The manager made an exception for me to accept cash for the 1st 2 nights. Also because of debit card issue and WiFi issues, I would have been stranded at the Amtrak station. She was professional and super nice. That goes a long way, especially when I called 3 times. She probably thought what is wrong with this crazy woman lol. Once we got to the hotel, Kyla was super helpful and kind and got us checked in quickly. We travel with my mom who has health issues so once she is tired, We must get her into a bed, and quick. She communicated about check out times and the breakfast. The room was spotless clean, what a housekeeping Crew They Must have. Great job! Extra towels and washcloths were great to have to clean up quick. Now, we had a king size bed with the pull out sofa. The kind size bed was Dreamy to Lay across and sprawl out! The sheets were clean and crisp and perfect to Sleep on. The room temperatures were great! I slept like a baby and woke up refreshed. We plan to come back on the way back! I stayed at this location for two months total. So I know the ins and outs very well…read more I would not stay here another day, having experienced and knowing what I know about this hotel now. The only thing that kept me at this location for so long despite its low quality, was the suite type rooms that it offers. The space is very ample for one or two people. Almost like a personal apartment room. Reasons why I would never stay here again: The hotel is very old, over 12 years at the time of this writing so I was told. The walls and flooring are very thin and cheaply made. A door slam clear down the end of the hall will not only be heard in your bedroom at night, but also felt. Your bed and room will shake. Running or feet moving on the floors above you can be heard in your room. Young, bitchy front desk workers purposely slam housekeeping doors at night to wake guests up. Housekeepers will do the same in the mornings and afternoons. So depending upon your normal sleep schedule, be aware. These door slams will shake and rock your entire room. Bed and all. The evening night reception food and drink options are very cheap and low quality. The Staybridge in Bismarck is of higher quality. Not sure what happened with the one in Minot? The drink lady at the evening reception is not happy with life and is not very kind. It is an inconvenience to her when you need a drink or a refill. At the Bismarck location, there is no drink lady! You just grab your own drink from the keg. Or your own glass of wine. Evening beer drinkers only have two options the whole time, Coors Light or Steiner Bock. Bismarck location actually offered two local options which was nice. There are 4 white wine options each night. Zero red wine options. Why? Because guests like red wine, and this is a nuisance to the drink witch. Breakfast here is horrible. Holiday Inn has better breakfast. Young, bitchy front desk workers are lazy, and helping you with anything is no major concern for them. At night, many can be found sleeping at the front desk. Sheets are dirty. Please see attached photos. Spend your money and stay elsewhere. You will have a more peaceful sleep, also better experience all around.

Reasonably priced option in MOT where there aren't that many options. Optimal location for business…read moreand leisure activities. Attractively priced. Great staff and decent complimentary breakfast and manager's evening reception F&B. However, no daily housekeeping and poor maintenance/response to service requests. Notified front desk 3 times of low water pressure, lack of hot water and broken shampoo/soap dispenser. No action taken. Also not a fan of housekeeping every 7 days. Overall, prefer Hampton Inn and Suites on Broadway, near the airport or Hyatt House as these offer more elevated stay experience.

The water pressure in the shower was lacking, but it's an older building. Interesting to walk up into the hotel and walk the halls. Places you right back into high school. There aren't a a lot of amenities. Bring your own toiletries. But the rooms were very nice and comfortable. The room for a weekend was $96 a night, felt like that was reasonable. Will come here again when I'm back in town for fishing.

If you're in Riverdale, you don't have many hotel options. The Riverdale High Lodge is a…read morerespectable choice. As you might guess from the name, this used to be a school. The owner definitely put some money into this place in order to convert it into a hotel. In each room, you'll find a couple beds and a large TV. Unfortunately, my TV did not work and nobody was around who could help. You also will notice that the staff is the most diverse group you could imagine for rural North Dakota. The staff is primarily high school age students from abroad (So far I've met people from Kyrgyzstan, Korea, Russia, and Indonesia!). They are all very nice, but there are certainly some translation issues as you could guess! In order to check in, you may have to go into the restaurant area and flag someone down. It's not a big deal, but just good to know.T he nightly rate is about $90, which is bit high for the middle of nowhere, ND. The floors are on the thin side and you can hear every step taken in the room above you, so stay on the 2nd floor if you have the chance (there is no elevator though). I also recently discovered that this place has a gym and also a workout room. My personal preference (for the same price) is to stay elsewhere in town, but the Riverdale High Lodge is an OK choice!

Asked night mgr about walk-in shower, told all rooms have showers. Asked about the success of new "pizza venture" he told me it's slow when they aren't full of fishermen, closed on Sun and Mon. A/C-Heater fan in the room very noisy and room was humid, not unexpected on ground floor. Put suit cases in room, "Do not disturb" sign on door, went to visit family. Sunday: I took a shower, tub wall too high for wife with mobility problems, washed her hair in the sink using a glass to wet and rinse hair, used wash cloth, soap and towels to clean up. Monday: I took a shower, used last bath towel, wife cleaned as previous. Tuesday: I used damp bath towel and opened back-up roll of toilet paper and emptied Kleenex box, left room between 10 & 11 AM, turned door tag to request cleaning. Returned 9-10 PM. No change to the room, talked with Night Mgr about lack of service. He gave me replacement towels, Kleenex and toilet paper. He said he would leave a note for the day shift. Left Next day, Wed, about 10 AM. I spoke with a cleaner (don't know his name) and Front desk lady reminding them we needed cleaning (wet towels in room), again changed tag on door requesting service. Returned Wed night about 9 or 10 PM. Nothing changed. I admit I lost it with the lady at the front desk and dropped the "f" word because I can't seem to get the room cleaned. Shortly after I received a knock on our door, a lady explaining that she was responsible for all the people in the hotel and that if I did not immediately go to the front desk and apologize to the night employee she would contact the local police and have us physically removed from the premises. Obviously I do not want to go to Minot or Bismark to look for a hotel room so I went to the front desk and apologized to the employee, not her fault anyway but I still had an issue with her not looking at me as I complained. The general manager stated that she checked with her employees and none of them ever spoke with me. She, general manager, then told me that the cleaning people start their day when the contractors leave their rooms, between 8-9 AM. They make one pass through the hotel, if there is a "do not disturb" sign on the door at that time there will not be any service that day. Further more, towels, etc. are exchanged after 3 days, linens after 5 days. I didn't find that written anywhere but I guess it is in the employee handbook. On Thurs morning about 8 AM we received a knock on our door (do not disturb) on the door. It was one of the cleaners telling me that she had a very specific note stressing that she "must" talk with me. I explained that everything was settled the previous night, she said she thought anytime before 3 PM requesting service was standard. I told her she needed to double check because that had changed. She then took the damp towels, asked if we wanted clean sheets, I told her we were leaving on Fri and really didn't need them at this point. This probably won't be posted but it should be pretty obvious that we won't be back. I imagine we would be "black-listed" by the hotel as well.
