They were friendly and hospitable, and their rates for tent camping are good. The facilities are pretty clean. One time, I was exhausted when I arrived late at night, and I misplaced my car keys after I set up my tent. I discovered they were missing in the morning and kind of panicked. But when I walked back to my car, I found the keys sticking out of the keyhole in the trunk... They'd been there all night and all morning, in full view of everyone who walked by the main building, and nobody touched them! How many places are safe enough that something like *that* could happen?! The only downside is that if you get there after dark and get assigned to one of the campsites that are back in the woods, it can be hard to follow the map and see the entrance to find your campsite. The sites and roads could be marked more clearly. I spent about 30 minutes searching this relatively small place one time. But despite that, overall I really like this please and would recommend it.

One of the sites was had a max size limit of 60 feet. Between our two RV we were under that measurement. We are a large family with seniors and veterans in our group and arrived late in the evening and parked both RVs on the same site. Early the next morning a lady came by and told us to move one of the RV's. She never identified herself and we said after everyone was a wake we would move it. The previous day was a long day of travel and we would have to wake people up to put our slide outs in. She came back a little later as we were packing up to move (the keys were in the ignition and you could tell we were preparing to leave and she demanded that we move ASAP. We moved, in fact we left the site for the day for a family reunion. When we return to the site to drop off some of our family there was sandwich board sign in the middle if the site they said "ONE RV PER SITE. " okay Karen your sarcasm is not going to be tolerated. Our RV was moved there was no need for your sign. (Their sign was relocated into the weeded area near our site, I didn't want anyone to accidentally run over it" She and presumably her boss came by later that night as we were dropping people off. They did mot take kindly when we asked they the reason for this rule especially when other people around us had boats and cars parked on the grass their sites. We are allowed one additional vehicle. Instead of answering questions they called the Sheriff. I am 45 years old and never had the Sheriff called on me. When the Sheriff arrive we explained what was going on the guy laughed and did not understand b

Has onsite restrooms, playground, covered eating area volleyball and basketball areas. Gas station and other amenities nearby in town. The site was easy to back into. Drive past the playground and covered eating area and look for the white sign on the left side. A really nice surprise to find this easy overnighter.

When we went (September) there was a farmer's market. There were ducks and geese in the water. The place was clean; no garbage around - plenty of places to throw trash. Lots of trees, strong WiFi, boat ramp into river, and a very large playground and park. Dump station and fish grinder at the other end of Harmon Rd along the main highway. Fire rings and picnic table at east site, restroom with shower at the south end of the loop, near the camp host site. Trail available to walk 1 mile to Knife River National Historic Site, a great small free National Park Service unit with the village site where Sakakawea lived before being recruited by the Lewis and Clark expedition. Also a strong option for overflow crowds who want to go to Lake Sakakawea for boating and fishing but can't (or choose not to) get into Hazen Bay or the state park. Not much highway noise as such, but the park loop road is well-used by locals getting to the playground (also a little noisy with local families) and the fishing / boating area. But for the rate, probably the best value around by far.
