I purchased 3 tickets for the April 26, 3:00 pm Keukonhof excursion. One of those tickets was for my 80 year old mother who required a wheel chair for the garden. Prior to our trip, we arranged for the wheel chair and were told that they could not hold it if we were late. We arrived for the excursion approximately 30 minutes before departure. As we stood in line to board the bus to leave for the excursion, we were told the bus had been oversold and that we could not board. We were treated rudely by two of your employees who were "assisting" with the boarding process. After one of your male employees went on a tirade about how it wasn't his fault that the bus was oversold, we were told that another bus was coming and would take us and two other passengers to the gardens. My sister explained our dilemma with the wheel chair for our mother, hoping that someone could call ahead for us to make sure it would still be available for our late arrival. Our concerns were dismissed and we were once again treated disrespectfully. As we boarded our (late) bus, we were told we could go back on another bus with a guide, which would be an upgrade for our inconvenience.
We did arrive at the garden and, luckily, the wheel chair was available; however, because your company over sold the tour and we couldn't get on the bus that left at the correct time, we were shorted 45 minutes visiting the gardens. When we returned to board the bus for our return trip to Amsterdam, another one of your rude female employees told us we could not get on the bus and insisted that she had a right to interrupt our private conversation and further berate us. It was finally resolved and we were allowed to board the bus, but not before we were once again treated as if this whole experience were our fault and we were inconveniencing your company.
I paid your company $145.05 (US dollars), not only to not get what I paid for (a 5 hour trip), but also to be treated rudely. I will not recommend this tour to anyone. This was a traumatic experience for our mother and the worst example of hospitality to foreign travelers that I have seen in a very long time. You would do yourself a favor by training your employees to be kind and helpful. read more
