get what you pay for...we got so much more! He did a wonderful job of on our ceremony, and even living out of state and meeting with him a few times, I feel like he just got us, and tailored our ceremony perfectly for my husband and I. I want to add, that we met with Gary before the wedding, and went over every detail with him. It made the day of go perfectly. I recommend meeting before hand with the D.J. Who will be playing your wedding to go over the details. It made all the difference, we were able to clear up any confusion on our wedding timeline before they became errors on the wedding day. Amazing! Used them for our wedding in April and we couldn't of been more pleased. We decided to use them for lights, photo booth, and DJ. Cliff was very helpful and friendly. Amazing! We had Cliff come out and help us with our wedding and getting everyone lined up and ready to walk down the isle it was so helpful. This company was hired for my daughter's wedding. We reside out of the area so possibly we are simply used to a better quality of DJ. The person sent to our reception was personable but certainly not professional. He played incorrect music for a special dance. He failed to ever announce the cupcake table. He failed to play some music that was to be played. At the end of the evening, he pushed an intoxicated wedding guest that wanted another song to be played. He should have completely handled the situation differently and should have never touched the female guest. The venue owner excused his behavior by saying he was excited by a recent live rap rendition but there is no excuse for his behavior. He laid his hand on a guest and he was not protecting himself- very unprofessional behavior. I would never recommend this company. read more

I first came across The Wedding Music DJ's, as they were on the preferred vendors list at the Westlake Village Inn. Upon coming across their website, I saw that they offered multiple services for weddings. I made an appointment with Cliff H. as I needed someone to do the lighting, ceremonial wedding music, photo booth, and reception music with a MC/DJ. Having offered so many different services, made the whole wedding process so easy going and fluid. Making one appointment for all those different services was a relief on my part, as I already felt the weight and pressure of wedding planning on my shoulders. Upon meeting Cliff, he was so welcoming, easy going, and helpful. He had everything mapped out, and by the end of the appointment I felt assured that my wedding was going to go the way I envisioned. As the weeks drew closer, Cliff made sure to go over every last detail, and had my whole wedding planned to the last minute. Melynda, the office manager I believe, also was very helpful in any questions I had regarding my wedding, and facilitated the process of planning and organizing the details as well. The big day came, on 12/13/14, and it went so well! Everyone raved about the Photo Booth. We had so many photo booth pictures at the end of the night, and they made such a beautiful album with everyone's signatures in it by the end of the night as well. The lighting captured every moment of my wedding in perfection, as we have the photos to prove it. Our MC/DJ was Frank. He did amazing!! Everyone was engaged and on the dance floor. I couldn't have asked for a better MC/DJ!!! The music played during the ceremony was classic and beautifully done. By the end of the night, my husband and I both had a big smile on our faces, as our wedding went exactly if not better then what we had envisioned. We used Total Entertainment DJs for several different services - DJ, Coordination, Photobooth, Serving staff, dance floor lighting, & dance lessons. They did an excellent job at everything!! Cliff was super helpful and met with us several times throughout the planning process, as well as his coordinator, Melynda. Cliff has been working in the wedding industry for a long time and he is super knowledgeable. Gary was our DJ and he did such a great job - our dance floor was full ALL night long! Melynda was amazing and made our day run so smoothly. The photobooth was a huge hit - they supplied a ton of props, a youtube video, an online album & an amazing guest book with each photo and notes from our guests - we will treasure it forever! Cliff also provided 3 servers to help out our caterer for the night and they did such an amazing job from start to finish. Cliff also recommended his son for our bartending services and he was great to work with as well. We had a friend officiate our wedding, but Cliff also does that as well if you are interested. Cliff also has an extensive dance background and offers dance lessons. He gave us a lesson a few days before our wedding tailored to our first dance song so we felt much more comfortable on the dance floor at our wedding. There in not enough good words to describe how amazing Cliff and his staff are! We met cliff about a year and a half ago at a bridal fair. After meeting him, we instantly booked them for our DJ. One of their DJs, Gary, was there and gave off an excellent first impression. We requested him for our wedding, and he did not disappoint. We received, and are still receiving so many compliments on him. Everyone was so impressed with how smooth the songs ran into each other, his music volume was perfect, and he kept the crowd going the entire time (without being annoying.) Not only was Gary great, but there was constant communication with Cliff and his staff throughout the ENTIRE year and a half. After talking to Melynda, their wedding coordinator, we decided to hire her as well. She is such a sweetheart!! She took so much pressure and stress off of us instantly! We met a few times, making a timeline of the wedding, and planning when everything should happen. She stuck to that 100% throughout the wedding. Not only did everything run perfect (thanks to Melynda,) but she was there for anything and everything. She gave my husband a mini dance lesson minutes before our grand entrance, fixed my dress when needed, put my garter on before the toss, always checking up on my husband and I making sure we were happy, relaxed, and making sure "we weren't doing anything the groom and bride shouldn't be doing on their big day." About a month before the wedding, we decided we wanted to rent their photo booth as well. SO happy we did. They brought a screen to play the pictures of everyone throughout the night, and the girl running it was so nice. To our surprise, after the wedding I received an email from them with a link to a YouTube video they made of the photo booth pictures! LOVE it!! I honestly have nothing disappointing or bad to say about any of them. They exceeded any of our expectation, and I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat! We got married on October 4th of this year and I cannot express enough what an amazing day it was all around. Cliff and his 'crew' are beyond words! Cliff officiated our ceremony and my guests are still commenting on his performance (for lack of a better word right now). He was sincere and professional yet appropriately funny when those little unexpected things come up during the ceremony itself. The staff that worked the photo booth was great and a lot fun. I was shocked the next morning to find the photo album with all the prints already arranged sitting in my bag as well as a full USB of all the photos. And lastly, there are just no words for Gary who was our DJ for the evening. Besides being extremely professional, he was on top of everything. Kept the timeline for the evening to a perfect T ensuring the night went smoothly and without a hitch. He has an amazing voice and energy that just kept the night going. I provided a song list, hand picking every single song of the night myself. However we extended the reception by an hour and my song list ran out. I had chosen songs from the 60's through today's music and Gary used his knowledge and professionalism to play an additional 30+ songs on his own, all matching the types of music I had chosen. The dance floor was NEVER empty, not for one song and the venue basically had to kick us out as none of my guests (nor my new husband and I) wanted to leave. As they say, the food and music (ok, sometimes the bar as well) makes or breaks a wedding. Gary knocked it out of the park. Again, I still am receiving comments about how "off the chain the wedding was and that our DJ was the best they have seen". Even 4 weeks after our wedding, I have been in touch with Cliff and his communication does not stop simply because the event has ended. We are already talking about doing it again next year for our 1 year anniversary and I can say Total Entertainment DJ's will be the only call I make! Thank you Cliff and Gary!
