The street is reached from Interstate 75 by taking the Man O' War exit - the name, of course of another iconic great horse in Kentucky and American racing history. So much awesomeness before even reaching the store. Total Wine, of course is the supermarket of spirits and wine, with many locations in multiple cities and states. Love love love this store! The inventory and selection is out of this world and the customer service is top notch. While I am not the most knowledgeable about wine I always receive excellent advice from the store associates. They carry a huge selection of bourbons as well. If cigars or beer is your thing, don't worry- they have you covered. Beers can be bought as singles so you can make your own six pack selections or you can get kegs- along with normal packaged quantities. If you need snacks or gourmet cheeses and smoked meats for your party, they have those as well. Check them out soon! read more

Bourbon/Whiskey class was great. The host was an expert in history and industry. We were guided thru a tasting identifying flavors (palate) and smells (nose), proofs = 80 - 102, processing. I didn't really but was wondering how a certain bourbon tasted and he called the significant other to get their opinion! I have never seen so much liquor in one place . It was like sensory overload. My eyes didn't know where to go to first . I just walked up and down the lanes looking at everything and anything. I finally ended up at the refrigerated section where they had huge bottles of champagne. I just stared at those for a minute trying to think of a reason to buy a bottle . I decided to stop by Total Wine to look for Rivulet Liqueur. The liqueur was recently featured in a Virtual Yelp event in Louisville. I don't purchase spirits often and an employee offered to take me straight to the product. The variety of spirits offered here is overwhelming, but whether you are a novice or proficient drinker you will find something that appeases your palate. The store was festive, neat, and orderly. I found myself in Hamburg today and stopped at Total Wine. I had previously been to the Lexington Green location searching for a specific wine. This department store of wine can be overwhelming, and I didn't want to spend a lot of time wandering around. Once upon a time, Lexington only had Liquor Barn as our mega liquor store. Now, we have Total Wine & More. Not only do we have this newest location in Hamburg, but we have two TW locations. I'd been to other TWs out west and even the one in Louisville. Like the one in Louisville, our Lexington locations have THE BEST bourbon selection. My husband loves their cigar selection. They have a humidor room. You walk in and choose the cigar of your choice from the variety of boxes and then grab a ziplock bag by the humidor room door. read more

While I had read some positive reviews of Total Wine & More, I hadn't "shopped there" until yesterday. Prompted by a Facebook ad which said that they delivered, I decided to give that option a try, given the potential traffic nightmares this close to Christmas. I placed an order for several large bottles of La Fin Du Monde* around 1:00 p.m. and opted for a delivery window of 4:00-6:00 p.m. About 3:50, I received a text that my order was on the way and a few minutes later it arrived, right on time, delivered by a professionally dressed, friendly gentleman. Perfect service in every way and a great way to avoid Christmas traffic! *A Canadian brew from Quebec, in the style of a Belgian Triple, at 9% alcohol by volume, it means business. There was a wine and spirits tasting today, Friday 2pm and all of the staff was amazing. Every person we spoke with was exceptional. The tastings were great too and we ended up leaving with a box filled with 8 bottles. It was our first time in Kentucky and we wanted to try some local selections to take home to Louisiana. It's so big, and they have so much selection, plus the prices are amazing; so, sometimes you just have to do a big shop at this spot. Unfortunately, when I visited I discovered they had sold out, but I did use my visit as an opportunity to do a quick walk through of the store to see their offerings, and it was great! I was excited to see this store open on this side of town. I had been to the one in Lexington Green and was impressed. This location did not disappoint. The staff is great friendly, knowledgeable, approachable and most of all helpful. You will most likely be asked if you can be helped, if not you can find someone easily and they will point you toward the section you are looking for or make a suggestion on the wine you might like. They have tastings at set hours and days every week. So you can try something new for free! They have have different stuff in wine, liquor and beer. They will have the standard names/brands of alcohol that you are looking for, but they will have some stuff you haven't seen in this area before too. The atmosphere is awesome. Very clean and neat with dressed up shelving. You will want to hang out and shop. There is not a lot of "food" here, there are some fun snack pairings, this is a liquor store. Parking is easy. I have friends who have tried the "classes" on booze history and various "pairing" and I have that on my "to-do" list. There are several liquor stores in this area that can serve your needs (I've been in all of them LOL), but pop in here, you will find something fun. read more

Total Wine & More is a great store. It is like Liquor Barn, but delivers to my house when I order $100 of goodies. LOL! It is located in a shopping plaza near Meijers in the Hamburg area. They allow curbside pick up for a gal on the go and delivery. They have every wine/booze you can think of. I am a huge fan. The store layout makes sense and is spacious. The whole shop was super clean and that is a big plus in my book. They really give Liquor Barn a run for their money and that place is like the alcoholic mecca. The people here are great and knowledgeable. Everyone is helpful and they all go out of their way to help the customer. That is super impressive. They have odd little gifts and cards. I didn't get the hype at first; it's not that I was avoiding Total Wine, but I didn't make a point to check it out until one day I was in the area and got curious. OH. MY. GOSH. The store is so beautifully laid out and each section has been curated in a creative way that pays homage to the country or the product. Every employee is helpful and seemingly knowledgeable. Having multiple tasting areas makes shopping feel less like a task and more like a fun outing. The build-your-own 6-pack section is HUGE and I really like the section dedicated to last-chance seasonals. Everyone raves about the pricing being better than elsewhere but honestly, I've only noticed marginal differences on the things I buy, so once again the experience determines the value, not the price. read more

This is like a department store for wine and liquor. What's not to like?! The Hamburg location is large and very well organized. They have virtually every type of wine you can imagine. All of the wine is grouped by type so it makes it easy to find what you're searching for. If you're like me and know NOTHING about wine, they have employee favorites labeled. There's also a large section for liquor, again grouped by type. Also, they offer a variety of beer and various party favors for your wonderful quarantine shindig. I honestly was a Liquor Barn fan UNTIL I visited this place. Now honestly evaluating prices... not a huge difference. The organization, presentation, and sheer ambiance of the store is a major plus. They do seem a step above LB but it's in what you want out of your experience. If you want a bottle of bourbon to just drink... ok go to LB but if you want a BOTTLE OF BOURBON to sip on while you sit by a roaring fire, noshing on a few apps, with friends go to TW & M.
