Very crowded (my picnic table is about 3 feet from my neighbor's sewer connection) and basically just a gravel lot with trees (thank goodness for the trees). Lots of long term residents with all their stuff so it looks pretty junky and the dumpsters were overflowing when we got here so not a great first impression. On the positive side, the laundry facility was clean and affordable and the staff I interacted with were very nice. I don't like paying resort prices for a very non-resort experience - even required quarters for the shower!

Our original site was not suitable for our truck and trailer, but after speaking with a Corp of Engineers' representative, we were moved into a site that worked well for us. The camp host was helpful and we enjoyed our time at this spot. A gas station, little store and other amenities were within walking distance. The beach was close and boating, paddle boarding and other water spots were enjoyed by all. We were there over the 4th and could see fireworks from several different spots.

The empty check-post is decorated (so cute) for the winter holiday season. It's about halfway between Minot and Bismarck- a convenient midway break on our shopoing trips to Bismarck.
