I moived during the pandemic into an apartment in Duluth, right near Peachtree Industrial and Pleasant Hill Road. I won't name the complex, because I am really upset at the decline of the quality of living there over the past 11 months- but basically I asked a bunch of companies to get me estimates for moving on Friday night, and I ended up going with Tote because they sent out an estimator right away, and also the price was reasonable. Luke reached out to me Friday night, and we texted about getting someone over quickly. First thing Monday morning he was in my apartment, COVID aware and safely estimating the cost of my move. They were not the cheapest, but from the professionalism and thoroughness of walking through my entire place- his estimate wasn't that far off from the final bill. Monday I chose to move, they came today. Two days. This morning Tyson and Dexter called me on their way to my apartment to give me a heads up. We walked through the apartment and the clock started around 9:40. Within 2.5 hours they packed up my entire place and loaded it. I had many items already packed and they did an amazing job getting it out of the apartment so quickly and professionally. Literally world class workers. Zak called me and wanted to check in on how things were going. We discussed insurance options, and I let him know I was very pleased with the team they sent out. I moved about 13 miles. On the way here I bought lunch, and we provided drinks as a courtesy since these guys were CRUSHING it today. They were done about 30 minutes after the 5 hour estimate- but that's not a big deal in my book. All in all- they moved a 3 bedroom apartment in 5.5 hours. The unloading was also Championship level because there are three levels in the house and they were accommodating to the places we needed items moved. My parents had several boxes from their move. The movers gladly offered to take them out of the garage and also the boxes of packing paper. It was tremendous, the extra effort they made to make sure we were happy. I can't thank Dexter and Tyson enough. I was VERY happy that my family was happy. I want to give a special thank you to John Magruder, who is the head of operations there. I had one item damaged, and he resolved it about 5 minutes ago personally to my satisfaction. It's 10 PM, and he answered my texts (I was expecting to talk tomorrow, but he was going on vacation and wanted to get this resolved ASAP). Sincerely, a great person to offer to talk tonight and get this completely resolved so he can enjoy his vacation and I can move on with my unpacking and settling in. AWESOME person. Let me preface that I hate giving poor reviews to small businesses...I understand that reviews can be much more important to them than they are to large chains... that being said, moving is typically a high anxiety enterprise and you need to know as much info about who you choose to move with as you can. I also feel that all actions have consequences, some good, some bad...this is the latter. I recently had an out of state move with a full pack that I had set up with Tote Moving & Delivery months prior. I called in frequently to make sure everything was on schedule and was always told by the owner that it was. They called to inform two days prior to the move that they were going to outright cancel the move as they had 2 employees out sick and one other who had a family member pass. I understand that things happen and I can be sympathetic but to have no backup prepared for an out of state move and/or to not even offer to move the date back was unacceptable and put me in a terrible, stressful bind. This ended up costing me thousands of dollars extra to procure a last minute mover. I was also not pleased that I had spoken to the owner all throughout the process but when it came time to give me bad news, that job was given to another of his employees. I asked the owner to contact me and he told me he was too busy covering for the workers that were out. My total move was to be over $8000 and that did not even warrant a personal call back in the owner's eyes? *I will say they did offer to have another company that they had a relationship with try and assist me but when I read reviews of the other company, they were flat out scary. They were rated extremely poorly and many reviews mentioned fraud and theft, so I did not consider using them. That did not even seem like a viable solution based on what my research came back with. If you use Tote, perhaps you will have a better experience...but just know that the potential for the whole thing to fall apart is there, it happened to me. read more

Wish I could say great things about this company and the owner but I can't because of the service he gave me after the move was finalized. BE Sure to check the truck when they say their done unloading because they left some of our stuff on there that we didn't realize til after they left. Great service, polite, accommodating, and flexible. Zak is a great young man working on getting his startup moving business to be the best in Atlanta. This means good service, punctuality, understanding and fantastic customer support. He was upfront and honest with pricing, and we had a great experience with the guys that he hires. We had about 10,000 lbs worth of Household goods to pack, store, then move from Atlanta to FL. In that entire move, nothing broke. Just one small critique that I passed on to him was that I would have liked to have seen an inventory list. In other words, boxes aren't numbered, so it's tough to keep accountability of all the goods. However, we're not missing anything, and we were able to keep our own accountability. Just a heads up if you plan on moving a ton of stuff. All in all, Zak and his crew were top notch. Dexter, Devonte and Elon are a great group of hard working guys. They were very thorough and caring while packing and unpacking the truck. Their customer service was excellent, both houses weren't the easiest to find, but they called a little before they arrived and listened to directions well. During the process, they were fast and hard working, making sure they didn't waste much time and didn't damage anything. They have great personalities, making conversation during the move fun. I really appreciate all that they did, making moving fairly easy. Honestly, they were everything you could really ask for in a moving company; punctual, careful, good communication throughout the process, respectful, funny and efficient. I really appreciated these 3 coming out to help me and my girlfriend move into our new home. I also appreciate the owner responding to every negative review here on Yelp in a professional and transparent manner. The past 2 moving experiences I have had before Tote were awful. So, when I was looking for movers this time around I was very skeptical about who to hire - Tote was absolutely great to work with from beginning to end. When I first reached out, they spent all of the time needed to answer all of my questions, didn't rush me to make a decision, and assured that they would check in during my move. I had requested that I get a call at the expected midpoint of the move to confirm that everything was on track and going well. Most of the companies I spoke with either wouldn't call and check in or wouldn't commit to it. Tote was happy to check in and make sure the move was going well. The movers arrived early, they were polite, respectful, on-task and made my moving day an easy process. I highly recommend this company! We used Tote Movers in November 2020. It was a disaster. The movers did not secure the furniture on the truck so they could not get the rear door open to unload. Everything had moved and shifted causing EVERY PIECE IF FURNITURE to be scratched, nicked, dented, or broken. We filed a claim immediately and still have not come to a resolution. Our total driveway is cracked due to the trucks going on and off the driveway. The owner has not even contacted us like the other glowing reviews said. Do not use this company!!!! read more

Mike have came over to assess the house inventory to provide packing and loading services to my upcoming move. His professionalism and empathy have earned my trust and consideration. I have accepted their proposal to move the whole house and transfer it across the continent. They have showed up on time, and were caring / thoughtful along the way. Mike and his office team helped plan the move, found temporary storage and deployed a crew of four to take care of the everything. Despite household goods turned out a bit more than estimated and took more time, Mike kept team in check and engaged. They worked till end of day to get things loaded and moved. I have moved 6 times in the last 5 years (and yes I wish the 7 was a type-o). So, I think I'm a pretty good judge of movers. This was the best experience I have ever had. They showed up at 9:30, and called at 9:15 to let me know they were 15 minutes away. Their scheduled arrival time was between 9-10 so that's a positive for me. Before they started the clock, they did a survey of the most efficient way to get items out of my apartment and then the goods I had to move. When they were ready to get started, we agreed on the start time (what?! That's awesome) and off they went. I had two gentlemen and they Moved quickly. They communicated with each other well and when they did have conversations, they were professional and the conversation wasn't offensive. When they finished, they confirmed the stop time (again, that's fantastic) and I was followed up with by Meghan within 10 minutes after they left. I forgot to add that that also called the day before to confirm, something I have had to do in the past. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again. Moving During a Pandemic- Zak is extremely helpful and responsive! My husband and I sold our 2 bedroom condo shortly before the pandemic really began in ATL. We bought a new house and had it renovated. In the meantime, we moved ourselves into my parent's basement. We are not professionals, and moving ourselves 2x in 2 months was too much for my heart to handle. I was nervous to hire under the circumstances but Zak's guys were awesome! They came and disassembled all of the furniture that I wasn't able to the first time, packed everything up, and moved us from my parent's in East Cobb to Tucker. Not a single thing was broken or damaged! They brought blankets etc to wrap everything up with. The whole process too a bit longer than I expected (6 hours) but I think it was a fair amount of time for 3 guys given the level of detail and care that they put into our move. Could they have moved faster?... maybe. But would I have wanted them to?... nah. The time they spent was completely reasonable and I am very happy with the attention to detail and careful transport. Zak gave me one of the best prices of all of the local guys that I called and he came highly recommend by one of my favorite food bloggers on Instagram who also moved mid-pandemic. I'm glad I took a chance and hired Tote. Tote made the whole process a lot less stressful. I did pay a $100 deposit that they forgot to credit me for initially, but it was also my fault for not noticing when we were settling up. It was a matter of a quick phone call to Zak and they refunded the deposit back to me right away. Great customer service, care, and attention to detail. I'll never move myself ever again! Thanks, Zak! Also... side note: I saw the sleep number guy's poor review. I have a sleep number bed and it was just fine. Granted, I had the sense to look up how to disassemble and reassemble because it is not an ordinary mattress, but I assure you that Zak's guys did a perfect job transporting and setting up my swanky air mattress. :) read more

Moving? Stay clear of this schlock operation if you value your belongings. I write this review so that you aren't lulled into a false sense of security by having read & ultimately getting duped by the previous positive reviews, that in my opinion, are fictitious. I read those very same reviews, & thought that these people sounded decent enough, it's a short move from Smyrna to Atlanta, got a quote & went from there. They were one of about 6 that I contacted. Never have I ever experienced such a tragic move. I've travelled & moved numerous times, without incident. They broke my smooth move record. They arrived with too small of a truck, even though I'd sent a list of what was to be moved, right down to the dimensions of each piece. The dimensions of the large pieces of antique furniture & large tv should have given them a clue as to what sized truck they needed. I had each & every box labeled clearly. The list was originally sent when I had asked for a quote. I can understand & forgive many things, but I was just becoming exasperated by the unprofessionalism of it all. Let me begin...they went to the wrong address, even though I had confirmed the correct address the night before. They told me they had no tools. No Industrial moving dollies, & no blankets to wrap furniture. They're not allowed to take doors off hinges. This move was from a ground floor apt. around 20 ft from truck. They called for 1 other person & began at 10:45 am. The movers were now hungry. My partner left to buy them lunch, he took their orders individually & left. We do not begrudge feeding anyone, but Zac was supposed to bring them lunch, but hadn't. The mover in charge did try his best to keep the ppl focused, but his friends (in fairness & who were very nice ppl) were definitely not professional, organized movers. They broke my 19th century mirror within the first 15 mins. Just as a side note, one person did come by & popped her head in the door asking me how it was going? I was trying to keep everyone on track. Zac had advised me that they would send an invoice to me within the week, with a different total other than quoted, & to review, decide & let them know if it was fair. I agreed to reviewing the invoice. It took me a good week to unpack, get the furniture placed properly, & look everything over. It was an arduous task, in that I had to stop & document damage as I was unpacking. I did eventually meet Zac's regular moving crew, decent ppl, professional & seemed to know exactly what needed doing. I would have been moved in, organized & not having to write this review if those guys had moved me. Their faces said it all when they saw my things in disarray. The building manager (this is an extravagantly large converted Store/Warehouse near the 4th Ward) was absolutely astounded by the lack of professionalism & ineptitude of this move. He expressed his dismay to me. It was abysmal. Zac asked if I would like to 'store' my things on 'their' truck? I replied no thank you. I had them move my belongings from their truck to the storage area. Not even inside the storage unit, just in the hall, I just wanted them gone. My 2 8ft sofas had been knocked about, shoved repeatedly through the too small door, (I was unpacking in another room) chipped, scratched, pieces came off, if these had been a less sturdy sofas, they wouldn't have survived. My Victorian 2 pc étagère ended up with a few gouges, scratches and chips. The bureau has nicks & deep scratches. I did ask that they didn't touch my 17th century clock for obvious reasons at this point. It was exhausting trying to move things myself, with a prior lower back fusion, it was not an easy feat. As many of you know, moving is difficult & stressful enough without having to corral ppl & get them moving in a manner that would lead you to believe they were professionals. It was 11:00pm when they left. Tired & terribly disappointed, we went to bed. No sheets though, they were in the boxes in the hall. They didn't come back until much later the next day, around 4:00, to continue on their path of destruction. They chipped the walls down the long hallway, scraped and knocked out the top part of the elevator, ruined the entry door, walls, furniture & broke some other furniture. Not only that, but I had to rent a van to pick up the rest of my things that they'd left behind for some reason. They were so slow & inefficient. If you look at the photos they've got posted, you'll see professional moving supplies. I'd like to know where all these blue blankets, dollies & other misc. things were when attempting to move me. Not professional movers but wanted to charge me a professional price. Sadly, some people will not take responsibility for their actions & misconstrue the truth. Be sure to keep detailed records, plenty of before & after photos & lastly, plenty of witnesses. I also contacted the BBB. Stay well clear. read more

Tote moving and Zak moved me from Atlanta to St Pete. They showed up on time and worked hard. They did a good job packing the kitchen and china cabinet. TV's , computer and printers arrived ok though cords and cables were packed haphazardly. Zak drove the truck down and hired a couple local guys to unload. Zak spent about 2 hours trying to set up the Sleep Number bed. He said a problem with Sleep Number website. Zak left after setting up a service call with Sleep Number. He did not leave the inventory documentation with me, just made a hasty retreat. I have since asked him several times to send me the inventory docs. No response. Sleep number made 2 trips over 3 weeks to set up the damaged bed. If you choose to use Zak keep it simple. read more

Zak was very responsive throughout the scheduling process, the team was punctual on moving day (Zak gave us a 9-10am arrival time estimate, and they showed up right at 9), they were all very kind, and the whole move went very well. This was my first time working with a moving company, and this was a corporate move at my new job (only been here two weeks), so I would've been nervous no matter what moving company we'd selected. It was such a positive experience and I really appreciate the care that Mike and Adam took in moving my furniture. Before the clock started, they did a walkthrough of all my stuff and had a conversation about the most efficient way to get things moved. They understood that I was in a bind because my lease would be up in a couple of days but I wasn't closing on my house for a month. We enjoyed the privilege of having Tote Moving and Delivery assist with relocating our large household within Forsyth County GA. While moving is generally a big pain, I've never enjoyed a crew like we had from Totes. MJ, JB, Juwon, Adam, Lamond, Dex, Tya, and lil Mike were incredibly polite, professional, and diligent. They worked nearly 12 hours loading and unloading three big trucks, and they never stopped doing it right and treating each other and us with the utmost respect. We had to change our moving date a few times and they were unusually patient and flexible! This was one of the worst experiences of my life. To check out, they put me on the phone with the movers pioneer with their boss. When asked how I thought the move went, I felt extremely uncomfortable to be honest with the mover standing right there. Then my card got declined. A few seconds later, I received a fraudulent alert and approved the charge with my bank. Hence, why it was declined. The manager continued to say it was declined over the phone knowing about the fraudulent alert I received. Then was not polite and didn't say anything like " we'll charge it in an hour since you received the fraudulent text or I'm so sorry that happened. Nothing. He was just aggressive about it being declined knowing it wasn't the amount, my bank thought it was fraud. I was panicked between the manager and the mover standing over my shoulder. I was forced to use a different card that i was not intending on using. Causing a ripple of effect of panic making sure my money was squared away. They know where I live, they should have be reassurance I was going to pay and to charge in an hour or 2. Also, I spent over 46 minutes on the phone with the owner to go over my inventory to give me a quote of the move. They said it should take about 2 hours but they have a 3 hours minimum. I thought that was absolutely fine and booked them. On the day of they showed up 2 hours late pushing my day back. I had other appointments scheduled based off of when they were going to be there and through everything off. The movers were incredibly nice and polite but didn't move quickly or efficiently. The move took 4 hours and 45 minutes...... much more than the quoted 2 hours. This cost me almost double what the original quote was. A little transparency would have been nice. I will never use the movers again and would not recommend them. I felt ripped off and bullied by the whole experience. read more

Unfortunately, these were not the efficient movers that I was expecting given the previous reviews. The movers took almost 4 hours on the front-end alone to move a 1-bedroom unit + on-site storage unit and did not bring tools for furniture disassembly, which led to further delays as we had to purchase a screwdriver since we had already packed up ours. To save time since we were paying by the hour, we helped unload on the back-end and did not have any of our furniture reassembled. In our past moves, we moved faster. When we expressed our concerns about the length of the move, we were told that we could have booked more guys (which is more expensive), and that elevators take a long time. Our apartment is on the second floor and the movers could have used the stairs next to the elevator if that would have been faster. read more

Unfortunately, I got laid off the day before my move due to the COVID-19 crisis, but he was very understanding and did not charge me anything extra. This is a long overdue review. Overall, I am very satisfied with their services. The place I was moving to was about an hour drive from where I was living and I had my bedroom furnitures and kitchen appliances moved. It took them about 3 hours from start to finish which to me is pretty good. The two movers were extremely nice and timely. I didn't really had to do anything except to wait. Don't use Tote! (I only gave them one star because my review would not list without one.) It was a nightmare. I had called Tote to pick up and deliver some furniture from a private home estate sale. It turned into such a bad experience that the police were called by a neighbor who had come over to see what was going on. The police found it necessary to call for backup. The backstory: The Tote team was supposed to pick up the items I had bought around 12:30. They texted that they were on their way and were about 10 minutes out shortly before noon. At 1:45 they still had not arrived. The seller had a 2:00 appointment she had to miss. Finally, they called. I asked them to turn in at the first driveway near the mailbox and drive front first up the driveway. They did not follow those instructions; instead, they went to the second entrance which was the end of a circular driveway where they got stuck. Their truck was too low in the back to just back straight down without turning so as not to run over the homeowners sprinkler heads. They had no idea what to do. It took until 2:05 for them to get out of the driveway with the assistance of a neighbor who put wood and bricks on the driveway and the street for them to back over in order to raise the back of the truck. It was still so bad that they scraped the blacktop off the public street causing a pothole. I called the Tote dispatcher and told him the crew was angry and upset, as were we alI. He said they weren't angry, but I could cancel the move, which I did. However, the moving crew refused to leave, triggering the summoning of the police. The police evidently felt the situation was bad enough to require calling for backup. The homeowner was trapped in her home, afraid to leave. She is still worried that the crew will come back to cause trouble. If they had broken her sprinkler system, she had said she was going to sue me and I'd have to sue Tote. Could this botched attempt at a furniture delivery have possibly been any worse? read more

I got four other quotes before selecting Tote and am beyond grateful I did. Not one item was broken and the move (an office and three storage units) took a full day. Fast response and willing to just move one piece (was moving a treadmill). The problem is they tried to shove the treadmill around and chipped away paint on my stairs bannister and broke the handlebar and tray on the treadmill (and didn't tell me). We just used Tote Moving and Delivery to move our 4 bedroom house from Oxford, GA to Social Circle, GA. I have to say, we were GREATLY impressed with the 2 movers they sent out to us. We had Dexter and Mike from Atlanta. They were the hardest working 2 guys I have ever met!!! They worked non-stop and never slowed down for a second! I had to force them to slow down and drink water. Lol. They were extremely careful with all of our belongings. They wrapped everything carefully and taped everything up like they were moving their own stuff. I would feel comfortable recommending Dexter and Mike to any of my family and friends. They were great guys and made the move so easy. I know most people are watching the clock when they are using a moving service by the hour, but you don't have to think twice about it with these guys!!! I am very disappointed with this moving company. The move was from Marietta, Ga to Lakeland, Fl. They broke the legs to my wife's dresser along with some accessories to my daughters bed. When the owner Zak arrived with the truck in Lakeland, i had to wait for his workers to get here for i was un aware that he had to contract workers for the unloading. As soon as the workers got here they started asking me for something to drink or eat. I would hope that Zak the owner would provide food for them. He even asked me for tools to build things and when i told them i didn't have tools he actually asked me to ask my neighbor for tools who i don't even know. I said no. I am very confused with all these good reviews because to me this delivery was awful. Its been 2 weeks and i'm still waiting for the parts he took to fix. He left everything half ass as far as the assembly. I would never recommend this company by my moving. I even gave him a nice refrigerator to take home that was left behind in the house. I have never heard of a moving company to ask for tools but i guess you learn something everyday. Would not recommend. Julio read more
