Great gym with an amazing owner who specializes in supplements. That's rare to find now a days so I definitely recommend them.

Been coming here for years, most authentic bodybuilding gym in Daytona Beach. NOT a commercial gym.

Best real gym in the greater Daytona Beach area. Especially for bodybuilders, powerlifters and serious athletes.

Update After Resolution…read more I wanted to update my review now that this situation has finally been resolved. I joined Crunch Fitness with personal training, but after requesting that my training be canceled, it was never properly processed. As a result, I continued to be charged month after month without authorization. In total, I was overcharged for 11 personal training payments, totaling approximately $700. When I finally discovered the issue, I was told by Chris Duncan on May 21 that my refund had been approved and would take 3-5 business days. Instead, weeks turned into nearly two months of unanswered emails, phone calls, and text messages. I was completely ignored while trying to recover money that should never have been taken from my account in the first place. The lack of communication and accountability created an incredible amount of unnecessary stress. I reached the point where I was preparing to hire an attorney simply to recover my own money. No customer should ever have to consider legal action just to receive a refund that has already been approved. The reason I am updating this review is because Jen completely changed my experience. She took my concerns seriously, listened, and made it a priority to help. Rather than passing the issue along, she contacted the owner directly. The owner then stepped in, contacted Chris, and ensured that my refund was finally processed. I have now received refunds for all 11 incorrect charges. I cannot thank Jen and the owner enough for stepping in and doing what should have been done from the beginning. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to make things right deserve to be recognized, and I am sincerely grateful for everything they did. That said, the overall experience has permanently damaged my trust. Being overcharged by hundreds of dollars, then being ignored for nearly two months after being promised a refund, is something I simply cannot overlook. While I appreciate that the situation was ultimately corrected, this gym is not the right fit for me, and I won't be returning. I hope my experience encourages Crunch Fitness to ensure that future cancellations are processed correctly and that customers never have to endure what I did to receive a refund they were already owed.

Despite that, I later found out that I had been signed into a 12-month contract. When I tried to cancel, I was told I had to pay a $200 cancellation fee. This is exactly the situation I tried to avoid when I signed up and made it clear I did not want a contract. In the end I'm paying the fee just to move on, but the whole situation felt very wrong. If you're signing up here, make absolutely sure you check the paperwork carefully before leaving because what you choose verbally may not be what ends up in the contract.

Level of attention from the training staff is consistently high, and it shows in the results people get. You can tell the trainers here built their experience over time and really earned their place. Noticeable progress came for me earlier than expected, somewhere in that range where most people usually fall off. I've worked with one of the trainers since early on, and seeing that growth and improvement through consistency and hard work is impressive. Nothing about the environment feels forced--it's the kind of gym you can expect results. All in all, if you're looking for a place that makes consistency feel sustainable, this is one I'd recommend.

I strongly advise anyone considering personal training here (Amped Fitness, Daytona Beach) to…read morecarefully review the cancellation policy before signing a contract. Ask them for all the policies in writing and ask for a day to read it all and you go back with your decision. If they do not accept your demands, do not sign any contract. The person responsible for all this is the manager T. Curtis I cancelled my personal training 12 days before the required 30-day cancellation notice period. I was asked to sign the cancellation form, and at no point during this process did he confirm if my account balance is current from outstanding balances, which is required for the cancellation to be effective. This requirement was not clearly stated on the document I signed at the time. I could have easily asked them to allow me to pay the remaining $100 on that day, that was easy for me to do. 2 weeks ago when I went in, they said I owe $500 and it is probably at $600 now climbing to $700. At the time of cancellation, I had roughly $100 remaining on my balance, and payments were scheduled bi-weekly. Even under normal circumstances, it would have been difficult to align the 30-day notice period with upcoming scheduled payments while also maintaining a fully current balance. After leaving the country, I later received an email stating that my outstanding balance needed to be current in order to exercise the right to cancel. My friend was going to another well known gym, bigger than amped fitness and he was required to pay future balance before cancelling. He was advised on these things and everything went smooth. As a result, the company stated that my cancellation was not valid and continued to pursue payments because I had already contacted my bank to block future charges because of all the reviews I saw on the internet about them so I did it as a safety net in case they tried it with me and yes they did. I subsequently began receiving repeated emails warning that the account could be sent to collections after 60 days. Note: I am not paying anything, they are free to send it to collections. Additionally, I was owed a $200 refund, which the company stated had already been issued. However, I did not receive it and ultimately had to dispute the charge through my bank. Overall, my experience felt unclear and inconsistent from start to finish. I strongly recommend that anyone considering personal training here carefully review all contract terms, ensure all conditions are clearly documented, and request written confirmation of cancellation requirements before signing anything.
