Highly dissatisfied with the services requested and the unprofessionalism displayed by the driver on duty the night of 10/22. Upon arrival I kindly requested of the driver to assist my disabled sister with her baggage when he informed me that he was leaving and would not be assisting her with this. "According to the driver we where messing with him.?" He arrived at the requested pick up location at 2:33 am. At this time was when I kindly requested for his assistance with her baggage, after being informed of the need for his help he departed from the location no less than 4 minutes later. Departure time was before 2:37 am as I called back when my disabled sister made it out of her home to see that he had left the location without her. First and foremost the unprofessionalism and blatant disrespectful treatment of a paying customer was absolutely unacceptable. I then reached back out to the driver who refused to provide me with his name so that I could not inform his supervisor of the unprofessional and discriminatory treatment we endured while requesting Greater Lowell Town Taxis services on this night. After this is addressed with his direct supervisor I will next be informing The Better Business Bureau of this drivers actions, as well as his unprofessionalism and discriminatory misconduct displayed. This driver needs to be re-trained on how to professionally and appropriately communicate with customers. Moving forward this driver should display a full understanding of what the repercussions of discriminating and declining to providing services to a paying disabled customer due to there physical inability to reach his vehicle in less than 4 minutes. read more

Called cab service. The distance to drive is one mile, and coffee is on the way; it was one stop and cost fifteen dollars. The cab driver was pleasant - didn't smoke in the vehicle (which some cab drivers will). My first question to the cab driver is, "How old is the vehicle?" The car had a delayed response. The vehicle I was in was a 2007 with more than 200,000 miles and the transmission was going out. The driver said Town Taxi will not stop using a vehicle until it runs it to the ground. I called Town Taxi after, I spoke with a man at 8:30 am today who stated that his name is Jason, whose only response was that I could use another service. I use Yellow Cab and Uber for the same stop for less than half the cost and with better vehicles. read more

I'm not sure what their website means by serving the Lowell area. They didn't appear to want to serve me from the Chelmsford / Lowell line. I called Town Taxi asking for a ride down Route 110 from the Chelmsford / Lowell line to the Chelmsford / Westford line. TaxiFareFinder.com lists this at about 6 miles with an estimated cost of between $19 - $22 (including 15% tip) The women dispatcher at Town Taxi (who was professional and polite) said that the ride would cost me $35. When I asked why, she said because they are based out of downtown Lowell and would have to travel to Chelmsford. I understand that they are based out of Gorham St in Lowell and would have to travel 3.8 miles to pick me up at the Lowell / Chelmsford line. Not sure if that 3.8 miles warrants a $15 surcharge. Litteraly i cant believe this happened. I called for a pick up at 1pm for 1:40pm at an elementary school to pick up my niece.. i explained to the dispatch that they have to wait for her to get out so she may not be out exactly at 1:40.. they called me exactly at 1:40 saying she isnt outside and i told them again that its a school they may have to wait 5 minutes... 20 minutes later my niece called and said they havent shown up.. so i called and the dispatch said he left cause she wasnt outside.. (mind you she was outside exactly at 1:45) but they didnt even call me to tell me that he hadnt found her and he is leaving cause of course they may have more calls. Which is fine if they would have called so i could call another cab. Well come to find out the guy wasnt even at the right place he wasnt even at a school. So thank you Town Taxi my niece didnt get home till 3 .. like this is a child the least you could have done was call me and say sorry but we cant pick her up at this point..like i explained to you that its a school you have to wait.
