I came to this Service Canada for a passport renewal. I made an appointment ahead of time online,…read morealmost two months in advance. Even then, it was really hard to find the perfect time slot so definitely check often and early if you want to make an appointment. There was a lot of signage on the outside of this location. One of the signs instructed those with an appointment to skip any line and go directly to the welcome desk. I read this twice before heading in. There was a line of about 8 parties of folks waiting to be seen on one side of the stanchions. It was mortifying to be the one person on the other side walking right past the line. I actually walked back outside to check the sign again before doing so. I'm really glad I followed the instructions though because once the Service Canada member was done assisting the current guest, they immediately asked me if I had an appointment to ease my insecurities. At check-in, I confirmed the details of my appointment. I was then sent to the waiting area where I was told I'd hear my name called. There isn't a speaker or number system there so you really have to listen since the reps are behind plexiglass. I only waited 10 minutes past my allotted appointment time to be seen. The rep that helped me was friendly and polite. Pretty day and night from some horror stories I had at DMVs in the US!

We went there to look at the autumn colours and it was so beautiful. We walked the Buffalo Crag trail, which was a 3KM trail, and the Vista Adventure trail, which was a 1.5KM trail. He wrote 1:00pm on a sticky note and told me to come back after 30 minutes. He was friendly enough. I asked him how long the wait was once I get inside. He told me it was two to three hours. I asked him if I'm allowed to take my laptop in to do work. He said that there were no electronics allowed on at all. No gaming system, no laptop, no cell phone etc. I mean you can have it but you gotta keep it off. I guess it's for security purposes as India has terrorist threats and attacks at times. So you gotta take some reading material to occupy yourself. There were a lot of people waiting. I barely was able to look in but I could kinda sense the room was stuffy. It kinda smelled like indian food lol. And yes, there were a lot of people waiting. He recommended coming back first thing in the morning. I will try the morning, but at another location.
