I particularly enjoy the breakfast they provide at the Plymouth branch of their chain. This is because of the extensive nature of the food provided, the spacious tables and chairs arrangement (not too close to other guests, room to push your chair out a little, etc.) and the beautiful view. However, they do have impersonal customer service, but isn't that what we all expect anyway from such a large business? Surely if we're just traveling for business and are tired most of the time, we don't need some customer service person asking us how we're doing every hour, do we? I think for the money, chains of hotels like this are brilliant. If you didn't want the corporate feel, you could stay somewhere else and pay less.

This was after we left the room at 11 am for an outside engagement. Front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. Reservations manager not much better. Letchworth is a quaint town founded in 1906 as the First Garden City. Finally they have several good pubs and decent eating places. This station is very easy to navigate with a whole flock of taxis waiting outside ready to take you where you need to go. They also have a ton of bus stops here for travel. Outside the station are all sorts of convenience stores, hotels and there is even a skateboarding park just about a block away. It's very convenient to walk to from my company apartment (about a 15 minute walk) so was super convenient during my time in MK to get to London.

Luckily, the weather was really good that day. Checking in couldn't have gone any easier. It was quick, efficient, and the staff were very friendly. Our room was quite comfortable and not claustrophobic at all. The bathroom had a decent amount of space as well. The beds were very comfy but the comforters were really nice, soft and warm. People take towels from hotels all the time, right? What about comforters? No, no no, I didn't. We only stayed one night but it was a good night. We did have coffee in the bar the next morning while waiting for a friend but we missed breakfast service (ends at 10:00am). We hung around the hotel lobby for quite a while, even after we had checked out, waiting for another friend to join us. The staff were fine with that, and even recommended their location in Prague, our next destination. We booked it online before leaving. I preferred the Milton Keynes location but would stay at either one again.

The last time I used them we would have been late for our show in London had Steve not told us we needed to leave earlier. Going the extra mile (pardon the pun) is something they do as a matter of course!
