I seldom come here unless I'm looking for something special or specific. Today I wanted to get the caramel vodka from Veil. Even though the store is big it's easy to find what you're looking for because it's organized and the aisles are labeled accordingly. It's cool that they offer tastings here! Last time I stopped by they let me taste all the tequilas from the Pantalones line. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. If you sign up for their rewards program you get points for every dollar spent and special discounts. read more

They have a good variety of stuff and I really like how everything is nice and neat.. each category kinda have its own section. The tequila was easy to find. Wanted to try the pantalones and was not disappointed! Went down really smooth. I only tried the reposado. Would like to try the anejo next.. They have good prices sometimes when you order online and pick up in store. They also have a rewards program thing to earn points and they send you deals. Also sign up for the rewards cus for your birthday you can get a $15 wine for 5 cents.. I went in for that and just asked for the employee to suggest something for me. Nothing too sweet nor too dry.. went with the Pinot noir Caliveda.. she said it won an award.. tried it when I got home and it was not bad! And the fact it was only 5 cents... even better! 1 STAR - Extremely frustrating and unnecessary experience. I went to Total Wine today with my family, and we arrived separately. I was already at the register checking out when my 13-year-old nephew briefly walked over to me because his mom had told him to ask me something. He was NOT buying alcohol, touching the alcohol, or receiving anything from me. He literally just walked up to me for a moment after I had already been ranged up and ID us.The employee immediately tried to ID him. He is 13 -- of course he does not have a driver's license or adult identification. Because he couldn't provide an ID, they refused to complete MY purchase. What makes this even more frustrating is that Total Wine's published policy states that people under 21 are allowed in their stores when accompanied by an adult guardian of legal drinking age, while also stating that they may require all parties in a group to provide identification. My nephew was not part of my purchase. He was not attempting to buy alcohol. He simply walked over to ask me something. The employee immediately tried to ID him and then refused to complete my purchase because he is 13. The way the male employee and manager handled this situation was completely unreasonable and made absolutely no sense. We have seen plenty of families with young children in the store, and they were not treated this way. So why was my purchase stopped because a 13-year-old family member simply walked up to me? If this is Total Wine's policy, then it needs to be clearly communicated and applied consistently. His parents arrived with him and put their purchase back and he was letting me know they are leaving And for anyone wondering why we didn't just leave him outside -- it was over 100°F. They would absolutely not leave a 13-year-old sitting alone in a dangerously hot car just so they can purchase something inside. I completely understand being strict about preventing alcohol from getting into the hands of minors. But there is a huge difference between a minor purchasing/receiving alcohol and a child simply approaching a family member at the register. This could have been handled with basic common sense and a simple explanation instead of making a customer feel like they were doing something wrong. Extremely disappointed with how the employee and manager handled this. The manager and staff need better training and are incompetent. They need to use common sense when dealing with families. They obviously seen he wasn't with us and knit picking who to decline service to. I also couldn't help but notice that families of different backgrounds (white people obviously) have been allowed to shop with their children without being subjected to this same treatment. I cannot say why I was treated differently, but the inconsistency was concerning and left me questioning whether this policy is being applied equally to all customers. read more

I visited this store today looking for a specific product, but I couldn't find it, so I chose a similar item and proceeded to check out. While I was paying, I asked the cashier if he knew when the product I wanted would be back in stock. He wasn't sure, so he called over another employee who appeared to be the manager. This employee had already seen me standing at the register paying for my items and waiting for them to be bagged. When he came over, instead of greeting me professionally, he abruptly asked, "What do you need?" in a rushed and unfriendly tone. As I was holding the items I had just purchased, he then asked, "Are you buying those?" When I replied yes, he immediately asked, "Where's your receipt?" At that moment, the cashier realized he had forgotten to hand me my receipt. He quickly gave it to me and explained to the manager that I had already paid for my purchase. The manager responded by saying he had seen me carrying the items and walking toward the exit, apparently assuming I hadn't paid. Being questioned like that in front of other customers was embarrassing and made me feel as though I was being treated like a shoplifter, despite having done nothing wrong. Afterward, he returned to my original question about the product I was looking for. He simply told me they no longer carried that brand. When I asked if he knew when it might be back in stock or if there was a similar alternative, he replied "no" in what came across as an annoyed and dismissive manner. He didn't make any effort to check the inventory system or offer any assistance. I understand that mistakes and misunderstandings can happen, and I appreciate that preventing theft is part of a store's responsibility. However, there's a respectful and professional way to handle those situations. Unfortunately, the way I was treated left me feeling embarrassed, judged, and unwelcome. I left the store feeling genuinely disappointed. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reminds employees that good customer service includes treating every customer with respect and professionalism. read more

So today I went in for a few items. I am not a person who enjoys hard liquor, vodka, or beer. But I stopped in to pick up a few items for a family event. I also wanted to grab a small bottle of rose to make a mimosa, that I occasionally enjoy lol. Any way, this is my third time visiting this store and I have to admit it is not a very welcoming vibe. Employees always seem busy stocking shelves, or chit chatting with each other. I've never been greeted upon entering, and never been asked if I need help locating something. I almost always have to ask, along with other customers who wander around looking for whatever they are there for. Lines tend to be long at times, with only one cashier. There is never an apology for the wait, as with other establishments. But on the plus side, there is a large selection of items. And when I do ask for help, the employee is always polite and will show me where an item is and hand it to me. So, as I do not frequent this place too often all I can really suggest is better customer interaction. read more

My husband and I went because there is a Sister store that just has wine no tasting grape tray, which is nice friendly place to go grab a nice bottle of wine. Very knowledgeable people who love wine and the owner. Went for the tasting at vintage wine and had an absolute blast. Walked away with three bottles of affordable and very tasty Chardonnay. Look forward to picking up some reds next time great place to bring guest that come into town very family oriented.As customers we went for tasting it included Two high-end reds and one white, but they change that all the time and they were high-end wines. The owner is fantastic Also wanna throw out some credit to her volunteer servers that were very knowledgeable and friendly and sincere. I walked in without being ID. Went here today with family. Didn't buy drinks asked questions. Everyone was at the register and some of us didn't have ID told us that we all needed. The register person said everyone walking in gets id but no one stopped me at the door. I told her well I can step aside with the other people that didn't have ID also keep in mind I'm from LA so I was just visiting. She said manager needed to ok the transaction. Cashier Nikki was very rude the whole transaction and had a very bad attitude. :Nikki was upset that her light was on and when we went up to the register she gave me attitude and said "I guess I'm still open" I let Nikki know her light was still on and Nikki had the WORST ATTITUDE the rest of the transaction. Nikki is a terrible employee and definitely SHOULD BE fired. Nikki is so rude and has a stank attitude and SHOULD either BE let go or Nikki SHOULD BE re-trained in customer service. Me and my husband normally love coming here for their wine and selection of beers, but we had a horrible experience with one of the workers. He was a shorter black man who came up to us (and reading the reviews he is obviously a problem for more than one person) and said we have been there three times this month. We thought he was being playful but then he started talking about us having a "problem" and that we are in here too "often." He wasn't even laughing or smiling, just looking at us confused. Completely horrible comment to say to someone when you work at a place filled with alcohol. We normally love coming here and gifting our family their wines and seltzers, but after that he said it was "too much" And then shook his head and said walked off. The Black Bald Male that was walking the floor (I don't know his name) was very hostile and irritated me. I pressed the "call associate" button because I wanted a bottle of Clase Azule solely for the reason because the bottle is pretty. When he came up and I told him which one I wanted he immediately asked me "why?" And I told him because the bottle was pretty. He the went on to state that "a good bottle of repasado should cost about $60" and then he finished by saying "go to the front and tell them you want the trash stuff in the pretty blue bottle"... keep in mind I drink patron and buzzball I don't give 2 rats asses about "quality" I just want it for the bottle. His demeanor was very rude and hostile and tried very hard for me to buy the bottle. If you want anything special or hard to find, unless you spend a lot of money with them in a year time to get their "Grand Reserve" membership status you can't. I walked into Total Wine Fresno on Tuesday, March 25 around 9:40 PM, expecting to grab a $70 bottle of mezcal and bounce. Instead, I was met with profiling and passive aggression--served by who I later realized was the store manager. She told me the bottle wasn't in stock in a passive way--even though it showed available online and in-store when they looked. Two other employees (shoutout to the real ones) stepped in, got on a ladder, and we tracked it down in the same section she already checked. The gentleman showed initiative, professionalism, and respect in comparison to their management. When I finally got to the register, the manager tried to block the purchase using the "minor accompaniment" policy, despite the young adult with me being my daughter. She had the cashier awkwardly question me while she stood in the background, visibly upset. After the transaction went through, she walked off in front of the main register area, glaring at me the entire time. The energy was aggressive and unnecessary. It felt like an attempt to assert power, not enforce policy. And frankly, it was insulting. I didn't make a scene. I almost told her to Google who I am--but I kept my cool, because that was just my ego talking. The two male employees handled the situation with grace and composure, and I'm grateful for that. If they hadn't, this could have gone a very different direction. Very bad experience for a 40-year-old man! Total Wine: I'm a loyal customer. But this experience was unacceptable. I respect rules and understand the need for caution--but this wasn't that. This was poor judgment, poor etiquette, and poor leadership. Train your managers to lead with professionalism and tact. Total Wine & More is mine and my husband's favorite place to shop for beers, wines & liquor. Their price point is pretty fair. Items- When I walk in, I am overwhelmed by the abundance of beverages. I went recently during Christmas time and there's everything you can think of for anyone. Sections are categorized. You walk in and there's a whole wine section, then there's a tequila section. They even have my girl, Kathy Hilton's tequila, Casa Del Sol. All the way to the back are the margarita salts and club sodas as well as the mixers, in other aisles there are cognac, rum, vermouth, brandy and near the front are all kinds of craft beer. We love getting our craft beer from here. I picked up a Firestone limited edition stout. Service- The workers are so friendly and helpful. You didn't have to go searching for them. There was someone to help in every other section. We don't come as often, but it's always a go to for gifts. read more

They are quick, helpful when you need a suggestion, and have always had good, if not excellent customer service when checking out. Their selections of wines and liquors far surpass that of other liquor stores in the area, and I love the option to order online and pick up in store. The online ordering allows you to be able to check out other people's reviews of the wine, liquor or beer you're interested in and as we all know reviews can be extremely helpful! I like that they have a small selection of cheeses, cured meats and chocolates at the register. If you can't run by a grocery store or deli (where they certainly have a larger selection of these food items) you can at least grab a little something to satisfy your hunger there as well. Last time I was in I utilized their champagne chiller. Such a great idea! It quickly chills your champagne while you're in line and then it doesn't have to sit in the fridge for hours to chill out before serving. It is emerged in water though, so be prepared for a potentially soggy label (no big deal unless maybe you're giving the bottle as a gift and wanting it to still look brand new). I also recently went in to get a bottle of good tequila to drink straight. After paroozing the aisle for a couple minutes an employee approach asking if I needed help (probably could see how lost I was...) and he confidently guided me to a wonderful tequila. He asked what my price range was and what I was using it for, both really important questions! All in all Total Wine is my favorite place to pick up any sort of alcohol. Their prices are usually cheaper by some degree than their competitors, the location is always clean, and the customer service is always friendly. read more

Decided to get a few items at this place. When Me and my pregnant gf got to the cashier, they asked if we had a membership. My gf told them her membership. They asked for my ID and I showed them. Then they asked for my gf's ID but unfortunately forgot her ID at home. They refused to sell us the item we wanted to get because my gf didn't have her ID. It's dumb how they didn't want us pay without my gf's ID because she literally had a membership there and if they thought she was a minor, how would have she gotten her membership there? Any other store who sells alcoholic beverages doesn't ID everyone in a group but for some reason this place does. Later on, I dropped off my gf at home then went back but they still refused to sell me the item I wanted to get. I was so furious at this time because their policy is so dumb! So let's just say, I went back and it was a different cashier, would've they let me get the item? Most likely yes because they didn't know the situation the first time I went. My boyfriend went into the store yesterday and came out very upset. The cashier refused to allow three African American young men to purchase high end liquor. She Ashe "group ID'd" them, a term I've never heard. She asked all three of them for IDs when only one was purchasing. My boyfriend asked her why she did that. And asked if he came in with his 20 yr old son who did not have an ID would she do the same. She said there were exceptions to the rule. Moreover, they break up aisles by regions and types of wine which is really nice. Aside from the above, a huge plus and a big reason why I'm giving this place 5 stars is the customer service. What makes the customer service exceptional is that the employees on the sales floor really know their wines/products and provide great information related to the wines, so you can pick the perfect bottle. The place is definitely like a candy store for drinkers. Rows and rows of headache juice too numerous to count. And a big sign out front should say no alcoholics allowed. A store clerk, very dignified asked if I needed help. He had his act together. Party beverage, oh yes, let me direct you to the mass quantity less expensive tequila. Bingo! And then to the margarita mix which looked like floor cleaner, but at a killer good value price. The best part was I found a very good and very cheap Irish whiskey all by myself. Haven't been in here for years but decided to give it a shot again so I can try the hyped up Travis Scott Cacti (made by Anheuser-Busch) which I believe is only available in a few select stores. The store is clean for the most part, selection is quite abundant and staff have been helpful. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is due to their pricing. I understand that they are situated in Riverpark, etc but so are other big ticket stores so one would think they could at least be competitive. They do have special discounts every now and then but not very often. I signed up today for their rewards program so we'll revisit this review in a few months or so to give an update. read more

I had just discovered Moravia wines at a wine tasting event 2 months ago but I honestly didn't want to make a trip to Costco to buy it or drive out to the winery itself to buy it. I was excited when the winery owners told me that Total Wine & More would be featuring the brand in June. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly staff member that helped me locate where this brand was in the store. The prices are a bit more than I typically spend on a bottle but it really is a wonderful wine worth the cost. I came to Total Wine & More after work one evening at around 6:15pm. I entered and I was instantly overwhelmed with all the Wines and Alcohols. After walking aimlessly for 10 minutes trying to find a Wine Shoe holder dazzled style for my boss for Social Worker Appreciation month, I was greeted by an employee who helped me graciously, I forgot his name but he deserves a bonus. He found the Wine Holder shoe I was looking for and in formed me the price. He answered all my questions without hesitation. I selected my shoe pictured and ran into the same employee who helped me and inquire if they had pre made wine baskets. My helper was unsure and another employee directed us to the back of the store to which they only had one wine basket in store priced at $26 something. I took it without hesitation. I was in awe that they even made wine baskets. I needed a few more bottles for wine for our appreciation to our supervisors and I literally went down every aisle possible and realized I was an adult kid in wine heaven as I wanted to try everything. Any who I wandered into the aisle where my helper was stocking wines and I could not find the Stella Rose. So I asks him where it was located he said right below me and talked about how other wines were better...than Stella Rose which was the Rosa Imperiale with an e. So I bought two with one being for me. On my way out I saw the Sugarfina Rack which if you lived in LA know that Sugarfina is a luxurious candy which certain candies were on sale for $2.00 usually $9 so I had to get them since they were on sale. They also had Scotch Cordials with real Scotch in the middle, so delicious but for the HUGE box was $21 dollars which I sadly had to pass on but if they had the small box it so would have been worth it. After raiding the Sugarfina rack I went to check out and signed up for their rewards program which only took 5 minutes. I had a great experience here and I will be back sooon! Since they opened up this has been my new go to. They have a huge inventory of beer wine and liquor. The employees have pointed me to a few new options that weren't on my radar and they have all been spot on. They tend to be very busy so availability of staff can be an issue at times, but it's understandable with the volume of customers that flow through the location. This is the best of the large chain stores that are in the market. The only issue they have is that small or limited release items don't last long on their shelves because so many people walk through their door.
