Although lovely to look at, this couch was shoddily built with a support system made of particle board which we discovered when the whole thing cracked and sank to the floor. Neal came over to assess the situation and although it was not an easy fix he rebuilt the supports with solid hardwood and the sofa is better than ever. Probably since I wasn't ordering new treatments and just wanted the existing treatments resized. Well, I was so frustrated and then I found Glenda and her mother and I drove to Greenville from Clifton Park. They really get by on word of mouth as the family seems to have been in this business for a very long time. It was well worth the drive. They took the time to figure out what configuration would work best in my house and then they redid all the treatments and remounted them on a new board. I expected this to be fairly expensive but they were very reasonable. I would highly recommend the Sewing Room for any upholstery projects or window treatments that you might need. They are great at solving problems that other places just won't touch. And they are perfectionists. The advantage over "stores" is that the person you speak with will also be the person that does the work and the installation so you really know what you are getting beforehand. It's a pretty drive from the Albany area but go on a nice day...country roads might not be so great in snow. Really only took me 50 minutes from Clifton Park...probably 25 from Delmar. Bottom line...really impressed.
