One associated help me find some wine that wasn't even one of the wines they were showcasing. They had specials pricing on some wines. I believe i got a good value on my purchases. Total Wine wine tasting This was my first time experience at a wine tasting course at Total Wine. We arrived and quickly found an empty seat. It was in the back row. The place settings were all set up with two glasses for wines and a bottle of water as well as a book that we could follow along and take notes on during the class. To our surprise they had a nice charcuterie board set up with meat and cheeses, and also one set up for the dessert wines. The boards were really nice to have but the one thing we noticed was there was no crackers. It sure would've been nice to have some crackers with the meat and cheese or even a couple crackers to eat between wine tastings to clear our palette. The instructor, Mark, was very knowledgeable about each of the wines in the region that it came from.. The only negative thing I could even say about the course is if I did it again, I would not sit in the back row. We were always served last and our pours were way smaller than people in the front. Would I do it again, sure! It was a nice night out and we really enjoy trying the different wines and socializing with other people in the group. Aside from the wine tasting I do a lot of shopping here for different wines. I recently moved closer to this location and I love it! It's honestly just so much fun to walk around and look at all of the different drinks. They have THC drinks as well, which are interesting if you don't want alcohol. Last time I came, they had a promoter serving Kahlúa samples and giving out little tote bags. That was a lot of fun! I miss, Total Wine & More. When I use to live in STL, TWM was my go to for booze. I sure wish they'd open one on my side of the river. It was hosting a post holiday party and needed, Ranch Water for a special punch. After shopping several stores on the east side and having no luck. I took to the internet and searched for Ranch Water. TWM, popped up as a store that carried it. So, I decided to make a roadtrip and get my secret ingredient. Once I entered the store, I realized how much I missed shopping here. I went to the back and found my Ranch Water. Since I was there, I went ahead and got my other mixers for the party. I also browsed the rest of the store and drooled at the variety of booze aka merchandise. I also realized that the next time I need liquor, I am going to make the road trip to TWM. This store has the mixers that you need to make mix drinks. It also has tools such as beer and wine openers. I find the little bottles of alcohol and liquors to be a great idea. Of course, total wine has one of the best selections in the area. You do not grow a liquor store conglomerate by just stashing the basics. I have mixed emotions regarding the Brentwood location. I think the agave selection is lackluster. However, they do have a good rum and bourbon selection. And, they are one of the few places I can find Barr Hill Gin around here. Perusing the aisles is intoxicating (see what I did there). There are tons of unique offerings. I always find new liqueurs or spirits I add to list of wants. My biggest gripe is with the service I most recently received. I placed an online order and went to pick it up. Well, I clicked the little button they have to request service because there was not an employee at the counter. There was only 1 other customer in sight. Well, he was being helped with multiple employees just hanging out (3). But, none came to assist. In fact 2 of the 3 employees asked if I pushed the button. I notified them I did and they just kept about their business. I waited about 10 minutes until a worker finally came to retrieve my order. Either the employees were not equipped to help or the store has an inefficient online order system. Nonetheless, I will continue to patronize total wine because of the selection and convenience, but a bit of a sour taste was left in my mouth after this most recent experience, and it definitely wasn't the bourbon, lol read more

Full disclosure: I worked there for a short time. You can (and should) taste everything they are pouring. They pour wine at the wine tasting table and spirits at various locations throughout the store. Personally I find their prices quite high. The Spirits Manager here is disengaged, unfriendly, and mismanages stock -- even marking widely available bourbons like Buffalo Trace as "allocated." My recent experience was frustrating: I was told to return the next day for a bourbon release, only to find it had been put out the night before, contrary to what staff said. We keep giving them tries, and they always prove to not get better. I'll give them 5 stars for their alcohol, wine, and beer selection. It's awesome. Everything you could ever need in one place. But I'll be honest, their corporate customer service sucks. The people that work there are usually fantastic and helpful, but Management and higher doesn't really seem to care much about their customers. It started when they stopped the lotteries for the standard customers - you have to spend a LOT on alcohol to get access to that. Which sucks for the little guys. We really stopped shopping there after that and moved business to locally owned spots. This year, I wanted a *very* expensive bottle for my husband for our wedding day. I searched all over and unfortunately, Total Wine was the only spot that had it, so I sucked it up. They were REALLY nice that day because I dropped a couple thousand in one sitting, but follow up wasn't great. I got a $40 coupon for that purchase and the email said it was good until the end of the year. My account dropped it before then and they made a huge deal that it was a favor they were even going to give it to me because I used it late even though I had literally spent thousands there 60 days prior. What's worse is I had come in to buy a specific bottle (not allocated) before my account dropped the coupon and they didn't have it. I couldn't order it, they said they could order and call me when it was in, but if they had let me order it, it would have been fine. The managers always have an attitude with me it feels like. They feel very uptight and condescending. My husband and I are bourbon drinkers, have been for over a decade, and they always treat us like crap since bourbon got so big during COVID and they act like we're there to find all the allocations. Of course we love a good allocation, but we're not there to collect like all the people who picked it up in the last few years. We're there to try it. But they usually act like we have no idea what we're talking about. Idk. It feels like a big man's club. I placed a keg order with about 4 1/2- 5 weeks ago with this location as I had previous just ordered one from them back in march without issues. When returning, I ordered a 1/4 barrel of Coors light. I asked approximately how long it would take & was told about a week. No problem. After about 2 weeks with no call, I reached out to check in on my order & was left on hold for 10 mins for them to check to see if it had arrived. Eventually the line disconnected so I called back & a gentleman answered . I told him I had just been on hold while they were checking. His response was "is this the Coors light?" I said yes & he said it hadn't arrive & said it should be there within next few days. Another week & a half goes by still no call. I called to recheck & was told by the same man it hadn't arrived & looks like it wasn't on the order so he was gunna call rep & try to get in shipped for the following drop off. He said he'd call in the morning & never contacted me back again. This was the really crappy thing is I had ordered this due to a party we were having for Memorial Day weekend. I just called back to finally just cancel as it's been now a week & a half later with no freaking contact from them! It's a bit ridiculous! 3 times now I the customer have had to stay on top of a similar order I made 5 weeks ago! First it was it didn't arrive, second it's the distributors problem yet the order wasn't on their list of orders to distributors, & then he personally said he'd call back to confirm with me. When canceling the guy simply just said I'll cancel it. No apologize... nothing. Your store in Brentwood made my boyfriend leave because I was in line with him and didn't purchase anything and didn't have an ID, but there was a 12 year old behind me and they didn't cause any issues for their mother. This is discrimination. When I called Carrie the store manager to discuss this she couldn't provide me with a policy proving that one person could buy alcohol with a person without ID and another person couldn't due to the person's age. Located in the Brentwood Promenade. There is plenty of parking, sometimes the parking lot is a little crazy busy with all the other shops in the strip mall. I like this location, it consistently stays well stocked and they have a large variety of wines, liquors, beer, etc. to choose from. They move items around from time to time but I find that the employees are friendly and helpful and know exactly where to find the item I'm looking for. If the employee is unsure, which is rare, they will ask another co-worker for assistance. I usually call ahead to ensure that the item I am looking for is available before stopping in. Total Wine & More has the best bargain prices and they have several convenient locations. I was informed on my last visit that they'll let you try just about any item in the store..........Woooooow, good to know. I'm always looking for a new premixed cocktail. I like how they provide the option to buy one container of most of the items sold to try without being stuck with a four or six pack that you do not like. I also like the various sizes of alcohol that give you an option of mix and matching. For instance: they carry 3 different sizes of Bailey's. I will grab the small one if I want some Bailey's but not too much and still want to grab other liquors in the process. Some of the wines are the same way, LOVE IT!!! Lately I have been on this Cook's Spumante kick and they sell my bottle for $6.49 instead of the $8.99 price at Schnucks and $9.99 price at Dierbiergs. Anytime I have to grab a celebration gift of a particular item for someone, this is the first place I contact to see if the item is in stock. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. They are extremely rude and petty. Do not shop here. They treat their customers with extreme disrespect. It's embarrassing. Three of us walked in-all of age to drink. 2 of us (myself included) had IDs my other friend unfortunately left their wallet in the car. This friend is also SOBER and was NOT buying anything. We were all shopping in Brentwood for a birthday party. We were told to leave and couldn't buy any alcohol. I came back later by MYSELF. I waited in line only to be told once I got to the counter that the manager told the cashier not to let me buy the gin (clearly the gin that was being bought can only be found at your store so this is the only place we can buy it). Fix your shit management. Some tips as well...maybe ID at the door to prevent situations happening like this. And idk MAYBE the woman at the checkout could have said to wait 24 hours before trying again later to get the gin as a gift. Lastly, if it's that big of a deal to have someone walking around your store that doesn't have their ID put the sign somewhere bigger and higher on your door. I just had one of the most blatantly obvious discriminative experiences at this place. A Caucasian COUPLE was in front of me and my boyfriend at the register ( we are African Americans, obviously AT LEAST mid twenties). The man at the register did not ask for either of the couple's ID, the man asked if the cashier wanted to see it. Note, the cashier did not ask the woman for her ID and based on conversation they were BOTH very much intending to partake in consuming alcohol. It was my turn and immediately both my boyfriend and I were asked to provide ID. He accidentally left his at home, they said they couldn't sell it to us. That's policy so, that's fine I understand. But, when we mentioned that the previous couple wasn't asked for both the cashier stumbled upon a lie that SHE was HIS minor daughter?! 1. He didn't look anywhere near old enough to be her father; but even if he were 2. They were making googley-eyes and flirtatiously touching..... Even the people behind us thought it was ridiculous. So, my boyfriend leaves and I go back in (especially because they said it'd be fine for him to go out to the car or try and find it). By policy, I was now the only person in my party. I even called customer service and they stated it was the manager's discretion, but they wouldn't get the manager for me. BRENTWOOD LOCATION: I was excited when I received a gift card for this chain during the Covid era. Being that we were practicing safety for so long, I forgot I had been carrying the card in my wallet. I pulled it out and noticed that some of the numbers had worn away because it was in the wallet so long. I called the Brentwood location and spoke with a nice guy *Jason or Josh, can't recall, explained to him my issue, and he told me that that was no problem, to stop in the store and he or someone would gladly be able to assist me in recovering the number from the black strip on the backside of the card. I thanked him. A week later, I was in the area and stopped in to get the assistance I needed. I was met by a *pleasant young lady who was offering customers sample wines. I declined and walked over to customer service where the rep JESSICA was helping another customer. I waited behind him, and she looked at me and said bluntly "Do you need help?" (duh, I was in the CS line). I said, yes, but I can wait until you finish with the customer ahead of me. She then proceeded to finish with him, when her manager came up, walked in front of me as if I wasn't standing there (no excuse me or pardon me) and told her she had not clocked in or something to that effect, and walked off. He later came back and handed the customer something and both left the area. JESSICA then looked at me and said nothing at first, then I walked closer to the counter, and she then acknowledged me. I told her my issue as I handed her my card, and she looked at it and said dryly "hold on", and then said the numbers were smudged and there was nothing she could do, handing me the card back. I told her of my conversation with Josh/Jason. I waited as she fiddled with the register, and stood there looking at me like I knew what she wanted me to do next, I asked her was she ready for me to slide the card, again, I got dry response"yes". I did just that and the card showed it was still active. I then asked JESSICA if there was anyway the card numbers physically or could they be pulled up so that I could put in in my Google Wallet to scan for future purchases. She was condescending saying she had no idea, that's over her head. Holding my composure, I was like let me leave this place because her attitude is just atrocious. I stopped for a moment and looked at her name tag and punched it in my phone ...thanked her and asked her how to get out of the store..... that's when she got very customer friendly when she realized I jotted down her name. The last time I reviewed Total Wine & More, I only gave it four stars. I don't know what I was thinking. After coming back several times, okay it's once a week, I have got to raise them to five stars. They really do have it all. We came here to find dark cherries for manhattans and they had them. We came looking for certain bar tools specifically a glass mixing pitcher for the manhattans and they had that. We looked for Moscow Mule Mugs and they had them. If you don't see a specific item, ask and you shall receive. We also found where you put the shopping carts in the parking lot - it's off to the side of the building. Will I come back here? This is now the 2nd time I've been treated poorly here... so maybe I don't come back. A while ago, I asked an employee in the store: "Do you carry wine shippers? Boxes for shipping bottles?" The answer I got was: "It's illegal to ship alcohol in Missouri." I was about to explain what I planned to do with the boxes, which wasn't any illegal activity (BTW... Total Wine employees... not a pinnacle of legal knowledge), and was interrupted with: "It's illegal to ship alcohol in Missouri." Like I was wasting his time or something. So I asked him: "I'm sorry, did I ask you about the legality of shipping alcohol in this State, or did I ask if you carried shipping boxes?" And just walked away since I guess I got my answer, but in an incredibly rude way. And then more recently: I made an online order one evening at 7:00PM. Their site says orders are ready in 24hrs, but if made by 5:00PM, they will be ready by 10:00AM the next day. Cool... but I was a little late. I live an hour away, and was planning to pick my order up around 1:00PM. So I called the store at 10:00AM in the morning to see if there was any possible way it could be ready by then. Before I could finish my request, I was flat interrupted with 'No.' I attempted to, in the nicest tone, continue explaining my situation, and was again interrupted with 'No.', and a short explanation of why it would be unfair to process my order out of order from when it was received. Realizing there was no interest to listen to me, I just responded: 'Okay.' and hung up. I got an email 15 minutes later that the order was ready. If she had taken the 30 seconds to listen to me... look up my order in another 30 seconds... see it was being picked WHILE SHE WAS ON THE PHONE WITH ME, then she could have let me know everything was cool. She was disinterested in me as a customer, didn't care to provide ANY service whatsoever, and it makes me consider no longer being a customer. read more

Holy-holy-crap. This is easily the largest beer, wine, and alcohol store that I've ever seen. The "build your own" craft beer section is two large, giant aisles. You can build your own six pack or just pick up single bottles of beer and cider that you want to try. Each one of the single bottle beers includes a tag that includes a rating from an online service (I forgot which one) and the entire paragraph that summarizes the taste of the beer. While I'm sure it's probably cheaper to pick up entire six packs of a single flavor, their impressive single bottle selection makes it super easy to pick up smaller amounts of alcohol if everyone in your party drinks something different. Lots of miniature alcohol bottles to choose from if you just want a tiny bit of a drink as well. Great selection of local beers as well. Lots of six packs to choose from if you're from out of the area and what to taste what the local brewers are up to. No wait in line, either - even on a Saturday. Basically feels like the "Wal-mart" of alcohol. I can't imagine not being able to find something here. I have also been able to sample and purchase drinks I didn't even know I needed. The store is huge and I think I spent an hour browsing the last time I was there. Whatever you are looking for you will be able to find as everything is organized well. When looking for anything specific you can ask for help and I am sure they will be able to help you. I was looking for a specific winter blend of whiskey last month, but they did not have it. I asked and the guys helping me even made sure to look up their inventory to make sure we didn't miss it. I placed a large order and they placed a hold on my bank account which is fine. However once they filled my order they ran my card 2 more times charging my bank account over $2 THOUSAND dollars. It took 3 days for one of the charges to come off. But a week for the other bad charge placing my bank account negative. Causing me to bounce checks, have to run around transferring money. I had No access to any of my money in my bank for a week. Only thing they said was sorry.. but no one would fix the issue. They blamed the bank, when they ran my card 3 times for $750 each time. The worst experience and I will never ever give them my business again. Horrible customer service and they made zero attempts to fix things.. not many people have that kind of money sitting around that they can afford $1500 to just disappear from your bank! On a Saturday evening ready to keep the party going & headed to a buddies home to watch Amy Schumer/Live at the Apollo - I wanted to stop and purchase a dessert wine for a Hostess gift. I had no idea that Total Wine & More ("TWM") was open but I was wow'ed at the selection and it saved me an additional stop. First things first this place is ginormous and this isn't the basic liquor store; the selections are vast and items range from wines, beers, table snacks and even a humidor for top-of-the-line cigar aficionado's. TWM does weekly tasting classes and special events so they make a huge effort here to let customers learn about beers, wines and cigars. The classes are held in a warmly decorated education room that can be rented out for parties or meetings and they don't charge for them Looks like TWM even makes a strong effort to keep selections from local breweries and the like. I don't drink beer but I've never seen a wide selection like this. For your sampling pleasure they even let you customize your own case so you can take the classics that you know and love and mix them up with a variety of other seasonal and small batch craft brews. The beers range from USA, British, Belgium, Mexican, German, Japanese, Chinese, Guatemalan, Italian and Nicaraguan...a huge array. TWM has even reached out to local wineries as I noticed some regional wine blends as well. When I entered I was stared at (not greeted warmly) but that changed when I encountered other sales associate's. The prices are higher than you will find at a big box club for the same items - so keep that in mind. Check out was quick and friendly and they made sure to alert me of Grand Opening sales. I walked away with two great dessert-paring wines. I look forward to taking a class or two as well. With the holiday season upon us, this s a great one-stop shop for hostess gifts or to keep yourself warm on STL winter nights or to kick off a football gathering. So I've been hearing great things about Total Wine & More from several friends lately and today I finally checked them out. I think it's fair to say that the rumors are true! Total Wine & More is kind of amazing. And by "kind of amazing", I mean "it IS amazing!" This place is great! There's every kind of liquor, wine, mixer, and accompanying snacks imagineable at TWAM. There's also complimentary tasting samples almost every where you turn! Basically imagine Sam's on Saturday but with all alcohol! I had several wine samples today and a margarita sample while there. I passed on a scotch sample that someone else requested at the tasting bar, but if I had wanted it, it was available too! The other thing that I love about this place is that they offer a wide variety of sizes and price ranges of their liquor. From shooters to large bottles, and everything inbetween. They have it, and at a reasonable price! I was excited to see a wide variety of local wines too, AND at a lower price than at local grocery stores. In fact, every popular moderate-price-range brand that I normally see at Walgreens, CVS, or the grocery stores were all at TWAM and at a lower price. All of the wine prices were at least $1-$3 cheaper than at local chain stores. The staff were all friendly and constantly walking down the ailses providing assistance and recommendations. And I also really liked that wine flavor descriptions and actual staff recommendations were posted in the aisles for many wine selections to give you an idea of what you're buying and what to try. I didn't know it until today but I know now that I have found my new favorite liquor emporium in TWAM! Me love you long time. read more

Total Wine and More... Way more! I like wine. Check. What's more? Let's find out. I first ventured into this store right before Thanksgiving. I was looking for a bottle of wine that would go great with turkey. The store was busy but a very helpful associate took me under his wings and educated me about some of the options that would go well with turkey. He made some suggestions for wine that are at a lower price range, mid and then some that were slightly on the expensive side. I picked up a bottle of the pricier cabarnet to keep at home and enjoy and bought a couple mid-range priced to take to dinner. I was very impressed with the type of service I received that day and was meaning to come back. Tonight, I did and also explored the store while I was there. My first visit was more of a rushed visit because it was very busy and I had some other errands to run. This time, I took my time and did some browsing. There are aisles upon aisles of wine, well-sorted and organized (reds, blends, whites, dessert wine, wines from different countries, you name it and they most likely will have it). Then there's the aisles of different beer. And then... Out of the corner of my eye, I see something resembling a throne but in a bottle. They actually have a couple of Game of Thrones themed beer and other GoT merchandise. I had to take a photograph or two amidst the excitement! I am not a beer drinker but I kind of wanted to buy one and try it. Maybe next time. For tonight, I settled on a bottle of white wine. While checking out, I also noticed a wide variety of little travel bottles of liquor. While we are talking liquor, they have plenty of them, too and a cigar humidor. Best price & best quality in town! Staff doesn't make you feel dumb if you are not a wine expert.

Selection is good but customer service not .Accidentally grabbed the wrong beer and wanted to go switch it with the one I wanted after already putting the beer on the check out belt , Cashier was rude and told me I couldn't leave my stuff when it literally took less then one minuet to swap the beer . Asked the guy behind me if it was ok to switch beers real quick and he didn't care . She seemed to be in a hurry to close her register and didn't care about the customer first Not sure if I will continue shopping here since every time I come I have a negative experience less less then friendly cashiers read more
