Tottenham Court Road (TCR) is a pretty cool part of town - served by many tube stations and just a short walk away from the Euston Road train stations, closest of course to London Euston, I regularly hang around here to kill time before heading back to my home-town of Manchester for the capital, as it is in a great location for centra London whether you're walking or using the bus/tube, while also being close to the station so I know I'll be in time for my train.
The road is served by three stations on the London Underground--from south to north these are Tottenham Court Road, Goodge Street and Warren Street--and by numerous bus routes - Euston Square is also nearby past the University Hospitals (this is one of two partially step-free stations nearby alongside Tottenham Court Road)
Leading on from New Oxford Street, many brands are located here including Boots, Starbucks (more than one!), Currys PC World and many-more - it is pretty much known for its' electronics and although it might be lacking retailers it once did in that era due to the dominance of Regent Street and Oxford Street nearby - which has both the Apple and Microsoft stores, the latter being the brand's first in Europe - there still is a pretty cool selection here, especially with the Currys PC World which was their flagship branch until they opened on Oxford Street, yet this one of course remained.
Leon has various outlets here including the traditional big-name coffee-shops - Planet Organic has one of their seven locations here which just smells incredible, so that shows this isn't just a place for tech lovers - there's even an Odeon cinema along the road and as you go further Paperchase have their flagship location here, close to an Argos and Metro Bank.
A major road in Fitzrovia, London might not be the city's best shopping street but that doesn't mean it isn't a pretty decent part of town.
