We wanted to replace our windows and doors for our house so we contacted total home. They came out and gave us a quote. They provided the options for the designs and detailed information as to how much it would cost. It only took one day to get all the windows and door installed, they were very efficient. After a few months, we had a small issue with one of the windows. We contacted them and they quickly sent someone out to look into it. Service was great! Highly recommended. read more

I would like to express my gratitude to the whole team at total home windows and doors! Indeed, I was dealing with true professionals and got the windows installed exactly at the indicated time frame and the pane that i was longing for at least for a couple of years. It is called total slim and it looks like a European style and not the usual North American window that you can find almost everywhere in Canada. I was pleasantly surprised to see the final quote and this is during the unprecedented times when our south neighbor decided to impose tariffs. So definitely recommended! By the way, if you need to understand how each and every window opens, these guys have a huge showroom in Improve in Vaughan. Definitely worth visiting. read more

I contacted Total Home Windows and Doors for our windows replacement project, Lana got back to me very fast and we called to schedule an appointment for free quote witch took place the next day. The sale representative ( Daniel) Showed on time and took the measurement then he made suggestions on witch type of windows would work for us best and gave us a detailed price for each window. Yesterday was our installation day and Dimitry and his team did a perfect job, also the windows fitted perfectly. Does super shotty work. The frame will be a couple inches short what's does this guy do add some framing .....no I'll just foam it. Left Windows not plum or level. Then the kicker is I had a few of his guys come back by for him not paying them. Avoid this guy like the plague. Who doesn't pay his people. Especially when this guy barely lifted a finger when he was here. The most work he did was lifting a sandwich. One guy told him he was installing windows wrong he told him to shut up and put it in. We ordered 6 new windows. We asked for and were promised top of the line energy efficient ,double hung, triple pane glass windows, except kitchen awning, that would qualify for the full gov't $250 rebate. Not understanding the codes we asked him to write in layman's terms they were the ones that qualified for the full rebate and were the top energy rating. He wrote this on the top of the contract and provided detailed addendum. After receiving our deposit he said we were only getting single hung not the double hung we paid for and they did not want to reduce the price. The sales guy finally agreed to go from$7,500.99 to $7,331.44 (not fair market value but he had our deposit). On arrival, we called the energy evaluation company REEP Green Solutions (they were great) and provided them with the energy sticker number code to be sure we were getting what we ordered after our trust was broken by the stunt Total Home did to get our business and then try to cheat us. We were told by the energy company and the gov't website that only the kitchen window qualified. We asked him to send the windows we ordered and he refused claiming we had them. REEP then kindly dealt with him on the phone and by email providing proof/evidence they only qualified from an energy perspective for the lesser rebate. He still denied it and got mad at us. We then said we would not pay the full amount until we had the correct windows. He was angry and threatened the men would not leave our house until they received full payment. He followed through and the men refused to leave and we were pressured into paying the full amount only after the sales guy said that it would be corrected if we did not get proof by the $250 gov't rebate for each window that they were the correct windows. The rebate came back and for the windows we received only $125 for 5 of the 6 windows because they were indeed not the ones we paid for. We were again given the run around and refused access to management to escalate it. After much effort the company gave us the difference of the $125 rebate the gov't denied on 5 windows but still has not provided the actual windows we paid for or given us a price reduction for lesser quality windows. The windows did not all function properly (some with opening, some staying open). The installation/caulking peeled causing drafts and water leaks and damage. The warranty has not done us much good as when the service man came he did not bring supplies to fix it. We asked him why one of the bed room windows was heavier than the rest and he told us because the other large windows were double and not triple pane. He did not know that we had ordered all triple pane. He took a video of the window in our sons room sliding down when you open it for his boss. After the manufacturer came it stopped working literally the next time we tried to open it and they won't give us a date for a return service visit just said it is a long wait maybe 5 or 6 weeks. They all leaked and the kitchen so much it has grown fungus and damaged the wood. I am attaching a photo. Buyer beware we feel very disappointed and ripped off by this company. They have not been honest and our old windows were better than the new ones. Customer service has been horrible. There is not enough room to address all the issues here. Management at the window company have refused to speak to us despite emails and many phone requests. read more

I had received a quote from this company. When I called them to say lets go ahead, they said they low-balled me and can not honour their pricing they offered. The new price is 27.2% higher than the original. If you are interested in wasting your time, this is the place to go. To top it off, during the original presentation, I was told they use 4mm glass standard. In the phone call after, he said (as a method to attempt to justify the higher price) that they needed to UPGRADE to the 4mm. read more

Rob answered in a timely manner, requested more information and several photos to evaluate the job. He came up with a plan and costs that fit my budget. Set a date for work and he was on time and ready to work. Also had a few smaller jobs he was able to do for me at the same time. I had all my windows as well as my front door replaced. Vitaly did an excellent job of helping me choose the right products as well as getting me the best price. Previously I purchased a patio door from him and was glad to be able to work with him again. Edward and Mario came to do the install and were very courteous and efficient. It took two days to complete the job and they did an amazing job cleaning up everything.
