I was fed up with being charged in the region of £400 for a quick once-over at the local main dealer and found that TVS would do the same work for £125, which included a car wash afterwards. They clearly care about customer service, otherwise they wouldn't include a feedback card with the invoice. A (female) friend, who has used them twice on my recommendation, likes the fact that they explain everything in straightforward terms. I emphasise the female part because traditionally garages engage Patronising Mode the moment a lady customer steps through the door. TVS have my automotive business for as long as they keep delivering this standard of service at these prices.

The cafe has been relocated to the new upper floor but is woefully short of toilets, a whole two and they're both intended for the diasbled however a wheelchair user would need to run the gauntlet of the tray carrying cafe customers and the closely placed tables in order to use them. To say the layout wasn't very well thought out is a bit of an understatement. Unfortunately the store also has a thriving home delivery service which has expanded into the carpark. Shoppers use the free parking spaces at Tesco to visit the newly built Eagles Meadow Shopping Mall which is opposite the store making parking in what was already a small carpark almost impossible on a saturday. At peak times you'll be queuing to get in and queing to get out.

The staff were very polite and efficient and the job was carried out promptly as arranged. Their technical knowledge appeared first class, and the member of staff explained things to me in a clear and understandable way. I made a 2nd visit today to have my wheel alignment "checked", this visit also went smoothly. It is such a refreshing change to deal with such an efficient company, and I will certainly be using this branch in the future, and naturally recommend them to friends and colleagues. I'm really angry about my recent experience at the HANLEY-STOKE branch as they damaged my vehicle…read moreand I now have to pay an additional £150-£250 at a main dealer to have the damage repaired! I took my vehicle to this branch for new front pads and new front tyres (fitted by Afsar Ali) but as soon as I left the branch I noticed the service light flickering on and off. I had an urgent job to get to that day so I couldn't go back straight away and I then didn't use the vehicle again for another 5 days. The next time I drove the vehicle the service light started flickering again and I also noticed that the brakes were squealing quite badly too so I contacted the manager who advised that brake noise is common with new pads and I should drive the vehicle and allow time for the pads to settle in. The noise got worse and worse over the next few weeks and the flickering service light became permanent with a "check brake wear" alert on the dash panel so I took the vehicle back for another inspection as soon as Xmas/New year was over. I was then told (and shown) that the ABS brake sensor wire had been torn out of the brake sensor socket but nobody at the branch could fix it and they couldn't get the parts either. When I asked how this could've happened I was given a series of ridiculous answers from the duty manager (Afsar Ali) because he didn't want to admit that it was him or one of the other mechanics that caused the damage when they changed the pads a few weeks earlier. The wire wasn't torn out when the vehicle was first taken into the branch as they would've noticed it and mentioned it if it was, and the "flickering service light" and "brake warning" issues only started immediately after the pads were changed so it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the damage was caused by the mechanic that performed the work. There's no way that I can prove the damage was caused in the branch but they know it as well as I do. Thanks for giving me a great start to 2018 Afsar Ali. Shame you're not man enough to admit your mistakes and I hope karma catches up with you one day!

An initial phone enquiry was met with an enthusiastic and welcoming response and I was reassured they had the tyre we needed. When we arrived, customer service was second to none, we were made comfortable and aided in unpacking our luggage to put away the spare etc. The owner showed us into the small waiting room and even made us coffee, whilst the tyre was replaced and was very chatty and freindly. In addition they offered to wash the car, which was filthy, prior to the drive home and did so very thoroughly. The price was also highly competitive - we had paid significantly more previously for the same tyre. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
