I've been going to Total Health Systems in Clinton Township for years, and I can't say enough good things about the care I've received. They've been a huge part of helping me manage my lower back pain, and I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. Dr. Snider is knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about his patients. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and provides treatments that have made a real difference in keeping my back pain under control over the years. I also highly recommend Sam, one of the massage therapists. Sam does an excellent job of targeting the areas that need attention and always helps relieve the muscle tension that contributes to my lower back pain. The massages are both therapeutic and relaxing, and they've become an important part of my treatment plan. The staff is always friendly, appointments run smoothly, and the office is clean and welcoming. Everyone here is super nice and welcoming! I highly recommend Jessica! You're asked a lot of questions to make sure you are receiving the best care and to make sure you are comfortable! You can either talk with the masseuse or ask for it to be a quiet session! I do suggest talking in a quieter voice (or not talking about private matters) due to the walls being so thin. Tipping depends on the masseuse! Mine had Venmo options (which is great because I forgot my wallet in the car at the time)! Been a patient over 5yrs Dr. Synder chiropractor is the best. But the PA in the past month told me to find another doctor there's nothing more than can do. I yelled at them how could they do this to me. A Christian girl that was never so scared.. they put me on a pill for gout that I just saw today the sore is big. They never cared to look at it. This is in Gods hands now. I started to hallucination i was so scared so I kept calling them frightened to call me PLEASE. THEY DIDNT. I have been coming here for years for massages and all staff are amazing and care about your well-being. Jessica is wonderful as well as Laura, Sam, Justin, and Holly. Honestly, every one of their LMT are fantastic!! I started chiropractic and PT services 5 years ago and it has made a TREMENDOUS difference in helping with my scoliosis. I had extremely bad neck strains and joints that were not leveled that are now aligned so much better! I will start by complimenting the front office staff. They are warm and inviting, always making me feel like family! Jennifer Lutz is the greatest, always so helpful, warm and willing to go the extra mile. I'm always greeted with big smiles and it seems the entire staff knows my name. I have had adjustments and massages with complete satisfaction. I recommend anyone curious on trying either of those services to do it! They offer annual Black Friday sales, giving great discounts on services. That's what brought me in initially. My latest experience has been nothing short of exciting and life changing! When I learned of the "first line therapy" for chronic disease management, I had to give it a try. Essentially I'm working with a wonderful, knowledgeable nutritionist professional to lose weight and get off these horrific pharmaceuticals today's modern medicine has many of us on. Saturday March 2. I went in today feeling like crap. I saw amino and by the time she was done I was walking upright instead of bending over. This place has miracle workers that do their best. And I truly believe that there isn't a better place to go if you're in need of physical therapy hands down the best. I wish I could give them a 100 star rating. I've been coming here for months and months now- this review is overdue. The staff here is helpful and pleasant- every time. If I have a question of billing- answered. Need a quick or future appointment- done. I can usually get in same day for most appointments. My chiropractors have always been good- Dr. Pam and Dr Jesse. They listen, assess, and treat. Dr Pam sees my children (9 & 4). I have done stretch therapy, massage therapy and also seen a PA.... All good. My new favorite person, Dr. Pan- acupuncturist helps me with my chronic muscle and nerve pain, incorporating Chinese medicine in line with my current medical regime (I see a couple different specialists for autoimmune conditions). Total Health Systems is the local gem for a person like me who needs various forms of treatment/relief- a one stop shop AND they accept my insurance !! read more

I have been getting a massage at Total Health Systems for years. And when I say years, I'm talking like 15+. What keeps me going back? The number one reason is Peter. Peter is THE BEST masseuse that has ever lived. I'll admit that the first few times I went to him, I was skeptical. He's got big sausage fingers, and hands that look like they could tear apart a phone book; but you know what? The only thing my dude Peter tears up are the knots in my shoulders and back! If I had an unlimited amount of money, I'd see Peter 5 days/week, and book him 2 hours per session (usually sessions are only an hour). He's that good. Nay. That GREAT! If you use insurance instead of paying outright, you will have to see a doctor every so often to talk about your progress, which blows. It takes away from my sweet, savory time with those pork chop hands tearing my back apart. But, it is what it is. The girls at the front desk are super friendly as well, and are always very helpful. Lastly, I haven't gone to a chiropractor there in quite some time, but when I did the adjustments were always nice. But listen, if you only need one reason to come here (and trust me, you do), it's to have Peter brake up the tension in your body, and long for the day you see him next! read more

I have went to Total Health Systems going on a year and a half. I have primarily saw Dr. Lundgaard. He is a true professional and truly cares for his patients. My particular situation is complicated but that hasn't deterred Dr. Lundgaard. He tries different techniques and never gives up. He adjusts my back more consistently then anyone. I've truly benefited from chiropractic treatment & will continue to visit as frequently as needed. I've also completed 10 weeks of PT and all the therapist are awesome! First visit here; came for 90 minutes of craniosacral therapy with massage techniques incorporated in the session. I saw Dena and she did a great job keeping me relaxed. The building offers many great services to help you get your health on track. It does get loud at moments where you could hear conversations but I wasn't bothered by it. I really enjoyed the type of music played during the session. The location is super easy to find and there's plenty of parking space in front and behind the building :). read more

Okay, so I am going to do something I very rarely do and admit that I was wrong and jumped to conclusions too early regarding this place. That doesn't change the fact that my initial experience was a bad one, but I have since gone back two more times and both were very enjoyable. Melissa and Jessica were both very friendly and knowledgable. Jessica especially as she went the extra mile and helped to find another massage therapist that specializes in Myofascial Release to help me with some nerve damage pain I have been dealing with in my left ankle. She could have just as easily told me that they did not offer those services and be done with it, but the fact she took the extra time to look around for me went above and beyond. Also I must thank Total Health Systems from the bottom of my heart for donating numerous gift certificates to us that we auctioned off at a fundraiser for my sister-in-law who is currently battling Cancer. They didn't even hesitate when my family went to them and they ended up being a huge hit. So to answer their question "Would you refer us to others?" I strained my neck last week to the point I couldn't even walk upright, sleep, or work without severe pain. My insurance requires a referral from my primary care physician in order to pay for chiropractic services so I made the first available appointment with my primary which was Friday, January 6, 2017. Unfortunately, my regular chiropractor could not fit me in until well into the next week. I had been a patient of Total Health Care about 10 years prior when I lived in the area and thought very highly of the staff and services. It is also 2 minutes away from my primary care physician. So I booked the first available appointment for an adjustment at 5:10 p.m. I walked in to the receptionist glaring at me as I approached the front desk. I did not even get my name out when she barked at me asking where my paperwork was. I was never told there was any paperwork to fill out - otherwise I would have done so. She abruptly slammed the clipboard down behind the desk and curtly told me that they close at 6, that it would take me at least 30 minutes to fill out the paperwork, and that she needed to be out of there by then so she was going to reschedule me. Wait, what? Back and forth we went over the fact that the booking person should not have booked me so late, that she should have emailed me and/or told me about the paperwork, that parking lot was still half full and she admitted that there were still patients in the back, and all sorts of other rude and highly inappropriate arguments to be having with a patient. She tried to throw the booking person under the bus by huffing that she is constantly booking appointments wrong and neglecting to inform patients about the paperwork. Really at this point what is this clandestine paperwork? Must patients write a manuscript for a simple adjustment? Finally, I told her that all this time she was spending arguing with me could be spent with me filling out the paperwork. I asked her for the clipboard (which she basically threw at me without a pen) and also if she could go ask the chiropractor if I could just get a quick adjustment. She came stomping back grinning and could not WAIT to tell me that she was going to have to reschedule me. Mind you this place is 45 minutes to an hour away from my house AND I had just spent $25 on a copay to get referred HERE. My insurance will only allow a referral to a specific provider. I informed her of this and asked if there were any other locations closer to my home. She immediately said no even though no one has ever heard of the town I live in. As an aside, it turns out there is a location in Washington which is about 15 minutes away. I certainly would have rescheduled there. The receptionist simply did not care at that point. I ended up just paying out of pocket and getting a walk in adjustment at some place in Rochester. Now I am out the $25 copay as well as $70 out of pocket for an adjustment and trigger point. I really cannot speak to the actual services provided by Total Health as they turned me away after making me an appointment. I guess if you have infinite time on your hands to come back day after day to get services then this place may be for you. Lastly, prior to writing this review I left a message for manager Jennifer Lutz to return my call. It has now been a week and she has yet to do so. If management sees this, I would suggest some additional training for your reception and booking staff as well as your manager. If my assistant made a mistake and booked a client too late in the evening, I would have stayed and honored the appointment as it was my office's mistake. I see that they were offering Groupons at some point. Perhaps more time spent on patient care and satisfaction would be a better investment than getting more people in the door only to turn them away. read more

I went to Total Health Systems a few days ago for both a chiropractic evaluation and massage and I was very disappointed. The chiropractor spent minimal time with me, maybe 10 minutes. I kept telling him that the area of pain was not improving with his adjustments, but he just tried to sell me on more sessions to come twice a week. It is sad when a therapy business clearly puts forth its profit motive over patient's well being. Rather than providing me with any daily advice for my pain, the chiropractor just said to visit them more often. For the massage, my masseuse was upsetting as well. She only completed 40 minutes of the "one-hour" massage, and she was constantly coughing and sneezing while massaging. Also, for the billing, I always pay the co-pays upfront, right after the appointment. And this time, I received a bill for over $100 in extra charges weeks after. The massage was supposed to be free and part of a promotional offer and the chiropractic evaluation was mostly covered by insurance, but Total Health Systems still sent me mysterious charges. Customer Service is non-existant!!! Purchased 2 groupons to try out the establishment. The massages were GREAT! My friend and I were not interested in the chiropractic evaluation or adjustment which came with the groupon. They would not honor our groupons or apply the original cost of the groupons to the massage charges!! I was told to contact Groupon for a refund!! I have never been treated so poorly! I have contacted Groupon to see what my options are at this point and will never utilize or recommend them again even though the massages were Great. read more

Dr. Jesse Snider has been treating me for several years. He is professional, friendly, and most importantly... a great chiropractor. I see Dr. Snider once every other week. With my bi-weekly adjustment, I am now pain and discomfort free. I feel better, sleep better, and think much more clearly. My problems began due to long hours at my desk. I have been coming here for massages for almost 10 years and love my therapist. 99% of the time I see the same therapist and love her. She's amazing! I get a hour massage here about every 3 weeks, never had to complain about anything. The massage is very professional, quiet, perfect pressure & technique. She always asks if anything is ailing me b4 starting to make sure she works more on those areas. I have seen a few other therapists other than my favorite Dena and they have all been great. Whenever I call for a appointment or while I'm checking in for my session I'm always greeted warmly. You can't go wrong getting a massage here, especially for the price. I always buy the gift certificate packages which means a hour long massage is only $40. You can watch for ads in your local paper as sometimes they run a coupon for $20 off per hour session. That's only $30 for a hour massage! My therapist tips me off when these are going to be in the paper, when they are I buy the max of 10 per person.
