It took me two years before I got my neck injury diagnosed and I had been seeing a chiropractor without any improvement with neck pain. I was searching support groups for post concussion and craniocervical instability and found that there was a specialized chiropractor for upper neck but the nearest one was an hour away. I went to Dr. stein and felt truly heard about what I had been dealing with and his background was what I needed. After two sessions the most severe of the pain under my right side of skull improved. It had felt like I had a wedge there for 3.5yrs. I'm a difficult case with EDS and time passed making adjustments harder to hold but I'm making progress. Between the two of them, I was able to regain full use of my arm & shoulder. Before I began PT, I was barely able to drive, shower, do household chores, cook, or sleep without extreme pain. They are truly dedicated to helping people. My first day there, Erin developed an effective home exercise plan for me, which I will continue doing now that formal PT has ended. I went to acupuncture for the first time to treat and prevent chronic migraines and pain in my trapezoids/shoulders/upper back. While I can't speak to any changes in my migraines since I've had them for years and only been to one session, the pain in my traps, however, went away that very day and has not yet returned (4 days since visit). I will be returning in a couple days for another visit, before the pain has time to return but I still cannot get over the instant relief I felt after just one session and that it hasn't returned yet.
